FLIGHT OF FOXES As a fox you live in a small forest next to a farmhouse. You can catch the odd mouse here but prey is scarce. Your only other option is the farm which has several huts full of chickens and a body of water where ducks hang out but this is very dangerous as the farmer has a pack of dogs which guard the animals day and night. I'll get to this after my chores... Lucifer Female / 4 / GSD x Wolf Mentions: Cato A forest toned wolf-dog hid in the dead brush, perfectly hidden from view, her amber eyes sought out Cato within the trees. After confirming the other's position she went back to watching the duck pond with a bored expression. Though she appeared to not be paying attention her eyes and ears were locked onto all the sounds of the forest, a small padding of paws off the in distance had her turning her head that way, once they faded off she went back to watching the pond with slightly narrowed eyes. A quiet yawn pushing through her muzzle before she was still again. -short sorry- Blaze Male / 2 / Silver Fox / Loner Mentions: None The lone fox burst through the undergrowth quickly, hot on pursuit of a rabbit racing away from him. The silver fox was just a blur of silver and black chasing the brown blur of prey. Blaze got a burst of speed right as the rabbit went to jump over a small log, it let out a surprised squeak as jaws wrapped around it. The fox devouring the creature in moments. Autumn // Vixen // Open Autumn padded through the forest warily. She was tempted to go to the farm, but that was a bad choice in broad daylight. Perhaps she'd come across a rabbit. She stalked close enough to see the farm house through the trees and stopped. The stink of dog was everywhere. Charger laid near a hay bale, snoring softly, his tail thumping lightly against the ground, the barn providing decent shade from the heat of the sun, his sides heaving slightly before he awakens, his brown eyes gazing around before he stood, shaking his frame before trotting off further into the barn, sniffing around, the scent of fox filling his nostrils, causing him to sneeze and shake his cranium. Shatha She was laying around in a random corner, yawning for the seventh time as she watched those who weren't on duty do whatever. she couldn't exactly remember her irst 5 months here but, it wa obviously n eventful nor important. She snorted before getting to stretch her legs from laying down too long and wanderd to the door of the barn, now looking out as she sat down. Foxy He was currently wondering around looking for prey to take back, the stupid, happy grin he seem to wear on his face. He was never seen sad or angry before by anyone and he'd prefered to stay that way. He panted happily despite being out for a few hours already. He ws nearby the duck pond now and had heard ducks, he looked over at them while walking and ...ran into a tree....again. "Ow...least it wasn't another branch again....Where that come from?" He rubbed his head before he noticed a spider up in a tree, weaving a web...the sun hit it just right and it had pretty colors in it. "Oooo, Pretty....." Haruki ( Open for interaction ) The large border collie stood silently underneath the long branches of a shady tree, his bright green eyes scanning the area and sharp ears twitching at the slightest sound. The crisp morning air filled the barnyard as the cool breezes blew against Haruki's thick coat of fur. He positioned himself outside the barn, near the chicken huts, and underneath the shady areas of the barn. Standing on top of strands of hay, he moved himself around uncomfortably, but did his best to stay out of view from mostly everyone. Haruki soon turned his head around and cast a quick glance at Nari, one of today's morning guards. He then took notice of Sarenady, who was somewhat harder to find since she stayed hidden somewhere as one of the runners in the morning shift. Seems like everyone else is keeping a close watch on the animals today, Haruki thought after looking around for several of the other dogs. Though, he kept his eyes focused mainly on the chicken huts and his paws ready to leap out and chase away the foxes. Mentions : Nari ( indirectly ) ; Sarenady ( indirectly ) Farryl ( Open for interaction ) A long, thick stick was held in Farryl's jaw as his paws held the other ends. He chewed continuously on one end until it finally snapped and broke apart, leaving him with nothing else to satisfy his boredom. Then, deciding that it was better off to do something else than just lying around. Farryl sat up lazily as a long yawn escaped from the fox's maw. He then stood up and wandered past some of the other foxes. He thought about hunting after hearing his stomach rumble, reminding him that he hasn't eaten since yesterday at noon. Walking towards the direction of the farm, he peered one of their only main prey sources,The first thing he noticed were the delicious, mouth-watering hens walking around in a silly way. Gazing over at the chicken huts, he licked his white muzzle and thought of how great it would be if they were in his empty belly instead. But of course, it would of been much better if there were no big dogs guarding the area. Farryl made a small frown, knowing that it would be too risky to go over there and snatch a chicken or two in the bright daylight. He decided that it was much better to hunt in the evening. Then suddenly, losing his further thoughts, he sat down and pawed several nearby dandelions out of boredom. Lucifer Female / 4 / GSD x Wolf Mentions: Cato, Foxy Her head snapped up as a fox seemed to run straight into a tree and become entranced with a spider. Her lips curled up with a vicious growl, lunging to her paws and giving a half howl/bark sound. Taking off towards the animal with volleys of barks, she wasn't a runner this time around but she could chase it away if not catch it right? If she couldn't get it then surely Cato heard her! Her jaws snapped together with a loud metallic click. "Get outta here varmint!" Her voice was thick with growls, her fur bristled fully as her body stretched out to it's full length before curling back up only to spring out again as she dashed around the side of the pond and finally towards the fox. -shorttt sorryyy D:- Blaze -wandering out lazily- Jasper Male / 2 1/2 / Blue nose Pitbull Mentions: Barks in distance, None The blue nose pit picked his head up with a slight head tilt, off in the distance volleys of barks and half howls sounded. "Lucifer must have seen a fox or something. Crazy mutt." He chuckled, rising to his paws, hay sprinkling off his back from him laying under one of the many hay stacks. Though this one was on top of a wagon and easy to stay under without being noticed. His eyes followed the movements of the other dogs around the farms and even finding some of the guards and the runner for the chickens, though some were more difficult then others. (D: Leve my idiot alone. Lol JK He should know better XD) Foxy snapped out of his stupter when he heard a voice, he turned around to see a large dog comes towards him. Most Foxies would be alarmed and run away, Foxy....it took him some time to realize as he was startled, not scared. He just kept jumping out of the way be fore he said; "Whose a varment lassie? i don't recall one....Is that yer tree? Sorry fer hoggin' it...pretty web....Mouse!" He was speaking as he doged before he started a mouse b accident and, forgetting the dog whose lunging at him gave chase at it, until he fumbled going over large log some ways away from the Pond. (Foooxy, I-nevermind. I did say he was a brain dead boy whose random and spazzy, right? XD) Shatha Her ears picked up the sounds of barking and howling, she came out of the barn to see what the ruckus was about. She saw what looks to be a brain dead fox being lunged at by Lucifer. He wasn't or didn't even look scared or alarmed that she was trying to kill him he looked to speak to her before seeing a muse and chasing it and falling/tripping over a log. "......Stupid DumDum....Why ain't he running Away scared? He sick?" She spoke to no one but herself. She wasn't sure about that fox...he didn't act normal.... 0 players like this post! Like? |

Charger chuckled softly as he looked at Jasper. "Yea...She's quite the obnoxious one, huh?" He comments, walking over before lazily slumping down by the pitbull. "Maybe it's a false alarm?" He suggests, stretching out before yawning, revealing his sharp enamels that were capable of snapping a fox's windpipe, if he ever caught one. Mentions-Lucifer (Indirectly) Jasper (Directly) Silvyr sighed calmly, allowing the cool surface of the rock he laid on to cool his fuzzy stomach. It was still early which meant he didn't really have to do his Beta duties till....well...hopefully never today. Eventually, he slowly opened his optics and looked around the forest, his auds picking up the chatter of song birds overhead. Cato // Male // Alpha // Smooth Collie Location: Duck Pond Mentions: Lucifer, Foxy Cato was positioned in a bush, not too far away from the pond. He was currently runner on the day patrol, but so far things weren't very eventful. Not many foxes were dumb enough to come to the farm during the day. Just as he thought that he'd have to lay in the bush all day, doing nothing, the scent of fox reached his nose, followed by Lucifer's barking. His ears pricked up and he moved his head slightly so that he could see through the leaves of the bush. He quickly spotted the fox, who seemed to have forgotten about the large wolfdog behind him, and was now chasing a mouse. He gave a small huff of amusement and rolled his eyes at the strange creature. Seeing him have a little bit of trouble with a log, Cato took the chance, shooting out of the bush at an incredible speed. He ran swiftly, taking long, ground-covering strides. He reached the log and aimed a vicious bite to the fox's side, his hackles raised. He hoped that if he couldn't catch the fox, that he could at least teach it a lesson. Sidra // Female // Pregnant // Dutch Shepherd Location: Wandering around the farm Mentions: Shatha Sidra strolled through the farm at a leisurely pace, enjoying the morning sunlight. She was well-fed, the foxes hadn't stolen many animals recently, and she would be having her pups any day now! For the first time since her mate passed away, Sidra felt like everything was going well. Things were a little boring at the moment, but Cato refused to let her participate in patrols - for obvious reasons. She soon spotted Shatha standing at the entrance of the barn, and she padded over to her. "Morning Shatha." Nari paced up and down the chicken huts, each turn she stole a glance at the fence surrounding the farm providing some kind of protection. She bared her teeth as her eyes travelled over the filled in holes where foxes had once used to burrow under. After a few rounds she stopped in the middle so she could see all by just turning her head. It was a shame they had to deal with the dumb birds but could not interact with them, she could see a few pecking away near the fence, all it would take was a flash of orange or grey and she'd start barking. Rouge uncurled slowly and stood up carefully so as not to disturb the earth above her, she padded along the well known tunnels and poked her nose out of the entrance sniffing to check for friend or foe first before leaving her home. She looked around curiously for the foxes of her clan wondering if they were getting in trouble already, she just hoped that trouble would bring food. Her gaze travelled over the small tree trunk where Sage was resting "Morning Sage, how are you today?" She asked politely walking over to the mother to be 0 players like this post! Like? |

StarDancer stood away from the other foxes, she stayed in the shadow of a tree with her nose tucked under her fluffy tail. A fly flew around her eyes , so she snapped at it, ccaging it in her mouth and.... Ugh, swallowing it. She looked at the ground, she stood up on her skinny legs, digging her claws into the soft earth and digging. Getting deeper and deeper until- oops! She fell in, she got up quickly,hoping nobody saw that. She then continued to dig, making a tunnel until she stopped, making sure theres space for her. 0 players like this post! Like? |

The collie was on it today, she slowed to a walk and continued to watch over the pond while also watching over the male with the mouse-brained varmint. She seemed to be keeping half her attention on both things and sat on her haunches. Letting the runner do his job, though she wanted to do it she needed to guard. The wolf-dog found another patch of dead brush and lay in it, disappearing from view successfully once again. Blaze Male / 2 / Silver Fox / Loner Mentions: None A silver and black body walked lazily through the forest, taking wide arches around the pond and farm and continuing on. He missed the scents telling him there was a clan nearby until he heard the voices and noticed the sounds of the other foxes. The male reared up on his hind legs and turned away from the territory, pelting out of there and not paying attention to where he was going. He tripped over a few logs where not that far off two dogs were hunting down a mouse-brained fox and Blaze widened his eyes, taking off with a growl of annoyance. Couldn't a male get a break around here? Jasper Male / 2 1/2 / Blue nose Pitbull Mentions: Charger, Lucifer (indirect), NPC female Jasper jumped slightly as the rottie joined him on the wagon, "Nah, considering the way she's going off it's a fox." He chuckled slightly, glancing around and laying his head back on his paws and heaving in a small breath. His ears flickered a few times before the Pit was raising his head to look towards the chicken hut, he'd have some brave foxes out there this evening for sure, but for now he'd be lazy. Jasper's eyes snapped open as something pranced by the wagon, a female sashaying her way past the males, "Look at that. Trying to win us over." Foxy had just gotten away from the log he tripped over when another dog barely missed him and barely grazed his side. "By Jove! Watch it thear Laddie! That'd be way too small of a mouse fer ye te get and a simple 'xcuse me would do it ta ge by...." He spoke as the collie went by, not realizing why they were acting weird "...Ye are a wee bit big fer a fox and look strange....What are ye?" He asked tilting his head (*Falls over defeated* Well, i think but i'm not sure but, he may not know what the heck a dog is as he May have not ever met one til now XD) Shatha 2.5 years/ Female/ Akita X GSD Talking to: Sidra Mentions: Foxy, Lucifer and Cato She was looking on at Cato and Lucifer messing with a fox when the mother to be Sidra came up to her and spoke a good morning. I have a question, Is it a good idea te mess with a fox that doesn't act normal...I see Cato and Lucifer with one...The fox isn't acting like a fox should.... "Hmmph....Must be the warm weather..." He huffs underneath his breath, watching the female in boredom before he looks at Jasper before looking at the crazed dog barking like a lunatic. "Can't we have one day without barking and obnoxiousness?" He muttered, returning his attention to Jasper. "Hey, Lucifer! Cool it with the barking!" He barks loudly to her, his auds pinning slightly against his skull. Mentions-Jasper(Directly) Lucifer(Directly) Nothing really caught the attention of Silvyr, apart from the barking from the farm. Possibly a fox having gotten too close for comfort. "Well...we can't get the birds..." He mutters softly before flicking his left aud cautiously, hearing another bark. "What on Earth.."
