So we just had a new update with beetles. So I have a very simple suggestion. Maybe there could be a small larva drop chance in dung piles? Like digging in elephant dung could result in a larva clinging to your paw OR biting your paw, whichever occurs. Eating the lion dung could result in you spitting out a larva child or smashing it. Support? Don't? Suggestions? put em down there SUGGESTIONS: They also suggest that the fur-cleaner monkey in the jungle biome could give you the larva he picks from your fur. Disproved by Mad Hyena Scarlit suggests that dung beetles be more common in dung piles. A/N: There are dung beetles in game. The heliocropis hunteri is one. The dung beetles exist, but aren't directly referred to as dung beetles. Disproved by Berenos DJHellHound suggests when you run into a bird and for example pounce on it you have a small chance of finding a larva in it's beak so you can choose to smash it or grasp it. A/N - my assumption would be to have the same effect like eating it or grabbing it. smash it has a stat chance and grasping would have a 50-50 chance of grabbing or getting bitten. Edit: There should be a rummage option to trigger the chance. |

Support for finding beetles in dung, but not for finding them with fur cleaning monkey, they're not the kind of larva that can be found there. ;) First they arent predators and dont live on animals, and second they're much too big to be found in fur. 0 players like this post! I could see one of those actually hurting a lot if they bit you, no wonder our lions can't re-catch them after they've been bitten 0 players like this post! Like? |

But don't beetle larva live underground?? From a realistic point of view, it wouldn't be possible for them to drop off branches and such. I have an idea based off karma: adding to the option of releasing them into the wild, you could also be an evil, evil kitty, and eat them instead, gaining a symbolic 1% of energy like the jungle explore encounter and negative karma points. 0 players like this post!
