Kids are impressionable little things, which gave me an idea... What if it was possible for the personality of a Broodmother to infleunce a cub? Like, maybe her demeanor "rubs off" on one of them? For example: We have an cub who's personality is evil, but their assigned brood mother is good and rainbows and sunshine. Maybe, after being with that broodmother, there's a possibility that they go from evil to just snarky or, rarely, nuetral. Of course the reverse would also be true - If you left a good, wholesome cinnamon roll with an evil mean old lady, they might get a little grumpy themselves! Thoughts? |

Maybe have a low percent chance, and a button for her to influence one cub a day of your choosing that she is protecting? 0 players like this post! Like? |

@Kash seems more natural and "realistic" to leave it up to chance, but I wouldn't be averse to a feature like that. 0 players like this post! Like? |

This is actually pretty interesting, and would make a certain personality type for your broodmother desireable! 0 players like this post! Like? |

I'm also thinking some personalities can't be or are harder to change. For example, a stubborn cub would be resistant to change. Maybe a good cub could soften the edges of an evil lioness? 0 players like this post! Like? |

Maybe create new personalities for this? A heartless lioness may rub off some new weird one on a good lion Maybe make neutral cubs the easiest to influence? Or the shy ones or something 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 15/10/16 @ 07:52:17 by Riley π {Kiman mottled king (#56451) |

I think that could be a really cool and realistic idea! It would even be like the cubs were taught something by broodmothers. It would probably have a lot to do with personalities (some would be more likely to be influenced and other refusing to change), what means some work for admins if this is going to be implemented, but I absolutely love this idea 0 players like this post! I like the idea that the personalities can be influenced. I am partial to both chance and a button, whichever is easier to implement. I also like the idea that each specific personality type (Stubborn, Down-to-Earth, Harsh, etc.) has a different chance of being influenced. Like, each type of Evil might be more or less likely to be swayed to a type of Snarky. And each type of Snarky has a different chance of becoming some type of Neutral. Neutral types should be the easiest to sway one way or the other. Kind and Good types would work like Evil and Snarky types. If there is a button, then the broodmother's personality should have the same chance to sway the cub's personality as playing with a cub has a chance of giving them a skill. And each time the broodmother's personality sways a cub, it only moves up or down one notch on the scale. So, for instance, if you have a Nurturing broodmother and a Vain cub, the cub would still be Snarky, but she might move from Vain to Unreliable. I'd leave it up to the admins to decide on the goodness and badness scale of personalities. I'd also say that a broodmother could sway two cubs a day that she is watching over. I'd also think, for fairness sake, that there would be a cooldown period where the cub couldn't be influenced again for two rollovers (i.e., you rollover on Sunday, influence a cub, you can't influence that same cub again until Tuesday.) Maybe there are also a certain number of influences allowed per cub. If the influence is left up to chance, then the change could be more random. So a good cub could be swayed by an Evil lioness to any Kind, Neutral, or Snarky personality type. (And vice versa.) 0 players like this post! Like? |

I think it might be an issue because most people would pick Nurturing lioness for a Broodmother. That would make most of cubs Good. What about people who breed for specific personality, for example Event one? It'd really mess their plans? 0 players like this post! Like? |

Do they? I don't particularly pay attention to the personality of the lioness guarding my cubs. Also, this could always be made optional. Maybe one a cub is put on a lioness, a player can check a box to have her influence them. Whether it worked or not could be left to chance. - Cub (On Cooldown) *Influence? It could also be a toggle on the profile page, like the option to see cubs on the mothers. Or you could do it by den, so that any broodmothers in a specific den could influence their cubs, but not in other dens. I do see your point about the nurturing personality type potentially being an issue. Two of my broodmothers are nurturing so that I can have more cubs looked after. However, for me, it wouldn't be an issue if they influenced all of my cubs to be good, as this account is dedicated to my pride being good... 0 players like this post! Like? |

I think this would mess up a lot of stuff, unfortunately. If all the cubs ended up with the personality of the brood mother, that would make the personalities of the mother/father kind of pointless. 0 players like this post! Like? |
