Jackie followed Garnet easily. Enough had happened in the last few days that she wasn't scared by much anymore. Nothing could surprised her after what'd happened in the alley. By now, she was positive that this person was a character. After all, she'd been on the ark with her, and openly talked about W. Were characters allowed to do that? "W? I don't think she said anything of importance... I just asked her some basic questions, things I was curious about and didn't know. I don't think it could help you find your friends or this dimension or whatever." Jackie gave a polite smile as if to show she wasn't all too sure what was happening in the first place. Assuming that was all, she turned to go back into the coffee shop. After all, she hadn't had an opportunity yet all morning to grab some of the Cuban beverage.

D kept his hands in his pockets as she walked calmly down the street. He didn't want to seem to be in a hurry, even though he really was. He pulled one hand out to preen it through his hair before replacing it in the fabric of his pants. This world seemed strange, but he couldn't put his finger on how just yet. Most things were sensible - you walked on sidewalks, you ate food, you breathed the air (which was noticeably not toxic). People weren't bleeding under their clothes. But his thoughts were interrupted as the dock came into view. With the Ark. And W inside, he knew. Keeping his pace relaxed, D strode over towards the docks while checking to see if anyone else was in view.

W had been working on a few things when something popped up on her screen that she wasn't expecting. A familiar figure from a distant memory, from all those years ago. No, it can't be... Not this soon...

She took in a sharp breath. It's been at least a century. Maybe? I can't remember. I haven't seen him or anyone from The Council in a very long time. They... They might not be happy with me. Glancing in a mirror (which was noticeably dusty), she frowned. Gosh, those crow's feet...

She hadn't slept well for a long time. Hesitating as the figure came up to the dock, she pressed a button, allowing the door to creak open. W didn't dare get up, nor face the other Council member yet. Let him have the pleasure.

Italy sighed miserably as he dragged his feet on the sidewalks of the town, not really knowing what to do. He had no idea where he was, and to him this place looked too real and depressing. Lightly moaning in sadness, he looked up and saw a coffee shop, deciding that he could go for a latte. He weakly pushed open the doors, and looked at the menu. His eyes caught off guard and to his suprise he saw Prussia, sitting on a table. Gasping loudly his eyes began to tear. "PRUSSIAAAHH!!!" He whined in relief that he saw him as he ran to the albino and sobbed, squeezing him as hard as he could. "I'm so glad you're here!!! Do you know where we are??" He asked him in his strong but lightly toned Italian accent, and looked at the male.

D drew his hand out of his jacket again and gently patted his butt-pocket to make sure his pistol hadn't fallen down any in his pants. The door had creaked open, just for him. D walked up to it and drew himself inside the dark, dusty, dim-lit dungeon. It couldn't be described as anything else, really. He let his eyes adjust after a moment and he saw W in a chair. He didn't say anything for a few seconds, and knew she didn't dare either. The Council was mad. He knew it. She knew it. It was an "I scream. You scream. The police come. It's awkward." kind of situation, at least to him. Finally, he spoke up, because duties were demanded to be done. "So, W. How are things in Yorkville going?" Not that he didn't know. He just wanted to ask her directly, to determine how she viewed it all.

Macavity soon made his way back to the apartment building, deciding he needed a change of wardrobe before he could approach the character that had caught his attention on the ark. Darker clothes, redder clothes, slicker clothes. That was the way it went. Plus, maybe he'd restock on smokes. He nimbly entered the apartment building and glanced around the lobby. A change of plans entered his mind and he stepped over to one of the chairs in the corner and sat down with a clear view of the doors.

"yeah, i guess it is pretty weird, but even if it is a coffee shop, it should at least ketchup to my standards." The skeleton paused to flash a cheesy wink, before resuming. "they're not that high, are they?" He stood up from his place in the booth, shoving his hands in his pockets. "checking the general store doesn't seem like a bad idea, so i guess i'll come with you. i've been here for about a month, so i guess i could have checked already, but that seemed like more work than necessary."

She knew when he walked in. Not only from the sound of his footsteps, but also from the cameras right in front of her. There he was, but he didn't go right into it like she expected. She put both hands on the desk before turning the chair. Truthfully, since the last time she was in the pocket, she had gotten more weary-looking. Exhausted.

"... Heh. As if you guys don't know already. There have been a couple of slip-ups, but I have a connection or two outside of this accursed ark. They take care of it. They remind them. I know you guys don't hear as much from me as you see over the cameras. It's making them mad, is it not...?"

Yes, W could remember her days in the pocket. In the beginning of The Council. The members, chosen anonymously, all gathered under one person. Not even The Council knows what they look like. All that she remembered were their reports against her in the beginning. Her second chances. They eventually stopped, but the fact D was here, so soon...

"Well, I guess you got me, then. I revealed myself not long ago, just like I was told. It would've been difficult to give out that news without speaking it to them, right...?"

Her face betrayed her nervousness slightly. Her legs were sore from sitting for so long without getting up much. Her skin was pale from staying inside. Her eyes hurt from staring at the screens. If they decided to do anything with her, she wouldn't be able to do anything. After all, she was still like a human, was she not?

Maxie || 45 || Pokemon
Coffee Shop > Streets || Sans

Hearing the skeleton's response, Maxie did his best to ignore it as he stood. "Well, the day's just getting older, is it not? I'll show you where it is, then."

With that, he turned and walked out, waiting for the skeleton to follow as they walked down the street. Maxie was aware how close the general store was to the center of town, which meant it was further away from the ocean than the coffee shop, which was closer to the cliffs heading down to the ocean (which, naturally, didn't apply to the public beach).

As they were walking, Maxie took in a breath before speaking. "... So. Which universe are you from?" He made a smile follow the sentence. He was almost certain that the guy was a character at this point, but the smile could account for either a joking one or a friendly one, depending on the context in which the statement was taken.

Prussia was quite startled by the sudden hug, but as soon as he realized that it was only Italy, he began to cackle, and an evil-looking smirk appeared on his face as he effortlessly shoved the Italian off. "Mein Gott Italy, you have so many questions, but it would be unawesome of me not to answer them." He responded in a narcissistic tone. Then, he lowered his voice, in order to prevent eavesdropping, of course.
"First off, you shall not call the awesome me Prussia. Here, my awesome name is Gilbert, and your name is Feliciano. Second, cease your unawesome crying, it's getting all over me! Lastly, and get ready for this awesome fact, we are in another dimension! Speaking of which, I'm surprised that my awesome brother West isn't here with you!" He explained to the wailing nation, still maintaining his smirk and arrogant tone while keeping his voice low, not wanting their true identities as countries to be revealed.

His dark eyes searched her demeanor Carefully while he leaning his body against the side of the ark and folded his arms. His voice was calm, as if they were having a casual conversation. It dawned on him that she looked down-right dreadful. She was dreary, dampened, and disheveled and probably dreaded having to talk with him.

"Connections outside the ark to take care of it..." he repeated, looking around the wooden dome they were in. The Council couldn't dismiss her behavior; they demanded compliance. "They're mad alright," he agreed. "Learn to execute strictness, W! The slip-ups are out of hand! The characters here receive no punishment for revealing their true forms when they are not human. Something bad can only result from it. And now," he paused for a second, meeting her sleep-deprived eyes, "I'm here to help protect them from exposure." D chewed down on his lip, waiting to hear what she'd say.

Winter kept laughing, watching Arya and Legolas. She was surprised when she felt Arya land on her lap, and she didn't have the time to remove her before she began to lick her face. "Stop, please." She tried to push the dachshund away, but she couldn't push too hard because she didn't want to hurt her. She finally managed to grab her and hold her away from her face. "You. You're horrible." She told the small dog, setting her on the ground with a chuckle. Arya huffed and settled down beside Winter's legs, closing her eyes.

Winter looked back to Legolas as he began to speak. She thought about the pool party, glancing at Arya for a moment. "Well, we could go to the coffee shop first, then go to the party. I could go for a coffee right now." She suggested, glancing up. She was still tired from having to wake up and go to the dock so early, and some caffeine would definitely help.

Legolas chuckled at the sight of the dog licking Winter's face and rolled his eyes. "Now you see how I feel!" He laughed at her as she pushed the dog off and onto the floor. He sighed and mumbled something about how a big dog would probably chew your face off, but put the thought in the back of his mind to avoid the thought of home. He looked over at the clock on the wall, and realizing he literally couldn't read it, he grumbled something incoherent and gave Winter a smile.

He thought for a moment after she spoke and nodded. "I can tell you're tired." He chuckled, leaning over to poke bed forehead. He stood up to go put the plate he had been holding in the kitchen, thinking about home the entire time. He just shook his head yet again and sighed, returning to her and holding out his hand to help her up - not that she needed any help, he was just trying to be polite - so they could head out. He wasn't sure if he wanted to go to the coffee shop, but he decided he would because she seemed a little tired.

Winter rolled her eyes, hearing him mumble something about big dogs chewing faces off. "Don't underestimate dachshunds, Legolas, they have really nasty bites. You should also see her digging, it's crazy how fast she is. They're low to the ground so they can catch scents easily, and so they're also better at digging. They have a large lung capacity, too, so they can stay underground for a long time. They also have webbed paws so they can shovel more dirt." She said, folding her arms. She'd done lots of research into the breed before she got Arya, and she could've gone on and on about dachshund facts, but she realized she was rambling, so she decided to stop. She didn't really think Legolas was interested anyways. "Hey, I just realized something! Dachshunds are the Dwarf of the dog breeds! They're short, good at digging, and can stay underground for a long time." She was quite amused at her discovery, but she soon remembered that maybe it wasn't best to tell Legolas about anything Middle-Earth related, since he could get homesick. She found herself cursing at herself under her breath. The last thing she wanted to do was make Legolas more upset.

She raised an eyebrow when Legolas said she was tired. "It's that obvious?" She asked with a sigh. When he held out his hand towards her, she gave him a polite smile and took his hand, forcing herself to stand up. "Let's go!" She said cheerfully, heading towards the door. Once outside, she locked the door, then glanced to Legolas. "If you want, we can take the stairs this time. I know you don't like the 'floating box thing', as you would call it."

W gritted her teeth as D spoke. Yes, it was true, but would that change her mind? No! She gripped the armrests of the office chair and shakily stood up, not taking her eyes off the other.

"Really? Then what?? We can't send them back now, even if we wanted to!" She paused for a moment before continuing. "When someone reminds them of someone watching them, when they think they can get in trouble for it, it helps, don't you think?" Of course he would disagree with her. When he spoke about helping, she didn't know whether to feel relieved or angry. "What?! How are you going to manage that? Go up to them and say 'Hey, I'm a member of The Council and you better get into line.' I've already told them about what happened to The Council members!!"

With that, she stopped, waiting for his response. I really wish I had actual time to talk to people right about now...

Legolas smiled and shook his head. "It still baffles me how that little dog could ever be fast. " he chuckled as she started telling him things about Arya. He shrugged lightly and reached down to scratch the dog's head. He looked up as she made the joke about dachshunds and dwarves being similar and he chuckled. Sure, it made him a little sad, but it took the edge of the feeling, which he was grateful for.

"We can take the elevator. I don't care." He laughed as she mentioned what he had called it earlier, shaking his head. "That's because it does float. How ever does it stay up?" He asks as he walked towards it, giving it a confused look as he stepped inside, staring warily at the interior of the elevator. "Humans here are rather odd. Although some are still as greedy and power-hungry as those at home." He instantly though of Aragorn, and instead of becoming sad, he smiled softly at the thought. He grinned and playfully put on arm around her shoulders. "You're not that bad, I promise. Although you do steal cheesecake, which is a start." He laughed, poking her forehead.

"If you don't believe she's fast, why don't you try chasing Arya up the stairs, then you'll see." Winter snapped playfully. She was happy to see that Legolas was fine with the dwarf joke, and let out a breath of relief.

Winter smiled softly at Legolas' questions about the elevator, finding it slightly funny how he knew so little about the modern world. 'Our roles would probably be reversed if we were in Middle Earth, though.' She reminded herself as she stepped into the elevator. "It's actually not floating. There's a very strong, metal rope attached to the top of the elevator." She told him, her green gaze moving to the Elf "And as for you thinking that humans are strange, humans probably think the same about Elves; you guys prance through the forest, wrestling giant spiders. I'd stay away from that shit." She shuddered at the thought of having to fight a giant spider. She already freaked out whenever she saw a normal sized one. Winter couldn't help but blush slightly as Legolas put an arm around her shoulders, and she looked away. "Pfft, cheesecake is amazing, it's worth stealing."

He listened with a sad and pouty expression as he sniffles here and there, trying to suck up his tears when the male told him to stop crying. He didn't understand why they must call themselves by their human names but he understood what the albino said. Then he stood in for a moment and then outbursts with a terrified scream and started to cry even more. "I DIDNT KNOW I THOUGHT HE WAS WITH YOU!! AND A DIMENSION SEEMS VERY FAR AWAY FROM HOME AND THE OTHERS AND NOW WERE STUCK HERE WITH NO WAY OUT AND NOW WERE ALL GONNA DIEE!!!!" He whined with such idiotic conclusions because he was scared of what was to happen as he sat in the nearest corner of the coffee shop and rocked himself like a coward while continuing to sob.
