Ok so just out of curiosity I did some research to see if there was any sort of colorful autumn-y background that occurred in Africa that could be drawn up as a fun Halloween or November background and I had some success. So, in very select areas of Northern Africa (specifically Morocco, Algeria, and Tunisia) there are 'Mediterranean Conifer and Mixed Forest' ecoregions. Although primarily conifer, they are home to a lot of deciduous oaks and other sorts of broad-leafed trees, and beings as it is a temperate climate, the deciduous ones lose their leaves in the fall (more info on the climate specifics here). Now, I really tried but I could not get a straight answer as to if the trees change color at all, even slightly. Upon doing some searching I found some pictures of the same ecoregion during fall (Here), but it is in Italy rather then the African continent. Even still, it could be interesting to have some neutral or vaguely red/yellow-toned trees in a mountainous forest background.

Another, more failsafe idea would be the same climate during the summer, which looks like this. An interesting little forest background that the Northern-sent shamans from the November event could bestow. :P
