Stalking deep in the outlands roams a male, his deep, midnight pelt matted with dust, his ankles and wrists tattered by poaching scars, his pale, wary blue orbs scanning to empty dead lands that stretched for what seemed forever. Sighing softly he padded on, his aching paws causing him to wince at every step. The dry, scorching air tore at his throat for he had not had much to drink or eat for quite a few days, how much longer will he last? Trudging along the burning sands he continued, not caring if he were to soon collapse or travel lonely for the rest of his life only to be greeted by the occasional vulture, their calls threatening his life span.
