A somewhat frightening grin spread across his face at the sound of meat squishing against the floor, the bag seeping with blood. Had the carpet not already been red, it probably would have stained. He kneeled down, pulling the bag open and glancing in. That new, fresh, glorious scent wafted even more so from the open space, eyes gleaming excitedly. "Ghoul," he breathed, licking his lips. His Kakugan crossed back over his eyes, staying now as he dipped a finger into the gore-ish mass and brought it to his mouth, relishing in the taste. Other ghouls found cannibalism disgusting and irrational, but personally, he looked on it as a pastime. Humans did it as well, eating for fun. Just under different circumstances.

He lifted his head when the girl, who had so kindly brought him a snack, announced that she was taking her leave. His lips curled into a small frown, slightly stained with blood. "Now, now," he said with a soft tut. "Won't you join me? I have coffee if this--" he gestured to the bag stuffed with flesh, "--bothers you."

Expression contorting in disgust at the very sight of the girl's utter affection toward such a beast, Kuroko turned away. He gave one quick glance back when he noticed her dismissive wave, understanding it as a request for coffee rather than a proper meal, which was admittedly disappointing. Once you tasted the flesh of another ghoul, there was no stopping the urge to eat more, and he couldn't help but want others to experience the same sensation. "Suit yourself," he mused with a nonchalant shrug.

He moved to brew a mug of coffee, though not before setting a large serving plate on the table and the bag on top of that. He didn't want to get the table cloth bloodied, after all. He glanced up at Hitomi when she spoke, brows raising just a tad in interest. "Not here," he answered. "Though I've heard of some commotion in the 24th Ward. Supposedly sightings of Doves crawling around the underground. Don't ask me why, though..." He paused briefly, grabbing a mug and pouring a cup of fresh black coffee. "Sugar or no?"

Setting down the sugar he'd been holding up just in case, Kuro set the mug on the table, watching his guest patiently. She seemed somewhat perturbed by the contrast between his shop and himself, which amused him greatly. It was always interesting to know how people saw him, and she obviously didn't think any of this was at all something he might sell. "It belonged to my parents," he explained simply, pulling back a chair and sitting comfortably in his seat. He rummaged through the bag, finally pulling back a bloodied hand and admiring an entirely black eye, save for the blood red iris. Killed at just the right time... he thought with a smile.

He paused his small enjoyment at the question, shaking his head. "They haven't been patrolling as much here. Or any wards other than the middle of Tokyo and the underground. I suppose they have some priorities that I don't understand." He ended his explanation with a shrug, as if to say 'it's not as though I'm affected by it anyway, so why should I care?' Tossing the visual organ back and forth between his hands, only stopping to give one dangerous glare toward the beast who had barked for absolutely no reason, Kuroko hummed quietly to himself. "Help with what?"
