In the wild (and anywhere else with any other species), there's things such as being scared of lightning and/or the dark, and there are likely also small fights. Maybe lionesses or sub males (or even main male) could have slightly more interactive personalities. For example:
Scaredy-Cat: scared of thunder/lightning; during rainy season, this lion(ess) will refuse to leave home to hunt/patrol! Mood doesn't fall when rollover into a sunny dry season day.
Hateful: This lion(ess) gets into fights easily with other lions in the pride!
Prideful: This lion is boasting about himself. Maybe he wants to fight for your place as king?
