COVECLAN SIGN UP
Teritory

Deep in the heart of the Great Bear Rainforest on the northern coast of British Columbia, Canada, Coveclan makes their home in an old hollow tree. This hollow tree has stood as long as the clan can ever remember. It was once predicted, by a famous medicine cat, that the destiny of the clan is so intertwined within the very branches of this ancient tree that the prosperity of the clan would fail when the tree itself falls.

Bellow is an image of the camp lay out. The red circle is the leader’s den. The orange circle is the medicine cat’s den. The purple circle is the nursery den. The blue circle is the elder’s den. The yellow circle is the warrior’s den. The green circle is the apprentice den.

To the west of the camp lies the salt water cove that is directly connected to the ocean at its mouth, further towards the westward forest. Primarily wolves, bears, seals, sea birds and tide pool invertebrates inhabit this region, however, occasionally a variety of whales can be seen within the deeper portions of the cove with their calves in the birthing season. Once upon a time a mischievous apprentice even reported a shark in the depths of the cove but it was never verified. To this day mothers and mentors alike use the threats of sharks to keep young cats from straying too far in the water. To the north of the cove the salt water meets fresh water in a cold water stream.

From the north west to the east of the camp runs a long cold water stream. Towards the west it is deep and perilous but towards the east it is shallow and narrow. During the spring and fall different varieties of salmon and trout spawn and run in this stream. During the summer the warmer eastern section of the river which connects to a shallow warm beaver pond bears pike and muskalunge fish as well as bass, sunfish and minnows.

To the east of the camp lies a shallow beaver pond inhabited by territorial family of beavers. This is an excellent place to fish but it is a forbidden place for apprentices as an angry beaver is not an opponent an unexperianced cat should face alone.

Finally to the south of the camp is the heart of the Great Bear Rainforest. This pristine old growth northern temperate rainforest is both dark and terrifying while also being beautiful and serene. It is a place where most creatures would get lost but it is a place all cats of this clan learn to know better than their own tails even before their warrior ceremonies. Many dangers live here but also many amazing, beautiful and mysterious creatures.

I would love to see Harrier challenege Littlestar because he's so tiny only to then be faced with two of the largest cats he's ever seen. xD Imagine the look on his face!

I posted it a little while ago. Rowanflame won though I did have a few issues with his deputy challenge section. It's not a lot but check page... 11? 12? For my comments. :)

xD Yeah, same! :D I can imagine it! cx lmfao

Mkay, thanks! Honestly, I am delighted to know Rowan was chosen, mostly because I can't see that particular OC as anything else lmao - I will, thanks!

It was a tough choice. I really liked them both. They are both amazing characters and both well written. I'm happy to have Rowanflame helping Littlestar and Beartuft training Spottedpaw (I have big plans for him in the future >:) )

After reading your comment, I have a few of my own! :D
First of all, thank you, I appreciate your "suggestions", if that is the right word for them. (my brain is dead at the moment cx).
Second of all, I was having a bit of trouble deciding which animal I should make come in. At first, I thought of badgers, but really, they aren't the biggest and my plan for Rowan didn't include him fighting a badger, if that makes sense xD Then I thought of coyotes and although it seems like a good idea now, it didn't at the time I made the story, so I did end up replacing it with a mountain lion. Honestly, looking back, I don't know why a picked a mountain lion, considering they are red on the prey/predator list.. :I That much confuses me. I confuse myself sometimes CX - I will change it, probably to coyotes instead! lmao
Thanks again! :D

EDIT: Yes, I agree! :D Also, I just remembered at the mention of Spottedpaw, I was wondering if I could post a RP reply on the thread, even though her form isn't finished... For one, I love Sky and she's loved by me lmao and also, she's also been "mentioned" by Spottedpaw, and I have the hunger for mischeif with the two now, considering the small plotting we did! :)

Lol, no worries. Like I said it wasn't really a big change. Coyotes would work well. One cat to kill a coyote is unlikely but not as impossible as killing a mountain lion therefore he'd still be very impressive and would have proved himself worthy of his new title.

Mhm, great! :D -facedesk- I still feel stupid for even putting mountain lion, though I am pretty certain I finished that part late on some night, so that makes sense, a bit.

But, am I allowed to post with Skypaw on the RP thread, even though she isn't created yet? Again, I continue to feel the desire for them to get into some mischief (Spottedpaw + Skypaw)... -rubs hands together- c:

Lol that's okay Cat, we all do that sometimes. And of course. Go ahead and post with Skypaw, I've seen enough of your characters and of her to know she'll be okay. I've already posted with Spottedpaw and he's looking for someone to go exploring with :)

Since I'm a little late, I will create my sign ups now, though I won't begin posting until given the official okay. I figure this way if I happen to get off before allowed to begin, I won't have to delay starting even more by not having characters. Also, the others can get an idea of my characters and how I play.

Name: Tawnyfeather
Reason for name: Sandy colored pelt
Age: 36 moons
Sex: Female
Sexual orientation: Heterosexual
Rank: Queen // Warrior
Appearance:
With soft fur and a sleek frame, Tawnyfeather is a relatively small she cat, shorter than what would be considered the average for a cat of her age. She has thin legs and small paws, as well as a delicate frame that gives her easy access to cramped spaces. Her size allows her to move quickly and creep about quietly. The queen's fur is, as her name suggests, a pale tawny in color, and she has flame point markings on her face, paws, and tail, giving her a more burnt orange hue. er eyes are a soft blue. The she cat has curved and large ears, as well as a long and plumy tail.
Sand.jpg
Personality:

With the disposition of an experienced mother, Tawnyfeather is perhaps one of the kindest she cats you'd ever meet. Her paws are nearly always open for helping another in need, and she has no problem in carrying out tasks to help those close to her out. She's a very selfless she cat who tends to put others before herself, which can be a weakness, especially in battle. At times, she may even accidentally neglect herself by worrying excessively about others, and her motherly personality can become quite overbearing.

Tawnyfeather is easy to get along with so long as you don't post her, or her friends or family, any threat. She's as overprotective as she is over-dramatic and would never let anyone or anything lay a single claw on her kits. In an upset mood, this she cat can be a real force to reckon with, and it's best if you just don't try to provoke or upset her in any way.

Patience is truly a virtue Tawnyfeather possesses, especially when it comes to teaching someone something new. No matter how many tries it takes, she's always willing to wait until it turns out right. In this way she is a good mentor, but may be too soft for an apprentice, which is most probably the reason she has never had an apprentice herself.
History:

Tawnykit was born the only child of her doting mother and protective father. They were a happy family, and Tawnykit spent her time with her den-mates, frolicking and wreaking havoc in camp. As an apprentice, she was mentored by a kind she can named Redwillow who she grew very close to and thought of as an older sister. She enjoyed training with the elder she cat and often looked up to her, aspiring to be like her.

When she became a warrior, Tawnyfeather became smitten with a rogue outside of the clan. A few moons later she kitted a litter of three, and when the clan asked who the father was, she refused to tell. Her kits would not be branded impure by a mistake she had made and forced upon them. Her three little bundles were her new pride and joy, and were named Sealkit, Mudkit, and Littlekit. The first two were strong, tough kits, but the third... he was different. Smaller and weaker, and he didn't often interact with his siblings. The medicine cat said he wasn't strong. He wouldn't make him, but she would have none of that talk. He would live, and he had to. She would help him, make him strong. With her careful guidance, he would grow into her strong little warrior. She watched all three of her kits grow proudly, and when they were apprenticed she couldn't have been happier.

Just moons ago, Tawnyfeather had convinced herself she was in love with a clan tom by the name of Brackenwing. She never thought it would turn into anything serious, as he didn't seem like the type to settle down, but Tawnyfeather soon found herself expecting kits. After announcing it to the tom, she was distraught by his reaction, and he denied even the possibility that they were his. Refusing to be brought down, Tawnyfeather has vowed to give her kits a proper and happy life without a father. Brackenwing died due to greencough.

Name: Petalbreeze
Reason for name: Parents thought a white spot on her left side looked like a flower petal
Age: 21 moons
Sex: Female
Sexual orientation: Heterosexual
Rank: Warrior
Appearance:
Cat-631987.jpg
Personality:

If there was one word to describe Petalbreeze best, it would be shy. Incredibly shy to the point where if a stranger approaches her, she may begin to shake violently from nervousness. Social situations aren't her strong point, and she has a lot of trouble keeping the conversation going with a cat who she is not well acquainted with. In fact, she'd probably make up some excuse to get her tail out of there and flee into the territory to hide for a while before returning.

To those who know her a bit better, Petalbreeze is a delightful, spunky she cat with a bright mind about her. She's very knowledgeable about the clan and its history, though still enjoys visiting the elder's den for more stories. The she cat takes her training very seriously and does everything she can to improve, though this does not make her the best potential warrior there is.
History:

Petalkit was the younger of two kits, the elder being a tom named Squirrelkit. She loved her brother fiercely, and for a while he was one of the only ones she would talk to. At times she became clingy and would annoy her brother, but Squirrelkit always remained the protective older sibling, even if only by a few minutes. As apprentices, she was nervous without her brother around for a friend and became much more quieter. He managed to befriend a few other apprentices, but rarely was the first one to instigate conversation.

Name: Onyxfall
Reason for name: Dark colored fur
Age: 53 moons
Sex: Tom
Sexual orientation: Heterosexual
Rank: Senior warrior
Appearance:
LL
Personality:

Experienced and tough, Onyxfall finds it hard to be fazed any more by the happenings in the clan. He's been through a lot with his clan, and considers them to be family. He would like to be called a great and noble warrior, one of the most esteemed there has ever been, but that would not be true. He's an average tom whose loyal to his clan above all, but has never done anything exceptional to be worthy of such titles. Onyxfall is not the type of tom who will screw around and prefers to get his tasks done as quickly and effectively as possible without wasting time.

Onyxfall tends to be a bit of a recluse and doesn't speak much unless spoken to. He keeps a watchful eye on the younger members of the clan and may offer a word of advice from time to time, but other than that doesn't speak often.
History:

Onyxkit was born in a large litter of four, all tom kits. His brother Fogkit was clearly favored above the others, and so he was often teased by his other three siblings. Onyxkit joined in on the teasing, as Fogkit seemed to think he was better than his brothers. In four moons, the three tormentors would feel immensely guilty for teasing him when Fogkit would be plucked by a bald eagle and carried away forever.

Onyxpaw and his siblings were chaotic apprentices who caused their mentors much grief. Onyxpaw in particular was a trouble maker and was often stuck doing unfavorable chores due to his mouthy behavior. As he aged, he matured out of this type of behavior and became a young yet respectable warrior who would eventually be admired by some in the clan.

Name: Squirrelclaw
Reason for name: His fur is very bushy (most notably his tail) like squirrel's fur, and his mother thought his gray pelt resembled a gray squirrel
Age: 21 moons
Sex: Tom
Sexual orientation: Heterosexual
Rank: Warrior
Appearance:
images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQM_kQLhUev7sF73TIzYHB
Personality:

Arrogant, conceited, bigoted, narcissistic-- whatever word you want to use, Squirrelclaw is about as egotistical as they come. Luckily for the clan, he doesn't often brag, but his thoughts are often full of harsh and critical comments. While he is a skilled fighter, he is not the best, but his competitive spirit gets the best of him and he tends to get prideful about his abilities. Squirrelclaw also believes he's a very handsome tom that many she cats pad after, and so will often flirt with them, mostly for his own amusement.

A few better aspects of Squirrelclaw include his sympathy shown towards others. In a time of need, he can be a very down-to-earth tom with a shoulder for others to lean on should they need a confidante to confide in. To his friends, he's playful and a tad bit immature, not quite ready to settle down in life yet. As long as you can ignore his arrogance, he's not so bad a cat and can be great fun to be around.
History:

Squirrelkit was born alongside his sister, Petalkit, and the two were the best of friends throughout their kithoods. They were an inseparable pair, rarely seen apart. As apprentices, they were still close, but training forced them to see less and less of each other and both made friends in the other apprentices.

I'm sorry Trumpet, the vitiligo cat picture you've provided is already in use for another cat.

Other than that the 4 of them are accepted. :)

I have a proposal for you... Sealsea, Mudmask and Littlestar were looking for an adopted mother but if the others are okay with a slight plot change I'd be interested in proposing that Tawnyfeather be their biological mother. Tawnyfeather is a little young for the part and their father is a rouge not a clan cat but these are small details; otherwise I think she may be ideal for the part. If you were interested in joining our plot PM me and I can let you in on the details. :) If you're not interested I understand. Just remember if she's pregnant and going to have kits you'll have to find people to adopt the kits.

Oh that's a cool looking cat. :) I'll update his info on the who's who.

Mudmask, Sealstar; be aware we might get a plot change! Trumpet's Tawnyfeather may be the brother's new biological mother. I thought if she was still around it would add to drama that we've got going on. :D Also can you guys make sure your boys age match up with Littlestar? Trumpet said they were all different xD That doesn't work if they're all litter-mates.

Mkay, yeah! Ooh, if she was still around this RP would be filled with drama! -rubs hands together and snickers- >:D
I am a drama person, if ya'll can't tell- it's my favorite thing, RP wise.
I already had Muddy's age as 17 moons, which is how old Littlestar is, if I am correct. So..

Current Drama I can count/or that I know of:
((I am OCD, as Tale and Rin both know I think, so I really wanted to make a list I can add to and stuff (will probably put one of these in our plotting thread too, Tale+Rin))
~ Littlestar - Sealsea - Mudmask = Littermates, but Seal and Mud aren't too fond of Little
~ Littlestar - Sealsea - Mudmask - Tawnyfeather = Tawny is their mother and they aren't too fond of her either..? (don't know bout that one much)
~ Spottedpaw - Skypaw = Too little young rascals looking to cause a bit of trouble with their mischievous and adventurous selves ;)
