After giving her chest a few attentive licks she padded out of camp, smiling when a cool breeze ruffled her pelt.

The black tom's face fell when he heard the news about Harestar. His heart broke slightly, both for the lack of his training and for the loss of their leader. Sitting down, he struggled with the emotions that were whirling within him. How could he feel such grief but be mad at the same time? He was selfish in the sense that he was mad that she died right at this minute, stopping his chance to be taught by the deputy, soon to be Ryestar. Lifting his head up to Ryetail, he listened as they said the vigil would be tonight and that she would come back from her naming ceremony. Sighing, he looked around and spotted Ravenstrike leave camp. Seeing it has his opportunity to get out of camp, he sprung to his paws and raced after her. "Hey! Ravenstrike! Do you mind if I join you?" he asked hopefully.

When Heronkit left the warm place he had called home for three moons and felt the cold air that was going to be his home for the rest of his life, he held his breath. It was too cold for him, making him tremble slightly. Only when he could smell and feel the warmth of other bodies around him did he open his jaws and let out a feeble squeak, wiggling his way towards Blizzardkit and his mother. When he felt his wet body brush against the body of his brother and mother, he let out a grateful sigh and latched onto his mothers teat.

the black she-kit struggles as she feels something (moss) cover her, lashing out with her tiny paws. angry with the thing, well, as angry as a newborn could get anyway. She mewls, trying to find her littermates and mother. When the smell of milk hits her, and she crawls toward it. Her paws shaking with effort. At last, she reaches them, and snuggles into her mother's fur, getting conferable as she starts to feed.

"Five kits, you're going to have your paws full Bluefeather." Silvermist jokes, purring as she watches the kits move to Bluefeather "If you need anything, just tell me." Silvermist pipes up, then moves her tail, revealing her kits "Next time a queen is giving birth, you two won't be allowed to stay here." she wanted to push the duo out, but they insisted that they needed to be at the birth. Cinderkit for experience, and Rainkit did not want to be left alone, she turns back to the new queen "I'm happy to see all of them healthy."

"Well, that did not go as planned..." Nightpaw curls his tail around himself, his ears pinned back, and eyes fixed on the ground "At least she was a good leader." he mummers, taking a moment to look up at the sky. Big mistake, Nightpaw hisses as the sun's rays hit his eyes

"Ow!" he blinks, trying to get the blurr out of his vision,. Then he renembers who his mentor is, or was. He walks over to Ryetail "So, your going to the moonstone to get your nine lives?" he asks, his head tilted "Will you still be my mentor when you become leader, or will someone else be my mentor?"

The tom looked around and sighed,thinking about his sister. He missed her,but there was no point in thinking back. He has a new life... One he doesn't want that much. But oh well,changes happen in life. He sat down and studied the camp,searching for a potentially new acquaintance.

Cinderkit runs out of the nursery, yowling "Bluefeather had her kits!" over and over again. Running around camp like a crazed fox, until she bumps into someone. She shakes her head and looks up, noting that the tom was a warrior "Hello, i'm Cinderkit! Are you new? Because i never seen you before, and as medicine cat apprentice, you need to know every cat in the clan!" she purrs, happily running circles around the tom "What is your name?" she asks, panting like a dog.

Cinderkit nods "Sunstripe... if your ever hurt, come see me or Tinyheart, okay?" she purrs, wich turns into a growl as a feather lands on her nose "Get off!" she cries as the wind picks up and the feather flies away, she chases after it, not waiting for a response from Sunstripe. Jumping around as the feather seems to tease her, she takes a big leap, pouncing on the feather, then turns back to Sunstripe

"Anyway, you came at the right time, Bluefeather has just given birth to five kits! Wait... Bluefeather's kits are born when you show up... are you Bluefeather's mate and the father of her kits?" Cinderkit asks, her eyes shining, pleased that the kits have a chance to meet their father, that the kits could do something she would never be able to do.

The rusty tom slowed to a fast walk when his lungs felt like bursting and his heart beat quickly in his chest. He laid the mole down on a nearby rock and sat. His tongue lolling out of his mouth as he panted. He heard the quiet movement of dirt near him and closed his mouth, slowing his breath and slowly falling into a crouch. Twitching his ears as the sound got closer to the surface of the earth. His eyes darted back and forth searching for the spot that the animal would come up from. Then it surfaced and without hesitation he pounced on the tiny creature.

"Well, you talked to me. I know! I'l show you around camp!" Cinderkit purrs, pointing with her tail "This is the warriors den! But i'm sure you already knew that!"
she dashes to another den, kicking up dirt as she runs "This is the elders den, warriors who are to old to hunt or fight live here!"
she then jumps over to another den "This is the apprentice den! The cats who live here practice to be a warrior!"
she smiles as she walks over to yet another den "This is the nursery! All kits and queens live here!"
she reaches the last den "This is my favorite den, the medicine den! This is where the medicine cats live, soon i'll live there to! Along with Tinyheart!"

Ryetail was padding down from Leader's Hill when she met her apprentice on the way. "Of course I will still be your mentor. I'm still fit to train a cat. Even more so, I'd say,". She bounded all the way down and dipped her head to Hawkrain. "Thank you. While I'm getting my lives, I'd like you to help keep every cat calm. Get anyone else that you think is collected. Cats will be very upset about this,".

Hawkrain dipped his head to his soon to be leader. "Of course, Ryetail. I'm sure Sagepaw and I can keep a handle on things here. Take your time." Just as he was about to walk off and work on gathering everyone and making preparations for the vigil, he turned back to Ryetail. "Shall I organize patrols still? Or do you want everyone to stay in the camp?"

The fluffy silvery tom made his way back through his terriorty. It was his now... He was the official leader of JadeClan. He took a deep breath. His warrior ancestors had granted him his nine lives. And at the end, Fallenstar, looking as fresh as newly made warrior, gave her blessing in his leading the clan. But no one had given him any idea about who to make his deputy... There were plenty of qualified warriors in his clan... But who to choose? Glancing upward, it was just after sunhigh, he had plenty of time to choose his deputy. As long as his choice was made before moonhigh, he was good.
Stormstar padded into JadeClan's camp after heaving a sigh. It was now or never. He had to face his clan as their new leader. Once he entered the camp, he simple glanced around and wondered what had gone on while he was away.
