Vendetta| Mare | 6 years old | Shamaness The mare only nodded to Starshock, having had her mouth filled with herbs. Having chewed on them for a while now, Vendetta packed the glob of mashed herbs onto Renegades bruised spots, then packed on a layer of mud to keep them in place. "Alright now my little one you are free to stand up. Those herbs should help with the pain and bruising." She looked up towards the herd realizing they had already began crossing the water. "Come on now they are al ready crossing the river. Just stick close to me as we cross and you will be just fine" she nudged the colt in a loving motherly fashion, slightly forgetting that he was not her foal. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Justice | Stallion | 12 years | Lookout | Chuckling, Justice surge forward, barely passing whisper. His ears were perked forward, the sound of water reaching his position. They must be crossing a river. Justice frown, remembering that the queen hated water. She never told him why, but she always panic crossing any type of liquid. He could only hope she be fine since she had her filly next to her. If she panic it could seriously hurt the little thing. Just snorted in uncertainty, wasn't sure what to do. They caught up with the herd, seeing the chaos in the river. Justice nudge whisper forward, encouraging the shy mare. His dark gaze seek out the queen easily, usually in the front. It seems she was a bit scared but handling it well. Good. Justice looked over his shoulder making sure no one was following them before he plunged into the cool stream. His long tail grow heavy as it soak up the water. He push against the river, crossing in the rear to make sure no one was wash away or lagging behind. (eh sorry for crappy one xD was rushing) 0 players like this post! Like? |

Whisper | Mare| 4 Years old | Citizen The roar of splashing hooves alerted the mare that they were crossing a body of water. As Justice nudged her forward, Whisper calmly entered the water. Her legs powering her forward with ease. Whisper had always been at ease with the water, it was mainly because it forced upon her to be a strong swimmer. As a foal her and her mother would travel for miles, crossing rivers, streams, and sometimes lakes. She had never felt uncomfortable without land beneath her hooves. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Wren shot ahead of the rest of the small bachelor herd. The woods were her home and where she felt most comfortable. She slowed her pace to let the rest of the stallions catch up.Solitaire snorted as Ace stumbled on a half exposed root.Arrow was ready and had spent weeks walking up and down the river to find the safest place to cross. In some spots the current was dangerously strong and a horse could easily be swept away. The spot Arrow had designated for crossing was only about 8 or 9 feet wide,an easy swim.Solitaire was a little worried about Bo due his weak knee but him and Ace planned to swim on either side of Bo so he couldn't be swept away, even in the gentle current. The crossing was simple and on the other side was a grassy null where they decided to rest. They were ahead of the herd, due to Arrow's good planning.Wren stood on the small hill in the middle, when she spotted a black stallion. She trotted down the hill and cautiously approached him. Then gaining confidence she pinned her ears to her skull and went after him 0 players like this post! [I may delay the time skip for now. I fell off while riding today and really hurt my back and I won't be able to concentrate enough to write a post just yet. Maybe bring these to a good stopping point and just treat my characters as if they were NPCs for now. Ignore Kitchi, Mr Man, I don't want him to be found until later.] 0 players like this post! Justice | Stallion | 12 years | Lookout | Once out of the river, Justice shivered his muscles twitching as the wind blew against his wet form. Snorting, Just rolled in the dirt, causing dust fly around him. Satisfied, he climb on to his hooves shaking his mane. "Much better." Justice hums, tossing his head back making sure his forelock was out of the way. The dirt going unnoticeable against his black coat, though his white flank turn to almost cream color. His tail flicks about attempting to fling what left of the water drops. The sun beat down on the herd, causing his coat to shimmer. Smirking, Justice trotted up the river banks catching up with the herd. His dark intelligent gaze roaming for any signs of possible threat. Just kept his massive head held high and ears firmly perked forward. (who's the black stallion you're talking about Mr. man?) 0 players like this post! Like? |

(a bachelor,I was going to have Wren meet Kitchi, but InsertCleverNameHere said he didn't want Kitchi to be introduced yet,so I just kinda made it a bachelor.I hope that's okay)Renegade gasped as the cold water swirled over his back. This was only the second time he'd made the migration and he didn't expect to it to be this cold.He was completely surprised as he feet left the bottom and instinctively his legs began to churn. He fought the water currents to stay close to Vendetta, and was relieved when he reached solid ground. He stumbled slightly when he landed, but regained his footing. He instinctively rolled, dulling his shining palomino coat.He got up with relative ease since the kind mare had bound his hoof, and felt a little better about the journey ahead. Wren wheeled with squeal and aimed a sharp precise blow to his neck.He squealed and took off towards the river. This was not a mare he wanted to be around.Wren turned around"Come on guys the herds moving!"Everyone rose to their feet and began to walk on.Wren allowed Solitaire to take the lead as they were moving across open ground, which she hated. She stayed next to Bo in the middle who limped every so often from his injured knee. 0 players like this post! Vendetta| Mare | 6 years old | Shamaness The river crossing was now behind them and Renegade seemed to be moving better now. With a soft smile Vendetta flicked her tail, trying to free herself of the water. But as she did so a familiar scent drifted to her nose. With all the excitment of the day, the mare had not even noticed she had come into season. Her ears pinned back momentarily, slightly angry with herself for not noticing sooner, but that was to be expected when you are not focusing on yourself. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Otekah | Mare | 10 years | Queen Otekah scrambled up the river bank and, glad to be out of the water, shook her whole body before galloping again. A smile tugged at the corners of her mouth as she observed her daughter's love of the water. A few horses rolled, but being impatient, the queen neighed quietly and slowed to a trot, then a walk, then finally to a stop, telling the herd-mates to hurry it up. Night was coming soon, and Onida was not about to travel when cougars would be out and about. On the move, the elderly or sick were obvious, but not so much when they were a stationary group. Onida | Filly | 2 Months | Suckler Onida felt her small hooves find ground and the water get shallower before both she and her mother were out. As the herd stopped moving momentarily, the black filly mimicked some of the other horses and rolled. She felt the dust and mud clinging to her black fur as she flailed. Once she had made it to her other side, she placed both front hooves on the ground and stood, immediately shaking a thin cloud of dust from herself. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Whisper | Mare| 4 Years old | Citizen After a aching the opposite bank, Whisper shook herself off sending droplets of water flying. Her eyes scanned the herd for Justice, he was rather easy to spot. The stallions dark pelt stuck out from the others, as he stayed alert for danger. Quietly she trotted over to him, not wanting to stay far from the only horse she felt comfortable around. Justice | Stallion | 12 years | Lookout | Spotting Whisper trotting over to his position, a soft neigh in greeting escape is lips. Justice met her half way, tail flicking here and there. He nuzzle her neck in a friendly and inviting gesture. He was pleased to see the mare was finally getting comfortable around others, even if it meant only him. Oh well. Justice rear, kicking out his legs signalling for the herd to keep moving, urging them. He knew now was not the time to lolly gag. Anything could happen in these precious moments. His front hooves met the ground once more, ears twitching. Justice pressed forward with whispered by his side, every once and a while scan their surroundings. "Feeling better?" He teased the mare next to him, a smirk gracing his features. 0 players like this post! Like? |

(Sorry, I had Court this morning.) Soltero . Chief . Mentions: Entire herd, Vendetta specifically As previously stated, the caramel-kissed steed refused to allow any one of his group to be left far behind. Maintaining a space at the back of them, that Stang-chiseled skull snaking low near the Earth's surface. Speed declined once reaching up on the pair, Vendetta and Renegade, their forwards progress being terribly slow. In response an irritated snort was 'leased, perhaps due to instinct; but alas, words were kept to himself as if.. maybe trying to display patience? WOW! As hooves began the slow introduction into the depths of the crystalline waters, Soltero's skull finally returned to a higher position. Keen gaze scanned the surroundings, a distant bachelor noticed far off but nothing that seemed to threatening. But.. there WAS something.. ELSE that drew the Chief's interest, garnering his up-most attention, senses focusing on Vendetta on a far more personal level. He hadn't noticed before, strangely. But now that they shared a close space his interest immediately perked. Wouldn't say anything yet, but words weren't really needed to express what was on the Chief's mind. He remained close to her, attempting to 'as sweet as possible' nudge both her and the little colt along and across to the river's opposite side, far more alert now than he was previously. Protective, even. My mare. This mare? Yea, she's mine. Come try me. Estrus. Mmmm! Only after they came across to the banks and exited the river's shallows (Whenever that was) would he approach the mare's front, his carbon colored lips extended with the intent to bump against her own in friendly fashion. A wordless vibration produced upon contact before he'd pull away. "Thank you, again." he'd start, voice carried low with a natural, masculine roughness to it. "For caring for, and instilling confidence back in Renegade." He'd start with that, showing appreciation a second time. If the colt was still near, his large father would offer an apologetic nose bump to him aswell. Though hopefully the child found a distraction thereafter. Couldn't blame the stallion. He wasn't really blessed with maternal insticts 'n all. 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 12/09/16 @ 09:57:19 by Soltero (#9059) |
