The Center of the Earth

"I need to know what killed the world. And if there's anything I can do to save it. We deserve a future."

Cataclysmic shifts in climate and continent tore the land. Huge ruptures in the fabric of the mortal earth that allowed spirits from the Wilderness to wreak havoc on the earth and blurring the boundaries between both the world and its creatures. It was said that the cause of it all was men who meddled, resulting in an Archdemon planting a shard of itself in the earth, radiating evil, aberration and chaos.

The animals began to change.

They gained awareness of their state, the power to see as humans did. Mutations were prevalent, third eyes, extra horns, forked tails, fangs like the beasts of old. Strange colors and patterns, reflecting the Wilderness. It is said that in some cases, creatures of the land sprouted wings and took to the sky.

But the world is dying. Unless the worlds can be separated once more, back to their natural state, the earth will crumble and the animals will evaporate into demons, becoming things unnatural to the point where their essence will disappear.

A young Lion seer, a forked tail named Daib, has seen a vision. In the center of the world, he Sees the Shard of Evil. The last survivor of his Pride, he journeys to the Center. Though equipped with strength and the heart of a Lion, he is no fool, and he knows his quest is doomed unless he has help.

And the Achdemon knows he is coming, and is wasting no time sending his minions to stop him.

Will you join Daib? Navigate the devastated world, dodge the ruins of human civilization, battle haunts and demons. Evolve. Survive. Build the future.

Welcome to my first large RP. If you wish to apply, please fill out this form! You must join as a Lion, with the exception of ONE leopon and ONE leopard. (Please put the words Angry Potato in the Other section to prove you have read the rules) However, to prevent the apps from being flooded by leopons, if you apply as a leopon you MUST have a backup lion character.

As for mutations, all Lioden mutations are allowed, and then some! You may have a third eye, horns, limited psychic abilities, empathy, healing power, etc etc. If you have questions for what is allowed, please PM me or post your question here. You may have up to two mutations!

Only one winged lion will be allowed, and you may each have up to two characters. The exception to this is when you are called upon to play NPCs to help further the RP along.

There will only be 4 applications accepted. This is not first come first serve. If we get more than 4 applicants, I will select the cast based on who I think will make the most diverse and interesting group.

As for RP rules, we are all mature here. Lioden rules apply. I expect literate responses, only with the caveat that quantity does not equal quantity, but one liners are not acceptable. You must give your partners something to go off of.

Personality: In one word, persistent. He is hopeful, and wishes to see the best in others. He is quick to trust and quick on his feet, and once he's pledged to something, be it a task or protecting someone, he will do it to his dying breath. However, he is also single minded, can occasionally slip into patronizing behavior and sometimes manipulative.
Brief History: Born into a pride full of the smaller, mundane mutations like extra eyes and horns, the destroyed world was all he'd ever known. However, his Seers gift showed him images of the glorious past, as well as a future of nothingness. Disturbed and afraid, when he was old enough to leave the Pride, he did so with confidence and without prompting from his father who would have otherwise chased him: he had a mission to seek others out and find the Shard of Evil. He dreams of a world where he can have a happy pride of his own, and a normal life.
