Here is my introduction!

My name irl is Katelynn, and I go by SquarePirate (or just Pirate). I chose it because I love pirates and pixel art! :D I'm from Indiana and I'm 20 years old. As far as one interesting fact goes; I'm studying to be a therapist for adolescents! I joined Lioden since the art looked fun and I thought it would be neat to be part of a lion game. I made the art room to share my advice and tutorials that I found online in the hopes it would help someone! :D I mostly make digital art with paint tool sai and my bamboo splash tablet. I love drawing lions, but my favorite thing would be drawing canines, especially borzois and other long flowing breeds. I typically use a semi-realistic style, but also do realistic portraits when I can. I want to learn more about anatomy of big cats within the clan c: And I think that's about it!

-one interesting fact about yourself: I wish to be an animal trainer once I get on my feet a little better.
-why you chose your player name : I have several reasons for it. For one,it's from a Halloween movie I used to watch called Hocus Pocus. Another reason is that my main RP Character is flame in elemental and his markings are Black Tribal. So,BlackFlame.
-why you joined lioden : Honestly? I was randomly looking for animal SIM games online cause I was so bored one day.
-why you joined The Art Room : Because I need more socialization here on LD and I really would like to improve.
-your art medium/program: (i.e. traditional, sculpture or for digital, paint tool sai, tablets, etc) : Gimp and Mouse. Used to do Traditional but my wrist prevented me from doing so. Which is also why I don't use a Tablet.
-your favorite thing to draw: Horses and Canines,although I enjoy drawing blood and caves as well.
-your art style: chibi, semi-realistic, realistic, or just anything :I aim for Semi-Realistic but it often comes out looking like detailed cartoon.e.e
-what you want to learn/improve within the clan : Anatomy,Bounce Lighting and Backlighting.
-anything else you want to tell us about yourself? : I have thirteen animals on a farm so I'm incredibly busy xD but I try to be as active as I can be online,because I love it so much.

Thankyou. ^^"". The tablet and traditional just hurt my wrists too much,lol. So I've gotten used to the mouse.

-I live in Britain, the land of tea and crumpets.
-I don't really have anything interesting, although I do have 6 pets!
-It was originally my art accounts name, but it has changed since then.
-I joined LioDen because my favourite animals are lions, and I needed a little hobby!
-I joined the art room because I want to improve my art, and make friends along the way!
-I usually do traditional drawings, but I also draw on my tablet.
-My favourite things to draw are dragons!

-any personal info if you want to, like your state/country, age, etc (totally optional) I live in Virginia, was originally from Massachusetts, land of maple syrup, snow and Plymouth Rock. Age 38 (I'll be 39 in April), and I'm American.

-one interesting fact about yourself: I can identify any kind of song bird by their song

-why you chose your player name: I've had this name for a long time, since 1999. I chose it after a lioness named Motsumi there was a documentary on, who was trying to raise three cubs. It was a sad documentary, but a good one.

-why you joined lioden: It looked like a cool place to join, and I saw an ad for it on another game. But I can't mention it of course. Then I was like 'Maybe I can have fun with this, I love lions so...' and I've been here for 3 years, will be 4 years in March. I was also looking for another place to possibly RP my lion characters since another board I was part of went defunct the year before I joined.

-why you joined The Art Room To hopefully make friends and try to improve my art.

-your art medium/program: (i.e. traditional, sculpture or for digital, paint tool sai, tablets, etc) Digital with openCanvas 1.1, Media Bang, Paint.NET, openCanvas 4.5e Plus, mouse. Traditional when I do pencil drawings for my county fair, and paints when I want to paint a fox or something for the fair.

-your favorite thing to draw: Big cats mostly, I'm good at them. I like drawing wild canids too, but I specilize in lionesses and leopards, pretty much anything without a mane.

-your art style: chibi, semi-realistic, realistic, or just anything Mine is a weird style. It's TLK mixed with semi realistic. If you've seen my art around, you can probably help me figure out what style it really is XD. I can do TLK style though.

-what you want to learn/improve within the clan Layering... for the love of bob. I want to figure out how the heck I can color using layers. That is one thing I don't know how to do. I'm a very smart person, but I can't figure it out and it's frustrating me. I hate not knowing something :( I know anatomy well, it's just the coloring and layering aspect.

-anything else you want to tell us about yourself? I have very low self confidence and self esteem, I do not take harsh critique on my art well. I love doing art trades and gift art, but I also want people to actually like my art. And not say 'Oh... it's cute but...' *headdesk*

Mots: I totally get you with the "oh its cute" bit XD It's why I started striving for realism in my portraits, because I wanted that "wow" response instead. I hope we can help you get more confident in your art! If you post your question about layering on the art chat board, maybe I can offer some advice!

I hope so, but it's hard when I get more rejections than people saying 'Oh I want that! Can you draw that for me?' Stuff like that. So that doesn't help me at all unfortunately.

- I live in Texas, and I JUST juuust turned 23, I feel so old.

-your art medium/program: I mainly use Sai but I do traditional occasionally.

-your favorite thing to draw: Dogs, Monsters, domesticated cats and big cats. Sometimes fan work!

-your art style: Probably would be considered semi realistic. :P Probably wouldn't consider my style cute, it's gritty, I don't ALWAYS really like it but it's one thing people compliment the most on.

- Colors and values, finishing pieces, brushing up and becoming better at anatomy.

- I breed fancy show mice. I don't have a lot of self esteem, especially regarding my art. I'm a ball of anxiety tbh. I play a lot of video games, horror is my go to genre. My real name is Shannon, and my player name is Tatsu. As for interesting facts go I suffer from hallucinations which we think is linked to my being a maladaptive daydreamed. I am also working on novel called Dragon Eyes. I also live in the England, Cornwall. Why I choose my player name? It all started when I was in year 8 and me and my friends wanted to make a comic of sort, my character is a crazy dragon lord called Tatsu. Although we never did anything with it other then put in one our quotes from our book of quotes(Which we still have today). I grow attached to the name so made it my player name when I joined Lioden.
I joined Lioden was mainly because I don't have much of a life^^
My art is nearly also ways traditional, but I am learning very slow on digital.
I joined The Art Room to improve my art and help others^^
My favourite thing to draw is by far dragons and wolf-like-things. My style can be anything for cartoons to realistic.
What I want to improve on would be everything as I really appreciate any advice given to me^^
