With the addition of the beetle pets to the game, I was thinking that it might come in handy to have a guide that shows the species and the rarity of the beetle you just caught in explore. So, let's start with collecting what we already have in the game and I'll add any new species (events/rewards/Oasis) when they appear. Please post the species name as well as the colour and stats (total) so that we might see if it's a more common one or a rarer speciemen. I will also update this guide with any other beetle related information (food, hunger, battles, training) once it is available. BEETLE BATTLESIn Explore, you will have a chance to find a lonely beetle larvae - with a little luck, you can grab it and take home! Larvae in explore are randomized, they have species variation that have certain rarity, and the species itself has colour variation and rarity! You can find your larvae and beetles in your den, under lion list. You have 6 slots by default, but you can expand them by buying more. When you access your insect, you will see a status screen with the larvae/beetle, stats, name, bio etc. Your larvae will take time to grow! 0-10 months is larvae stage, 11-30 is adult. Larvae are super hungry and it's best time to feed them lots of grub! Every day their hunger drops by 30% and you can feed them on their page a various selection of Herbs and Water items (Which are obtainable in a new area located here: Beetle NPC Note: Larvae cannot be trained. * You can name your beetles and give them a bio! * All beetles you find have same stats, but distributed randomly. * Rarer beetle species will have more default stats! * Food items fill hunger to full no matter how hungry your insect is. * All food items have tiny chances of boosting a stat of your beetle! * If hunger drops to 100% your larvae/beetle will die. * All beetles have the same larva image. * Beetles cannot be traded (yet?) * DEN ICONS will show if your beetle is hungry, pregnant or has eggs! When your larvae grows up: - They become adult beetles. They no longer feel hunger, and don't have to be fed. - They can now be trained at the Beetle Grounds area, once a day, in the chosen stat: Grab a rock trains Strength, Climb a branch trains Endurance and Ground Race trains Speed. Males - only males can battle! This is useful if you're not interested in breeding your beetles - you can own a full set of males and fight them fiercely! Females - females cannot battle, however they still can train and be bred to your males. - Females have no heat and can be bred anytime. - Pregnancy lasts 1 day (until next Rollover) - Females have cooldown of 10 days after giving birth. BREEDING: Babies should always get the species base stats, and both parent bonus. Parents colour matters when breeding! However, colour has a chance to produce a mutation of any common variation, smaller for uncommon and smallest of a rare colour within the species.

just letting you know all the colour variations of the different species are viewable in the Item Catalogue when you select sort by ID , from the looks of things so far I think the Opalescent colour variations are rarer (or even rarest) 0 players like this post! Like? |
