Cringing away from Alexandria as she snapped at him, he stared at her with wide blue eyes. "I uh uh... I'm sorry for asking." he mumbled slowly scooting away from her. "And no I don't have a hard on for him. I seriously like that daft git." he muttered back, his early morning drowsiness turning to bitterness from her rudeness. Spotting Mercury further down the table, Andy nearly sighed in annoyance. Not at Mercury per say, more at the fact that the younger student had decided to seat himself in the section the younger Slytherin's sat. Steeling himself up for the oncoming flirty smiles, stink eyes, and sneering words he made his way over to the Black family member before plopping down next to him. Giving him a slow look from pale blue eyes, he tipped his head in a form of him saying good morning without words.

Listening intently to the words Gerrit was saying a slightly sad look crossed his features. "There's always the option of dating people to find out what type of person you do like. That's what people typically do, ah. Actually I suppose I can only speak for Americans. People in America date to do exactly what you just said, and it's to at least give that person a chance to be the one." he rambled. Seemingly unable to process the thought of everyone being Gerrit's friend, Hydrobius simply stared up at him with wide sad eyes. "So if Andrew just walked up to you and confessed his love for you, what would you do? What would you do if I said I liked you? Or even Alice?" he said with a wave towards the female who was walking away. "Would you not give any of us a chance? Despite our feelings?" he asked, eyebrows furrowing.

"And I know someone's house doesn't matter." he basically groaned, flopping over backwards to look as though was almost falling out of Gerrit's lap. "The point of that sentence was lost in the sands of time." he sighed to himself.

Eyes tracking Alexandria leave the Great Hall a pang of sadness burst into his chest, hearing Mercury speaking to the younger students had his attention turned back towards the fourth year. Almost wanting to laugh at their dumbfounded faces, Andrew's lips twitched in a faint grin. "Sure, although have you eaten yet?" he asked, eyebrows furrowing. He wouldn't make the younger male leave if he hadn't eaten breakfast, after all BREAKFAST WAS DA BEST.

Hand creeping across the table where it grabbed a fork, then proceeded to stab a nearby fried egg and plop it on Mercury's plate. "An empty stomach through morning classes is a horrible experience." he said.
