In a kingdom long ago, the land was filled not of dragons, but of gryphons. They came in all shapes and colors, some big enough to ride and some that only shared the jobs of catching mice with the housecats of a similar size. Some could fly and some could not. They came in all personalitys as well, as animals can. But they only belonged to the wealthy. Or, rather, only the wealthy had the coinage to commission someone to catch one for them from their natural homes in the neighboring mountains. And the gryphons were used as a fear tactic by the wealthy as well as a way to differenciate them from the commoners. Peasants could have a gryphon attack them for getting in the way, or they would stand menacingly behind tax collectors. At any rate, everyone but the wealthy started to dispise them. But that was before humble peasants started finding the large eggs of gryphons in their fields, or in the barns, or hidden in the trees still surrounded by the tall walls of the kingdom. Whether they would fight back, steal from the rich, or try to sneak into higher society depended on the person who found the egg... Rules •Regular Lioden rules apply •These gryphons are animals; think of them as pets... Kind of. So they can't communicate except with each other and generally would act more like wild animals than anything else. •You may have up to three characters, and each character may find a gryphon. •You can post as much as you want. Im not picky. I, myself, will be posting 1-3 paragraphs per character. •You may have a very wealthy character or a slave character. Or both! Clashing and meeting between different social classes because of gryphons is kind of what I'm going for here. -I may add more things as I think of them- Kingdom Hierarchy and Jobs Just for some easy access inspiration to what your characters may be able to do based on their role in the kingdom: http://m.medieval-life-and-times.info/medieval-england/medieval-jobs.htm  You don't need to be an expert on this. Just refer to robin hood or any princess story if you're ever unsure- just the basic stuff. Gryphons Design however you want. Put a cat body with a heron head and wings, or put a sparrow head and wings on a lion. Feel free to mix any cat with any bird you like. Personality: Cozard has spent a lot of his life feeling as though he has been cheated. He works hard at his job, but has scars on his body from aggressive persuasion made by his commissioners in the higher class to work cheaper. He's very ambitious and tries to do whatever he sets his mind to. One of these things is getting proper clothing and food for his family and his older sister's family. He would do anything for them and this has caused him to steal from the rich in the past. Hardly honest, but very loyal to those close to him. He can be a bit playful and frankly loves being a bit of a trickster. Gryphon: Hasn't found one yet; will discover an egg. The gryphon is large enough to ride at adulthood. It can glide short distances in adolescence. It is a he and has a head and coloring of a bluejay and the body type of a leopard. Job/Role in Kingdom: Carpenter/Peasant Other: N/A right now Name: Reta Phipp Age: 16 Gender: Female Appearance: Reta is 5'5" and fairly plain, with ivory skin, long white-blonde hair, and green eyes surrounded by her light eyelashes. She has a light spattering of freckles and blushes easily. Her outfits are often brightly colored dresses made of silk. She is very fond of jewelry and typically wears a lot of rings and necklaces. Personality: Reta is stubborn and somewhat selfish in her entitlement of wealth. She does not believe in the abuse of people or gryphons, however. She is known to speak her mind, however this can make her look outwardly embarassed as she flushes as she does so. Reta loves adventure, food, shiny things, and upsetting her father. She is set for an arranged marriage, as is somewhat common, and until she is satisfied with a suitor she has been known to flirt with any handsome man she sees. Gryphon: A small, cat sized gryphon who is more of a constant companion rather than anything else. She has the head and coloring of a northern saw-whet owl and the body of a thick-furred cat.
