After a twenty minute scouting trip, Kaeris was satisfied that the way ahead was currently free of Spinos, or any other large predator. She pulled hard onto Lightning's reigns and wheeled the large bird back the way they came. When they arrived back where Flower was waiting, she was relieved she appeared unharnessed. Once she'd dismounted from Lightning she jumped over onto the platform and slowly lowered the boarding plank. Lightning was quick to cross back into the shack, and was fallowed by her human. " We just keep loosing time..." Kaeris complained as she raised and secured the wall.

Once everything was in place she headed out the 'front door' to the platform and picked up the reigns, directing the bronto forward...

It took another month an a half of trudging though forest and swamps for Flower to finally break though the Writhing Swamp. Kaeris stepped out onto the platform and took a deep breath of the hot and heavy swamp air before grabbing the reigns and directing Flower up the best path from the swamp to dry land on the Weather Top. " What do you think? A good place to set anchor for the night?" She asked Flower.

Nick frowned as Bo interrupted his joyful dodo torture and let out a sigh, "What is it Bo? There's no one he-" He paused as he saw the dilophosaurus and quickly pulled his bow from his back. "Shit, stay back, bud." After Bo got behind him he began to slowly draw an arrow. Seeing a person suddenly appear after the dilo he jumped, causing him to drop his arrow, letting out a frustrated sigh. Unsure of the man's intentions, Nick continued defending his companion, waiting for the stranger to make a move.

Isaac raised his hands in a placating gesture as soon as his eyes adjusted, bringing a man armed with a bow to his attention. Fox chirped angrily at the stranger, dashing behind Isaac and flaring her frills slightly. "Whoah, you can put that down, I'm not here for a fight." He said, casting an annoyed glare at the Dilo sheltering behind him. "I was just comin' to see what she led me to."

The Dilo in question stopped flaring her frills and seemed to look indignantly up at the dark haired man before hopping forwards again. Isaac wasn't upset, so she wasn't. Sniffing gently at the spot where the stranger had been reclining, Fox's eyes watched the Dodo's, hoping one came close enough for her to go after.

Lin woke up with something heavy lying on top of her. Sitting up, she realized it was only Alex's head, and gently stroked it. At the sudden touch, the dinosaur awoke, chirping happily and hopping to his feet. He quickly woke the rest of the others. As soon as he nudged Jill, the russet troodon's golden eyes shot open.

Leaping up, Jill scented the air, and took off running. Lin climbed onto Didi and whistled to the rest of the pack as she headed off after Jill. It was rather hard to keep Jill in sight, as her red-brown skin blended well with the trees and forest floor, but Didi could easily scent her and followed. Jill stopped short, and the rest of the pack caught up to her. She was stalking something. Lin dismounted and stealthily crept closer, knives ready to catch whatever animal Jill had scented.

There was a small break in the branches, and Lin could see a boy, about her age, sharpening a stick. A scaly snout appeared, and the human leapt to his feet, brandishing the stick. She looked closer, and saw the snout belonged to a sarco. Lin stepped into the clearing, knives in hand and ready to use. "Touch the sarco, and I personally dismember you."

Michi was not phased by the stick, and regarded the thing dimly for a few seconds, before slowly opening her mouth, waiting for food to be tossed in, or a hand to be waved to indicate her tongue was going to be rubbed. She waited a few seconds, until a sudden noise made her flinch, jaws snapping shut as she jerked her tail towards the noise, turning into a crescent shape. She could smell other dinosaurs, and with no indication of if they were friendly or not, she was on edge.

Fume knew it was useless to just call out Michi's name. The only thing she could do, though, is urge Ringo forwards and go higher, looking for the familiar shape of Michi. There were a lot of things that could have distracted her... a megalodon attack (she hoped not), someone else, simply losing sight of Fume, or even getting tired. Fume scanned the nearby waterfront and river mouths for the familiar shape of a sarcosuchus from above. No such luck, had she really gone that far without noticing Michi gone. Fume started to panic, until she could see a dark shape further away, and she urged Ringo to dive.

Her panic was somewhat dissipated upon noticing that it was in fact Michi, but the source of the dino's disappearance only made her a bit more fearful. More people. She jumped off Ringo as he leveled out, rolling on the sand. It hurt her shoulders, but she sprang up, making Michi jump and this time, hiss at her. That was not a good sign at all.

"Michi!" Fume breathed, reaching her hands out towards her, but not even touching of coming close to the sarco's personal space. Fume was ready to spring away, since one person she could see had a wooden spear brandished at Michi, and another she could see with knives-- a more worrying weapon.

Varis kept on going with his Spinosaurus Adami, keeping close watch for the specific dinosaur he was looking for. It wasn't a creature from the Cenozoic era yet, it was soon to be though. Adami looked towards Varis curiously, wondering if we were to do anything that day, all what was left was a smile on his face. Out of the corner of his eye he spotted a spiked head, patting the Spinosaurus and leaping off, peering from behind a cliff to spot a Pachycephalosaurus, just the kind of dino he wanted to tame.

The beast opened it's jaws to him, as if showing him where it wanted him to go. He let out a yelp and scooted back, brandishing the stick at the monster. Rustling from the trees behind him, caught Alex's attention. 'Great, more company' he thought to himself. While he expected a devil like creature to pop out of the brush, a girl around his age walked out. And of course she had a pack of beasts following her. His day couldn't get much worse, could it? Wrong! Dino girl pointed throwing knives at him, to save the giant man eating crocodile! Yeah, because that's sane. "Yeah, and let the - thing, eat me?!" He scoffed, not turning his head to look at her. Alex sized up the beast compared to his stick, and almost laughed to himself. Wow this was a pitiful situation.

Suddenly, out of mid air, another girl dropped out of the sky, making a pitiful attempt at a roll. Wait, did she fly here? Alex looked up slightly, wanting to see where she had come from, but not wanting to take his eyes off of the beast at hand. Above him flapped a cross between a bird and one of those ugly hairless cats.Alex let out a groan. And then the girl called out a really odd name. Hold on, was she calling to the beast that was about to eat him? She named it?! What the hell was wrong with these people?

Lin looked up as another girl jumped off an argevantis, and called out a name-- most likely belonging to the sarco at hand. "Oh, she's yours." Lin lowered the knives and sheathed them in her belt. Her troodons followed her out into the open, but she signaled them to stay back. She surveyed the others. "What are your names?"

Fume wasn't about to relax now. Were those troodons? A whole pack of them, and with the way they were following behind the other woman, they were likely hers. This had trouble brewing; Fume had seen dinosaurs used against people before. Raptors and giant apes were the mainstay of most raiders, and troodons almost fit the bill. Just because the knives weren't out anymore, Fume wasn't going to let down her guard.

She whistled, a low sound, and Michi made a rumbling his, turning around with surprising celerity to highwalk and loosely curl her body around Fume. The whole process took an agonizing second for the sarco to register. Fume rubbed her shoulder, putting two fingers up to whistle a louder, higher pitched whistle, this one for Ringo. She could make a break on Michi, they were close enough to water for the sarco to prove how fast she was if things went south.

"What I'd like to know if why my Sarc was near both of you, and why you two looked like you were about to kill her."

"I wasn't going to harm her. I was going to harm HIM, " She gestured towards the boy "If he laid a finger on her."Lin gestured in turn tho the sarcosaurus. Lin looked up, seeng a large shape flying towards them-- probably attracted by the whistle the other girl had just made. There didn't seem to be any other dinosaurs belonging to the girl. She could see the girl was on guard, most likely because of the troodons behind her.

Lin had no intention of harming the girl, or any of her dinosaurs. She'd never harm one unless it was for food or self defense. The boy, on the other hand, had no dinosaurs whatsoever, and didn't seem to be much of a threat with only a wooden spear. But it was best not to underestimate new people until she knew more about them. "I'll ask again. What are your names?" The troodons were growing restless behind her.

The Pachycephalosaurus stood unaware of Varis, eating at the berry bushes that were spread along the terrain. Varis kept a low form behind the cliffs, slipping out a shotgun that held tranquilizers. He loaded a few more darts before aiming at the Pachycephalosaurus, firing the first shot and hitting it in the shoulder. Quickly as he could he fired a few more darts before the dinosaur started to slow, moments later then falling to the ground, passed out from the narcotic tranquilizers. He rushed over, and started to feed the creature rich-flavored berries. He sat and looked around while he waited, glancing at Adami that stood a distance away, the Spinosaurus amusing himself with a small puddle of water.

The next thing to plan ahead was to make a saddle for the Pachycephalosaurus. It was rather small, but he knew the dinosaur was ride-able. The dinosaur would probably make good use at some point in time, even though the Spinosaurus overwhelmed it with power so much, the Pachy was much more flexible in tough situations, and it was more agile too. He kept on feeding the Pachycephalosaurus berries, in hoping it was a successful tame.

Kaeris spent the better part of the day scouring the plateau looking for a good mooring for Flower. She eventually settled a spot looking out to one of the small bays along the Foot Paw. " This is good." She said nodding and went inside grabbing up Thunder and a wooden wash tub. " Come on, lets go get some fruit." She said whisking the dodo off. She lowered the boarding plank and stepped out. She'd only trotted a few feet from the boarding plank before finding dozens of berry bushes, bellow the foliage lay hundreds of berries of red, blue and purple hues lay knocked down by the bronto's thundering steps. " Alright, fetch Thunder..." She said setting the dodo down and sat up the wash bin.

The squat bird rushed over under the bushes and began scooping up the brightly hued berries in his beak. Once full he'd run offer and deposit his load into the bin, then returned. He was careful to not pick up any of the black berries. Kaeris nodded, satisfied that he was entertained and went over to a few shorter trees and began harvesting leaves and fruits from them to offer to the bronto as a snack.

Alex scoffed in disbelief. "How am I the one getting bashed when your beast attacked me?" He asked, looking at the girl with the flying Dino. He never thought that pterodactyls would look like that... Or was it a pterodactyl? The boy raised his eyebrow at the girl. "Stranger danger. Can't talk to you until you tell me your name." he said. He then looked down at his stick. "Yeah, like this would harm it" he told them, gesturing towards the large crocodile like animal. It was just his luck that he'd be stuck here on an island with a bunch of blood thirsty lizards and a group of loons.

A roar in the distance could be heard as Fei traveled South. She was currently on the back of her first saber, Saturn. The second was running ahead and back from time to time in either curiosity or maybe it was him just being spastic. Since Fei arrived she'd gathered enough materials to survive. She had a thick fur and feather coat and pants, but had stored them and worn something much thinner, considering down south it was hot. Something far ahead caught her attention. She looked past the few areas of vegetation and saw a pack of... Troodons? They were following something.. Well, someone. She told Saturn to run and the white saber did as she was instructed, Sirius sprinting after them. She could smell salt water and realized she was near a shore. The saber tooth ran straight through the trees and out into the open, stopping when Fei said to. Fei looked on, observing what was far in front of her.
