Ebony Woods


Today was the day.

They were supposed to leave today.

There was quite a bit of her fellow deer going, so at least she would know some people there. As Ebony grabbed her bag from her sister she smiled and waved goodbye, before she left.

Suddenly hooves sounded loudly on the pavement as her sister ran to her and hugged her.

She was more clingy, but Ebony did mind. So she hugged back and smiled reassuringly, before she left for real this time.

Dillan Ash

Dillan got up out of its small patch of flowers. Its hair covered most of its face, including its eyes, so it stumbles as it walks around. A soft smile imprinted on Dillan's face as it picked up his small bag. All the bag really carried was berries, leaves, and vines.

Ebony Woods



After walking in the woods for a bit she came upon Dillan. With quiet, nimble steps she came closer before waving. "Wish to journey with me?" She asked.

The Foxtaur was slowly padding through the forest. She thought she heard Ebony, so she avoided them and walked the other way.

She didn't want to talk to those cowardly deer.


Winter Luneara

The powered Arctic Wolftaur was out in the snow of the top of the mountain.

Suddenly three pups went running infront of her, playing a game of tag. Some of the young ones of the Arctic wolf group.

Dillan's ears perked up. It turned around at the other deertaur. It gave another smile and nodded. "Of course!" It chimed. Dillan threw the bag over its shoulder.

Imani|hyena
"Give 'em hell, girl."
Imani whirled around to face the proud amber eyes of her twin sister, Sarai.
She laughed. "I will. Just you wait." Her sister smiled. To other taurs, the baring of their sharp teeth seemed predatory, but to the sisters, it was home.
"Here. For luck." Sarai took her pawlike hand and dropped a thin necklace onto her palm. A small ivory carved charm attatched to a leather cord. Imani knew it was her brother's charm.
It was a belief among the hyenas that every taur's soul could be caught in a charm before they died. Imani usually didn't subscribe to the old lore but she held onto that one belief, because it meant her brother could stay with them even after he was long gone.
Imani pulled Sarai into a hug. "Thank you."
Her sister nodded, then gestured to where a group of the travelers were gathered. "Go." Necklace still clutched in her paw, Imani slung her pack over her shoulder and loped over.

Ty|deer
Ty had never been more nervous in his life, and that was saying something.
He was standing in a crowd with several of his fellow travelers, feeling tiny and helpless among all the predators. Everywhere he looked, wolves, wildcats. A hyena trotted over and he skittered out of the way.
His brown eyes searched for someone. Weren't there supposed to be more deer on this trip? That was the only reason he'd even considered coming.
Giving uo his search, he sighed and closed his eyes. This was going to be a long trip.

Laboni looked around in the crowd. Huh, I thought more hooved taurs would travel? Oh well. She looks around in her large bag. Comb, berries, berries, a bunch of dried grass...didn't she pack some roses earlier? Eh, it's not important.

-Wafiya-

Currently this trip sucks. Why such a large crowd? Why are even THIS many taurs are travelling? Wafiya is so much more used to the mountains. All that piece and quite during the nights, ramblings during the day...she liked it much better there. She crossed her arms, huffing and swishing her tail.

"We should arrive to be with the other group in anther hour at the latest. Most of the others are here-" she pointed at a place in the map she had stele out of her bag and unraveled. "Some others won't be though. I think some of the mountain clan are going to stay there until they have to, since they live on top of where we are going. So if we head off at a good pace we can catch up. Hopefully we can catch up and find another deer while we do it. Safety in numbers." Ebony said. After doing so she looked at the map for a second longer before putting it up.

It would be a bit hard for her to leave her twin at first, but Evony would not say anything about it. She would survive.

Dillan

Dillan nodded. "True, but I think there should be more deer around, Ive seen one or two come this way before." It said, flicking its small tail. Dillan doesn't really know much about the travel, or even why they're traveling. But hey, more deer atleast!

"Hopefully it will be useful in the cave." Ebony said to Dillan. "Are you read to go?" She asked. She had already moved forward a few steps, but looked back at Dillan as she spoke.

Dillan trotted to her, signaling it was ready. I mean, more people, couldn't be so bad right? The light-fawn colored deertaur trotted along side Ebony. His bag dropped a few berries, but it wasn't many.

Seeing, well more like hearing than seeing, the berries fall she stopped. She walked back to them and bent her front legs down so that she could easily grab them. After doing so she slipped them into her own bag, for better keeping.

After words she stood back up, and ran up to Dillan to catch up, before slowing down to a walk.

Dillan just looked ahead with a smile on its face. His white ears twitched to the sound of crackling leaves. It blew at his hair to atleast gain some vision. That clear vision didn't last so long.

-Wafiya-

Wafiya is about tired of waiting in this crowd. Right now she just wants to shove everyone aside and get to the point. She growls under her breath and sits, waiting for the crowd to start moving for once. Why couldn't she just be left behind?

Ebony, thankfully, had her hair in a ponytail. Her bangs weren't long enough to cover her eyes. She saw that it was giving her traveling partner some difficulty. She reached over and pushed his hair aside for Dillan, before smiling as well. "Need some help?"
