Despite having a rather kind caring family, he was known to get bullied a lot as a kid, into his early teens as well.
However they were surprised the night he didn't come home.

It had been rumours at first, going around the school. It didn't bother him, people said things all the time about him. About who he was, what he did, the fact of what he was comfortable with. He like boys, and thats all they saw in him. He'd been beaten up for it, he'd been teased for it, hell he'd even been suspended for what it caused him.

But one day it went too far.

He was fourteen.
After school, he was just washing up before heading to tutorials, nothing special. He wasn't expecting it, not hearing the click of the door as three other boys came in and locked it. He was too late to react when they shoved him into the largest stall at the end, despite his shouting and struggling. He was too weak to fight them off as they insulted him, beating him down beyond belief. He was too broken to stop them when they hurt him, violating him as he cried for help.

He moved away soon after that, to a new school.
He never told anyone.

He scared- paranoid even. Sure he never saw those boys again but what if someone else hurt him? What could he do?

He just wanted to be happy.

History: Brinley is an only child with two mothers. Her father left her and her mom at a young age and eventually her mom moved on. Since Brinley was so young, she doesn't remember much about her dad and doesn't miss him at all. Around the time she got into middle school, her two moms split and her blood-related mother started to focus on her own life, dragging Brinley along with her. They began to move around a lot and Brinley unfortunately couldn't keep any friends or a relationship. Thats the reason as to why she never allows herself to get close to anyone now, she never knows when her mom is going to have a crazy idea and want to move across the country.
