Kailak walked along the brush, Celestial snowfall followed him closely. He kept his ears pricked and and kept and eye open for any danger. Kailak noted his every move, seeing if he was fit to be a king. He spotted a river in the distance, and decided they both deserved a break.
"Hey Celest, Over here"
He said nodding to the river.
"Thirsty?"
Celest nodded and they both trotted to the river.

Mac gave a loud call to his pride, his lionesses hearing his call abandon the hunt and race to his side. A cub racing after the females tumbles down the slope and lands on her foster father , Mac. The lion jumped surprised and turned to see zawati as she huffed and sat up. Sabira cuffs the cub over the ear and growls a warning.

Kailak hears the call in the distance and stops, Celest froze by him, and they both crouch below the grass, eyeing the river. Kailak sniffed the air, And realized the river was slightly out of his usually patrolled territory. He growled in frustration, Knowing that his pride was to far away to call.
"Should we risk it?"
Celest said with tense voice. Kailak looked at Celest, And Idea coming to mind.
"What do you think we should do?"
He said, Seeing how good Celest's leadership skills are
"Well... We are greatly out numbered, And its not to terribly hot.. We could go back and see if the stream is dried out. Hopefully its not"
Kailak nodded. And slowly got up. He glanced at the river and the lions in the distance.

Mac looked up and noticed two male lions on the other side of the river, the lion gave a friendly roar and stretched. Mshindi and the others glanced at far side of the river , they went to the zawatis side and layed down. Jiona grabbed the young cub and started to groom her, zawati squirmed trying to get away but failed. Zawati cried out to Mshindi " Mom she's killing meee!" The said lioness replied to the cub scoffing " no she's not and you need a bath anyway".

Kailak pricked his ears as he heard the friendly roar, And watched as the lions laid relaxed by the river. Celest relaxed by him, But Kailak was still a little unsure. He looked to Celest, This was Celest's patrol after all. Kailak flicked his tail, signaling Celest leadership. Celest looked at him, And took a small step forward and Kailak followed.
"Remember the choices you make will judge your future"
He said lightly. Celest nodded and kept walking.
"Every Pride needs allies, If we decide not to trust anyone, Where would we be in the future?"
Kailak looked down and smiled.
"The reason I picked you, Wise as always"
Celest puffed out his chest in pride, Obviously loving the complement. But with him being a little to proud, He wasn't watching where he was going and he tripped on a loose root. He stumbled down to the river side, Almost falling in. Kailak couldn't help himself, And let out a small laugh. And then He looked across the river, giving a Nodding of greeting.

Mac's eyes followed the two lions watching as they spoke to each other, then the first lion tripped and rolled down the slope and fell into the river. The second male trotted down and gave a friendly nod and started to cross the river. Mac yelled to the lions " Hello there I'm Mac and this my pride what brings you here !?". Subira scoffed at Mac's greeting and rolled her eyes knowing that they will probably be here all day. Zawati on the other paw was excited to meet these strange lions , mshindi was slightly worried about the newcomers but knew Mac would protect them. Jiona and zuri chuckled watching their king act like a cub.

Celest quickly got up and followed Kailak.
"Greetings Mac, My name is Kailak, And this is Celestial Snowfall. We mean to harm, only to relax and take a drink"
Celest dipped his head awkwardly in a late greeting. Kailak looked over at him. He may be wise, But he is still clumsy.

Mac padded to the lions followed by the girls " Welcome to my pride lands Celestial and Kailak these are my lionesses Subira, Jiona, Zuri, Mshindi, and Zawati. Come and drink were all friends here, so what brings join to this side of the river ?". Jiona sat down by the males with Zawati in between her paws. Zuri was still laughing from when Celestial fell down the slope and Subira was cautious , she didn't know about the newcomers but was willing to give them a chance.

Kailak took a sip of the water and glanced back up.
" We were just patrolling our territory, And decided to stop for a drink"
Celest looked Zuri with an embarrassed glare and went to take a sip. Kailak heard some rustling in the distance behind him, And he turned. He saw 2 older cubs run from the bushes, And a ginger lioness following close behind. He stiffened a little as they ran down the hill towards him. The ginger lioness spotted the other lions and instantly stopped, Getting the cubs to stop too. She stood in front of them protectively. Kailak nodded towards the river, and the lioness and cubs made there way to him cautiously.
"Ginger..? What are you doing down here?"
Kailak said confused.
"The cubs picked up your sent and insisted on following you... But I see you have made some Friends?"
Ginger said, flicking her tail towards Mac and his pride.

Startled, Mac glances at the cubs and lioness " oh hello I'm Mac this is Subira,Jiona,Zuri,Mshindi,and Zawati, you must be from kailaks pride". Zawati slips away from Jiona and walks up to the older cubs. " Hi I'm Zawati , is that your mom ? Who's your dad ? Can you swim ?". Zawati starts to rant off random questions without giving the cubs a chance to awnser. Zuri flicks her tail in celestial's face tickleing his nose while Subira asks " Ginger is it ? I'm Subira I hope you don't mind but our king is a bit of a Numbskull but he is kind so don't worry about your cubs. The worst I've seen him do is frolic with cubs while out exploring".

Celests backed up startled, And shook his mane, Shaking away the tickled feeling. Ginger Eyes Zawati carefully while she reply's to Subira.
"Ah Okay.. "
She looked away from her cubs and whispered under her breath
"Between you and me Kailaks a numbscull too"
Kailak instantly turned around
"Hey! I heard that!"
He turned around to look at the cubs, Who were trying to answer Zawati's questions. Kailak walked behind them, and gave a small nod to Zawati.
"Yes ginger is there mother"
He puffed out his chest
"And i'm the father"

Zawati looked up at kailak and said " I guessed that all ready cause they looks like you". Zawati then asked the cubs if they wanted to race and walked to the other side of Subira. Jiona grinned at celest and batted at his tail like a little cub. Subira, Mshindi, and Zuri all walked up to ginger and started a conversation. Mac smiled at kailak and said " those cubs are going grow up strong I can tell". Mshindi picked up her head and smelt the air , then all of a sudden a hare raced down the river side with a male cub chasing it.

Kaliak was about to reply, But he stopped and watched the hare run from the cub. The orange cub sitting by Kaliak got up and raced after the hare, closely following the male cub.
"H-hey! Swirls!"
He said calling after the cub, Ginger got up and was about to chase after Swirls, But kaliak stopped her, Not wanting to cross to far into Macs territory.

The first cub skidded to a stop in front of Mac the rest of the cubs falling into him. Mac growled " Moyo watch were your going cub!". Mac then cuffed the cub on the head and turned to kailak "sorry about that moyo doesn't know when to stop playing around". Mac shighed and glanced a the other cubs that were lying on his son. Mshindi burst out laughing like a hyena at the pile up of cubs and turned to ginger and kailak " its okay you're all welcome on our pride lands anytime you would like okay ?". Subira chukled and pulled the cubs of of moyo and licked his head. Jiona snickerd and flopped down next to celest and licked her paw. Zuri and Zawati just stared at the young cubs while Mac got up and sat next to Zuri.
