Would other people be able to see the comments or just the user? Not really sure on that answer. I like this more if other people can't see the message.
Also there should be a button to disable this function for people who don't want it.
I personally really like it because I've seen a lot of pretty lionesses or customizations that I want to compliment the owner on (or they're like my king's daughter/grandchild and I think that's neat that someone really cared about them) but I feel like PMs are a bit personal and I feel like I should say more in a message than a quick little blurb.

Exactly, I always stalk my kings babes, and I always want to comment on them but a pm is a bit much just to say "Oh he made such a cute babe"

Yes I agree it would be better if the user could turn it off and on. Also I feel like others shouldn't be able to see it because it would be like a pm, just smaller and more convenient.

No support. It will only end up being a huge problem for the mods. Some users will end up leaving hateful comments, feelings will get hurt, etc.

I have never once ran into a hateful person on Lioden, perhaps I'm just lucky but I think this should at least be given a chance. If it becomes a problem then it can be taken down, there can even be a "report" button on each comment, if the comment is rude they can report it.

Also, this is just like a pm, just smaller and more convenient, less personal. Someone can just as easily send you a rude hateful message through pm as they can on this.

Usually if someone like my den page or any photos I have on it they message me and we end up talking for awhile about it..

So I'm kinda split on this, like it seems cool, but really someone could just message me.

Well you can disable it and then people will still message you, or even with it enabled they still might c: or you can even message them back in reply to their comment. I don't message a lot of people whose den I go to even if I want to compliment them on something, I would comment on a lot of peoples dens though so this might open up a little door to have more conversations with more people ^-^

We thought about adding this suggestion _BUT_

there's an issue of needing extra moderation JUST for that area of the game. Somebody can spam you, troll you, use nasty words, sure we can moderate that but at this stage we have almost 100k accounts and it will be very very hard to keep up with moderating comments as well as our usual stuff D:

There might just be a lot of harassment, calling out, phishing links, virus links etc

We can do just "LIKES" like on tumblr or something, but I definitely need more opinion of you guys on the situation

Maybe on the "Like" part, there can be some kind of restriction, so if a person is spamming you & "liking" and "unliking" multiple times in a row, you won't get so many notifications?

I thinking max once a day would help, because then you wouldn't have the issue of someone getting upset about spamming, if you include having a notification show up in their inbox or den. They could also possibly turn off the notifications/even the liking system all together if you wanted to go that way.

But I think it would be cool to go to dens and be able to like it ^-^ Share the lioden love<3

Sorry to necro this -- I was just about to mention something like this and found that it had already been said! :D

This is very similar to an idea regarding lion comments, and my view on this is the same as well: definite support if it can't be used to spam/harass. :]

Maybe we could call these, Den Blessings?

Along with being manually-disable-able, I would suggest that the "Leave a Blessing?" box be both disabled for people who you've blocked, of course, and that the text cannot be entered manually -- it must be chosen from a pre-selected number of "standard" greetings/well-wishings for your friends or friendly Lioden neighbors. (So that nobody can spam mean/hateful things at you or people asking to buy lions or anything like that. Lioden is a peaceful, nice place! Only nice words are wanted to be expressed to our fellow players, right?)

When one would choose, "Leave a Blessing?", a dropdown box would appear with multiple options -- obviously this would need some work from other people/admins and other players' input on what they want to see added, but my suggestions are:

-- "Your lions are beautiful!"
-- "Your den CSS looks great!"
-- "Your art is amazing!"
-- "I love your king!"
-- "You're a great person!"
-- "Thanks!" (I'm iffy about these last two because I know they could be interpreted sarcastically...)

-- "Hang in there, I care about you!" (Or something else...motivational? I don't know...maybe that's too intimate I'm not sure.)
-- "I hope you feel better soon!"
-- "Have a great day!"

Maybe season/holiday-specific ones? (Only usable during that calendar timeframe, that is.)

-- "Happy Valentine's Day!"
-- "Happy St. Patrick's Day!"

-- "Happy Thanksgiving!" (I'm American and I know a lot of Lioden is not so I don't know if this would be relevant to add.)

Maybe come back in 00:00?"

I'm a big fan of commenting, either open or like #87305 said, with premade messages, very cute :) as long as the notifications have an on/off button in case it gets too much (or in case someone spams you, even though it's once a day)

If there's a comment box on the den page itself (instead of a seperate page) then I'd like it to either be below the description, or have a way of adding it whenever you want in your description. So it doesn't look out of place!


I'm not a fan of the likes. Liking someone's den would be included in the above comment feature, and an actual like counter just seems unnecessary to me and might stir up some sort of contest, people begging for likes, people adding more worth to the likes than they really have, etc.
