COVECLAN SIGN UP
Teritory

Deep in the heart of the Great Bear Rainforest on the northern coast of British Columbia, Canada, Coveclan makes their home in an old hollow tree. This hollow tree has stood as long as the clan can ever remember. It was once predicted, by a famous medicine cat, that the destiny of the clan is so intertwined within the very branches of this ancient tree that the prosperity of the clan would fail when the tree itself falls.

Bellow is an image of the camp lay out. The red circle is the leader’s den. The orange circle is the medicine cat’s den. The purple circle is the nursery den. The blue circle is the elder’s den. The yellow circle is the warrior’s den. The green circle is the apprentice den.

To the west of the camp lies the salt water cove that is directly connected to the ocean at its mouth, further towards the westward forest. Primarily wolves, bears, seals, sea birds and tide pool invertebrates inhabit this region, however, occasionally a variety of whales can be seen within the deeper portions of the cove with their calves in the birthing season. Once upon a time a mischievous apprentice even reported a shark in the depths of the cove but it was never verified. To this day mothers and mentors alike use the threats of sharks to keep young cats from straying too far in the water. To the north of the cove the salt water meets fresh water in a cold water stream.

From the north west to the east of the camp runs a long cold water stream. Towards the west it is deep and perilous but towards the east it is shallow and narrow. During the spring and fall different varieties of salmon and trout spawn and run in this stream. During the summer the warmer eastern section of the river which connects to a shallow warm beaver pond bears pike and muskalunge fish as well as bass, sunfish and minnows.

To the east of the camp lies a shallow beaver pond inhabited by territorial family of beavers. This is an excellent place to fish but it is a forbidden place for apprentices as an angry beaver is not an opponent an unexperianced cat should face alone.

Finally to the south of the camp is the heart of the Great Bear Rainforest. This pristine old growth northern temperate rainforest is both dark and terrifying while also being beautiful and serene. It is a place where most creatures would get lost but it is a place all cats of this clan learn to know better than their own tails even before their warrior ceremonies. Many dangers live here but also many amazing, beautiful and mysterious creatures.

(Whispers...I hope sign ups are still open cause I'm posting.)

Name: Nightkit
Reason for name:
Her pitch black fur and love for the night...

Age: (in moons)
2 Moons
Sex:
Female

Sexual orientation: (all orientations are accepted)
Heterosexual
Rank: (please put desired rank and a backup rank): Kit ;)
Appearance: (an image is fine)
(An agile female Maine Coon mix, pitch black with a gray-blue fur collar and electric dark blue eyes.)
Personality:
Her personality is yet to be fully developed but some base characteristics can be noted….sharp as a tack, stubborn, curious and a tough little furball. Also has a good dose of luck...which is probably the only thing that has kept her alive despite her curiosity and adventurous spirit.

History:
Nightkit was born a kittypet, the runt of the litter of a barn cat. Despite this the little thing survived, though that was more pure luck then caution. The little one showed great affection for the humans and great curiosity about their actions...which led to the exploration of their round footed-stinking pets. (Car) Unfortunately Nightkit was trapped inside during one of these adventures, a horrifying experience indeed. The young little kit escaped as soon as she could terrified by the noise the thing made...but ended up far from home with nothing to eat. (Will start at the escape to make things clear.)

Name:Harriermask
Reason for name:His face resembles that of a Harrier!
Age: (in moons)48 Moons
Sex:Male
Sexual orientation: (all orientations are accepted): Likes dem females
Rank: (please put desired rank and a backup rank) Senior Warrior or Warrior
Appearance: (an image is fine)
(A black and gray striped tom cat with faded green eyes and the face of a Harrier.)
Personality: Harriermask is a rascal of all shapes and forms and will usually chase and mate with any female willing. He is often playful with females of all ages while uptight around other males and will clearly establish boundary lines. In battle the male becomes terrifying, not only because of his rather scary facial features but also because of his complete focus while fighting.

History:(Don’t know if this is allowed but I want him to come in as a rogue, if not I can change his history.) Born feral and raised by a feral mother it was kill or be killed, even with fellow siblings it was a competition, for the best females, for the best territory, for the best life. There was no ‘fair’ fighting, no mercy. Unfortunately Harriermask made a mistake...he did not kill his brother during a fight, instead offering mercy, the sibling attacked him scoring a nasty scar across Harriermask muzzle and evicting him from his chosen territory. Now the male is wandering...and he has stumbled into unknown lands not realizing that it is clan territory and not the territory of a feral male he could challenge.

(Must be noted that neither of these pictures are my own.)

@Astral; Yes applications are still open but there are a few issues with your applications. Don't worry they aren't anything big. For Nightkit - Coveclan is based in the Great Bear Rainforest and the only human contact they have is through the railroad and the old logging roads (no normal cars would be using these roads) so Nightkit would need to make her way to Coveclan by train or some other means, a normal civilian or farmer wouldn't stop their car anywhere near the clan. Also, she will need to be adopted IC since she is still a kit... though... I don't forsee this being an issue. She's just adorable! For Owlmask - Unfortunately the name prefix name Owl is already taken as the medicine cat apprentice will be called: Owlface when she is older. (There will also be a Spottedowl). We have a rule that no two cats may have the same prefix, to avoid confusion. As for being a rouge, he is more than welcome to start off as a rouge. :) Littlestar might give him a hard time at first though, lol, Littlestar's so... strict. I look forward to seeing what shenanigans he gets into!

I honestly have no idea what an IC is....though I bet Nightkit can defiantly convince someone with her cuteness to adopt her. I have no idea how Echo is in integrated in the story.....I am confused...but on the note of making the story realistic...would it be plausible that the farmers son is a logger? And that is the truck she hopped into while he was visiting his dad? Help me! ;)

As for Owlmask could his name instead be Barnowl? I'm not sure if the second part of the name has to be a verb or not but if so his odd name could be attributed to being a rouge...you can understand why I want to keep the word owl in his name lol. Or I guess if that does not work he could pass for a Heartmask...that is if no one has the prefix heart yet.

Echo followed the train tracks into the area XD
I'm not entirely sure a 3 month old kitten could really hitch hike on a truck.- but that's up to Tale

IC just means "in character" so rather than you plotting something it happens naturally during the course of the RP. :)

That's a little more plausible but generally logging operations like the ones in the remote corners of Canada all all-season things. People don't go home at the end of the day, they stay in a camp on site and don't return to their home until the logging season is done, sometimes not even then - instead they go to the next site. For the sake of a RP, though, I would allow something like that, or perhaps the farmer's son was going to the forest to start a season there and the poor little kitten got dragged along for the terrifying ride.

Also I think what Skitty was offering was for Echo to find Nightkit on the edge of the forest and take her to Coveclan.

Again the issue with the name Barnowl is that the cats of Coveclan wouldn't come into contact with barns or barn owls (barn owls live in open forests and prairies - not rainforests), so that word would be strange to them and to name a warrior after something you don't know about is... a little unrealistic. Furthermore to have 3 owl-named cats in one clan? I'm not fond of the idea BUT that being said I can completely understand wanting to keep the name owl and I will let you use Barnowl (or say... screechowl, grayowl, or the like) if you're really sold on it but can I give you a suggestion for another bird name? Harriermask or Harrier-something? The Harrier (a marsh bird) also has a face disk like an owl, but isn't an owl.

Image of a Harrier, not my picture

See, Skitty's suggestion would work. :) Get dropped off at, say, a camp ground, and meet up with a rouge (Echo) there that takes Nightkit to the clan.

Cool, obviously you'll have to work the details out about how Night and Echo met and their little journey together with Skitty but you're well on your way so I'll accept both of them. :) I'm off to bed now and I may not be around tomorrow (kind of a busy day). I may be on mobile so I might post here but nothing substantial.

Ohhh and just so your not worried about how realistic it is...I did have a very young kitten around 2 to 3 mouths old somehow found his way into my car....at first we had no idea until we spotted him a few months later near my grandmothers elderly home.
