How about you can look at a members profile and there's a button that says something like 'trade'. Then you can click it and look at the items they've put up for 'allowed to trade' like buffalo scrotums or decors etc. The person you want to trade has put up stuff and then you can offer whatever for it. Or you can make a wishlist so that the item for trade is for wishlist items only.

You get the idea. It's a cool way of trading that I've seen on other sites too. It's pretty useful. And you can view the other users items as well as lions. Then you can offer for them. Idk. Just an idea.
