Anencephaly

I came up with an idea today. What if I came up with an idea for a mutation? And what if said mutation was anencephaly?

1. What the heck is "anencephaly?"

Anencephaly is a rare yet lethal birth defect usually caused by a neural tube defect that usually between 23-26 days after conception. It causes the baby to have the appearance of a smashed-in skull, and that is because of underdevelopment of the brain.

2. Is it lethal or not?

Human babies with this defect usually live for about a few hours after birth, possibly even days (there are some exceptions to this, such as a little boy named Jaxon: click here . ) So, for lions on this website, the cub would likely last about until the rollover after birth. It would die if you didn't freeze it.

3. What does it look like?
