A N N O U N C E M E N T.

I hope everyone's doing well! We've got exciting news! ^-^

I've come up with a main plot for our role play which Sky and I have discussed. I just want everyone's opinion on it so that we can implement this in our role play. Also, we are encouraging people to go for the Gemclan deputy position before we can begin! Please do try and think of sub-plots for your characters, you are welcome to PM each other if you want to plan something with them but please let us approve of it first.

So without further ado here is my idea :

The snow on the mountain is thawing at an unusually fast rate this new-leaf. The two clans are unknowingly going about their lives, oblivious to the drastic changes happening upon their homes. The once frozen river running through the territories is cracking and overflowing like never before and the cats believe that it is a a good sign.

Tensions amount as both clans fight over the river, both unwilling to share the bountiful fish and clean water it provides. Amidst this chaos. The medicine cats (Fogstep and Moonpelt) both receive similar dreams from Starclan, that depict a place of great danger but also opportunity. The leaders call a gathering to consider sending out cats to journey to the place

It turns out that there is a hidden geothermal area at the very far end of the mountain ((Somewhere that would take a long time for the cats to reach)) which bubbles with natural boiling mud that has suddenly become active - this explains the accelerated melting of snow. A group of cats are sent out to inspect this place, they will face challenges along the way.

((We shall choose a group of around 4-5 OC's to go on the journey. Preferably 2 apprentices and 3 warriors. Please pick only one OC of yours to go and a dice shall be rolled! Do not worry if none of your OC's are chosen to go as there is still a lot of opportunities back at Camp!!))

Your remaining characters shall stay behind at camp and they would try an deal with their changing circumstances as well as other sub-plots that we can think up later. Leaders will have to stay in camp of course.

We will also be implementing random events from time to time, such as landslides or a border scuffle. To decide who shall be roleplaying that event we will roll a dice. Your OC's will also be rolled and could be struck by sudden sickness/injury and we will personally PM to notify you of the event. This is to encourage even more character interaction and to prevent power playing.

Now go ahead and tell us if you have any questions/worries/suggestions or if you just wanna chat about random stuff. That's fine too.

Oh. I'm nominating Beetlenose to go on the journey and If he gets rolled, I might make another OC just so I can have an OC in Gemclan Camp. Maybe the deputy if no one takes the role? o3o

@Sky I think we should have a deadline to submit OC's to go on the journey and we'll roll the die once everyone's nominated their characters.

@Lady ~ Yep! I am currently making a deputy for Gemclan, but she is only a side so anyone else can take the role. I'm making a few more characters as well, to nominate for the journey. The roleplay thread will be made in a few hours, after I finish the forms and my rl stuff c: What do you think about the 20th of October for the deadline? Everyone should nominate their characters now.

I really love the idea of the river overflowing and them being oblivious-- it gives a suspenseful feeling since you know that's not the real case

another thing that I love-- the "random" events you mentioned that will happen to prevent power playing; I'm really looking forward to that QvQ

I'll vote Kestrelpaw in for my journey cat. This sounds very interesting and I'm impressed with all the thought you two put into this. I only have one question in regards to the possibility of a random illness/injury, does this include character death? I'm fine with with former, but not so much with the latter.

@Pumpkin Lord Thank you and no, that does not include character death. Death will only occur if the character's handler wants it to happen and agrees with it.
