So, uh, there's a few things I'm having trouble finding answers to and since I'm actually familair with how genetics, mutations and fertility work IRL I am extremely confused.
If there's a guide anyone for one of those that you've seen feel free to link too, but the only genetics guides I've seen are based on bases. Thanks! 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 05/09/16 @ 11:44:41 by Isilneth (#96049) |

Hey there! I'll try and answer your questions the best I can. (Sorry if I over-explain a little) 1. Yes, markings are inherited to the slot that the parent has. However if one parent has a conflicting marking, for example: Gold Back in Slot 1 and the other parent has Onyx Crackle in Slot 1 you can get either marking or neither. 2. No, markings are their own thing, not based on genetics. I think what you're asking is: say you have the same markings but different colors (in the same slot of course) that they will produce different colors of the same marking? In that case, no. So for example, if your lion had Feline 6 Onyx and bred with a lioness that had Feline 6 Gold it wouldn't produce Feline 6 Brown, per se. You'd just get either gold or onyx. 3. No, you can get the mane colors from either parent. For example if your lion has an onyx mane and breeds with a lioness that has a slate mane you'd either get onyx or slate. But, if your lion breeds with a lioness that has an onyx mane as well, the offspring will all have onyx manes. 4. I'm not sure what you mean by normal genetics, but the mane type is determined by the mane rarity so if your main male has a Savage mane (which is breed only) and breeds with a lioness with a Normal mane you'd have a higher chance of getting a normal-maned offspring. You still would have a chance to get a Savage mane, just having a little less of a chance. 5. No, fertlity affects only those two things. I hope I helped at least a little, feel free to ask me any more questions you have ^^ 0 players like this post! Like? |

That pretty much answered all of them. XD (By "normal genetics" I mean a simplified version of IRL genetics btw) Thanks! 0 players like this post! Like? |
