Starpaw raced towards nowhere in particular, wanting only to get away from the clan she hated so much. "I haven't eaten since yesterday, but I don't think I could catch anything on my own," she thought as she ran. "But they won't come looking for me. My only connection to the clan was through my mother...and now she's gone." Starpaw blinked a few times as tears threatened to rise. "I'm really tired, I can't go much further." Starpaw stopped running, gasping for breath, then started to look for a suitable place to rest. "This place looks all right."
