Here's my idea guys.
Only wolves are allowed to be alpha(s), as in the wild this would be the case unless the dog was a LARGE breed like a mastiff or so. For the beta position they'd have to be a high content wolf hybrid or wolf.
For the lower ranks it should be the smaller/'crippled' dogs. Like if the dog/hybrid was injured or unable to do anything serious would be moved to the lower ranks.
For the higher ranks, it would the larger/stronger dog breeds :)

This sounds great! I think both my characters would fit in well in a pack. My female wolf has no issues, though my male german shepherd isn't exactly "crippled" he does have an old gunshot wound to his back leg that bothers him from time to time. Other than that, he's a tough cookie and very large so he'd do good as either a higher rank or a warrior/guard.

@Amour, I think that shepherd would probably be a good guard of the camp or something.. Im not sure how Dix is having everything placed lol...
