So I just had a thought, please don't hate or be negative. It's just an idea, if it gets rejected, no biggy. o;

But what if, you had a low chance of obtaining lion meat by killing enemy lions.

Obtaining mutations in lions isn't an easy task and getting event items to increase chances isn't exactly cheap. Let's face it, not everyone always has gold beetles to spare for CRB's.

I'm not asking for a huge chance of obtaining, but a low or even a very low chance at obtaining a lion meat when an enemy lion or lioness attacks would be awesome.

Let me know your thoughts and whether or not you think it's a good idea.

I have to apologize, I am the biggest noob when it comes to muties on this game. I thought that lion meat would be a food source. I am so derp xD =^= So please ignore this.

I don't support.

One, of course, I think event items should stay event items for the most part. I know some of them have migrated into normal gameplay, like being able to get the Giant Tortoise from Whack A Snake, but none of the mutation-increasing ones have done that (to my knowledge). In an effort to keep mutations hard to get, I think we should keep it the way it is. Not that it makes it much easier, but yeah.

Also, my main reason is that we get no other drops from NPC fights like that. When we win against a buffalo, we don't get a carcass, you know? So why make a special exception for lions?

The reason I don't support is much like what GamingGal said.

This item is meant to be rare/event items. You can buy them this month without using GB.You can also get lion meat in the slot machine. Making any more ways to get them will make Muties too common.

It could be a rare drop. Not something you will always get but could get.

Totally agree with the people above me^^

If there's a lion meat drop when you kill an NPC (even if it's super rare) it still increases the chance of getting mutations by a lot for the community as a whole (ie, if we all have a 1% chance of getting lionmeat, that's still a lot of lion meats, since there are a LOT of players on this site who explore like crazy) If the value of lionmeat goes down, the value of mutations go down, which is terrible. Getting a mutation for the first time is such a huge accomplishment, since they're so rare.

I think your idea came from the right place, but I'm going to have to not support this. :(

Happy Mask: I think the issue is not so much Cannibalism, as it is the value of mutations going down, since I don't know any players on this site who would turn down a free lion-meat on "moral grounds" against cannibalism ;)

No support as I wish to keep this item rare for the sake of not overloading the population with mutations all year around.

It's also important to note that you do not 'kill' your enemy in explore. "Exhausted and close to death, the opponent uses their last ounce of strength to flee the battle, leaving you victorious!" is the victory message so it makes no sense to get meat off an enemy which is actually still alive.

And Elephants shoving their young in dung makes plenty of sense? XD But anyways, thanks for your thoughts.
