Yay, Lalasa is back with her wildly u̶n̶popular ideas! But hear me out on this one... Currently, when you unlock a higher level explore zone, the NCLs are still exactly the same as they are in the lower level ones. But if you have to be a certain level of buff and manly to enter certain zones, shouldn't the lionesses be cuter babes too? After all, why go to all that work to unlock the "exclusive club passes" to the later level zones if there really isn't that much of a reward past sightseeing? Therefore I propose that while the lower level zones will still have a chance for chased ladies, most of the chased lionesses should congregate in higher level zones, with the Waterhole having the largest chance since it would be the ideal lion hangout. Where else would be a better place to meet and greet some cute lionesses than the gathering point for all of the local wildlife? This could apply to regular NCLs too, with the higher level zones attracting natural NCLs with more marks. Heck, the Waterhole could be this snazzy zone that has a small chance for special base lionesses to appear, giving a larger incentive to unlock the zone and be part of the awesome lions! And with the new claiming system in place, it's not like you'll be guaranteed to collect every single pretty girl that passes by anyway. It will just make exploring more exciting by bringing in a reward of cuter lionesses to try and frolic with when each new zone unlocks. ;) Soo, support or no support? And if no, then why? |

Maybe, as you go up in level, it gets increasingly difficult to obtain these lionesses? For example, there will be more of the evil, snarky, and neutral with different preferences as to how you claim them. 0 players like this post! Like? |

@Nyabi I suppose the difficulty could be upped too, but considering how unpredictable some ladies already are (I've lost some really nice ones and I've been Dreamboat even before the update), I don't know if that would be necessary. But if the devs see it as a necessary counterbalance of sorts, then I wouldn't be against it either, as I like challenges. 0 players like this post! Like? |

I assume you mean special bases as ncl-only special bases? I'd be pretty annoyed if any old fool could strut around claiming celestial bases :P Perhaps there could be a slightly higher chance of a posed/CBR ncl in higher zones? Or better chances of ncl-only markings/eyes/bases/noses etc. 0 players like this post! Like? |

No support. The chased lionesses are a large way that new players can get pretty lionesses without paying an arm and a leg for them. Having this would give new players even less of a chance to get these pretty girls. 0 players like this post! Like? |

@Orcinus I was excitedly thinking about any specials in general, with it being like a ridiculously tiny chance, but that limitation works too. In reality, when I typed this all out, I meant it to be some idea that the admins could flesh out as to how they would want it. I just think an escalating reward like this would be good for exploration. 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 23/10/16 @ 00:23:29 by Lalasa [Trick n' Treat OFF!] (#235) |

Dez, you have to have very high impression to even be able to see a chased lioness. Most newbies are quite happy buying cheap pretties from the TC :3 0 players like this post! Like? |

@Dez Adding on to what Orcinus said, there's also the Giving Tree which very frequently gives out even better pretties than Explore does, and at a young age. And both Explore and the Tree reset stats, so there's little difference there. 0 players like this post! Like? |

When I was new, it didn't take horribly long for me to get up to the impression level I needed to get chased lionesses. I had some trouble garnering SB back then, so I relied more on the explore lionesses to get pretties, as I didn't have much SB to spare on buying lions. Even if most newbies are happy to get pretties from the TC, some (like I did) prefer/must use explore for them. I like the system as it is as far as chased lionesses go. Addendum: Often the tree doesn't have any cubs there as well, and a cub/adol can't start immediately hunting, which many newbies need lionesses for. However, I do support the idea of having a very low chance of special based lionesses randomly spawn/appear at the Watering Hole as an incentive! 0 players like this post! Like? Lalasa, I see that as a way that will hurt the lion market even more. I mean, I see where you're coming from (and very few lions ever make it to the Waterhole anyway) but I think special bases should stay with the special lioness rather than with ncls. 0 players like this post! Like? |

@Orcinus I know very little about the "lion market," and probably don't mind it as much as I should, but I do know the grueling challenge that is getting up to level 31. I'm level 32 and I did it for exploration's sake, but I'm literally on the leaderboard just for making it there. What's wrong with giving a perk (and a small one at that, since it'd be rare) to the lions that climbed that pile of NPCs to get to the top? There really isn't a reason to unlock every zone otherwise, and it could add a new layer of interest and excitement to Explore, as people might see more merit in becoming a studly lion champion. 0 players like this post! I think this is a great idea, personally! Like you mentioned, higher leveled zones really don't give great incentives for making it there. And it takes a long time to make it to those zones, unless you're actively trying. My king is almost dead and he can't even go to the marshlands, never mind the watering hole. It would sort of give the same incentive that people have for getting to the dreamboat status, if you know what I mean? 0 players like this post! Like? |

I like the idea of a special base at the Waterhole but ultimately it conflicts with the system already there for impression. Also discourages people from retiring studs early (spending GB). I think maybe maps should have unique drops more than anything else - although that's kind of something I expect them to implement with the future explore update. I thought this was what happened when I first started playing Lioden. God know how I got that idea, honestly o.O But i think it's a great idea. Why not have more to look forwards to with higher levels? The main thing I level for is stats. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Instead of bases/marked NCLs.. maybe make the higher lever zone NCLs have better overall stats? Like maybe they go up from the 140 Dreamboat NCLs to the 300 - 400 range cap while maintaining the rarity of breed only and special bases? 0 players like this post! Like? |

@J Well, I suppose that is an option, but then people might get "annoyed" with the bloat of stats instead. I've read suggestions that got a lot of flak simply because they came off as making stat collection easier. To be honest, it just seems like a lot of people want things to be harder, but as for me, I like my challenges and incentives too. So whatever happens with this idea is fine. 0 players like this post! Like? |
