Just an idea I had about a way a lioness level could have more influence in the game. So the current stat inheritance would remain the same, but in addition to that maybe cubs could gain bonus stats based on the mother's level.

Example: a level 10 lioness's cubs would gain an additional 10% of the mother's total stats. Or a level 5 lioness would pass on an additional/bonus 5%
So If a lioness has say 100 stats, and is level 8, the cub would get a bonus 8 stats
or a level 8, 1000 stat lioness would pass on a bonus 80 stats.
I dont exactly want the point of this to make stat breeding easier, but to make leveling lionesses more rewarding.

(edit: an alternative idea could also be modified to equal half of a level. level 1 = 0.5% bonus stats, level 5 = 2.5%, level 10 = 5% etc but the basic idea still stands)

This suggestion has 114 supports and 3 NO supports.

I think it would need to be a lot less than 1 level = 1% of stats, but otherwise I think some variation on this could be a good idea :)

I say less than 1%, because some of my lionesses get to level 30+, and I'm not even very organised about hunting them. I would assume people who hunt more times a day would have lionesses with levels much higher even than that, which for lionesses with several thousand stats would be WAY too many extra stats for cubs to inherit without the whole system becoming unbalanced.

But I definitely support that higher levels for the mother should have some sort of (small-ish) positive outcome for cubs :)

I agree the actual percentage to be inherited could be modified, to see just my basic concept implemented would be cool though (•̀o•́)ง

Myriad must have miracle lionesses, as the highest my lionesses will go is 12 even if I hunt them excessively. Kudos to you xD

This sounds like a cool idea, but I don't breed for stats so I'm not sure what effect this would actually have.

Support. Levels honestly appear almost useless right now. It would be great to give them a bit of meaning (and make the broodmothers level ups more useful).

I love your idea Antler, but I agree entirely with Myriad, and believe the maths needs tweaking.

I'm a high stat breeder, and my queen is a level 40 lioness with 5200 stats - if your maths is implemented then her cubs would gain 40% of 5200 stats, meaning that her cubs would gain over 2000 stats in addition to their birth stats! This gives me the chance to breed cubs with around 4000 stats if I use a LB boy for stud! :O

As an alternative or add-on to Myriad's idea, I would recommend either implementing a nerf (everything over level 20 gains the same amount of stats, for example) to stop stat breeders such as myself from producing monster cubs!

What are stats for besides selling anyway? I only really see high stats for profit. Is it for hunting?

This would mess up the stat market entirely. It's estimated that cubs receive 12% of the mom and dad's stats minus skill (a recently made stat calc). If you were to implement your suggestion the amount of extra stats would really throw off the current market.

Here's an example of the current stat inheritance:
3,000 stat mother + 10,000 stat father = 13,000 stats (remember no skill)
13,000 x .12(12%) = 1560 stats for the cub

And here's an example of the current stat inheritance plus your suggestion:
3,000 stat mother + 10,000 stat father = 13,000 stats (remember no skill)
13,000 x .12(12%) = 1560 initial stats
3,000 (mother's stats) x .36 (the natural level of my 3k lioness) = 1,080 (extra stats)
1560 + 1,080 = 2,640 ending stats

To put that in perspective, it would take a 7,000 stat mom and a 15,000 stat dad to get a cub with that amount of stats (22,000 stats in total, not including skill) right now with the current stat inheritance. This doesn't including any stats the cubs gains while training, which can be up to another 100. I know you want the level of lionesses of have a purpose, and I agree, they need a purpose. But this idea would throw the market out of balance.

Here is the level cut in half:
3,000 stat mother + 10,000 stat father = 13,000 stats (remember no skill)
13,000 x .12(12%) = 1560 initial stats
3,000 (mother's stats) x .18 ( 1/2 of the natural level of my 3k lioness) = 540 (extra stats)
1560 + 540 = 2,100 ending stats ( would take a 5,500 mom and a 12,000 dad, no skill)

Statistics actually have a purpose for both lions and lionesses.

For lionesses, the higher her stats and level are, the more likely she'll succeed while she is hunting.

For lions (specifically for Kings), the higher his stats, the easier it is for him to defeat NPC's in exploring, especially if a specific stat attribute is higher than the enemy's.

Statistics are pretty useless for Subordinate Males though, unless you are intending on using him as a stat replacer.

But as you have mentioned before, statistics do have their advantages in the stud/selling market.

As for the suggestion itself, I'll wait a bit longer before I decide to support/not support it.
