Stormstar smiled at the little kit. "Now, Cinderkit, you know I'm not allowed to speak about what happened while I was receiving my lives. But your father asked me to tell you that he is watching over you, your brother, and mother." The leader bent his head and gave the kit's ear a gentle lick. "Tell me more about these kits? Are they all healthy?" He was happy that new blood had made its way into the camp. They would need all they could get. Then he heard his name being called. He turned and spotted Mottlefire. "Hello, there, Mottlefire. The journey was great." Stormstar turned to the new cat he hasn't seen before. "Ah, no bother at all. I'm Stormstar. It's great to meet you... What is your name?"

"Of course, Ryetail. Everything will be prepared by your return." The tom gave a small dip of his head and padded off to start preparations for the vigil of the leader. Glancing around, he wondered if a couple of warriors help him move the leader out of the warrior's den and into the camp's clearing? But before that, he turned towards his daughter and asked her for the herbs usually rubbed into a dead cat's fur to help mask the scent of death.

"Well, hello, Willowkit." Stormstar gave a small purr, he loved little kits. And upon the small kits words, Stormstar smiled. "You will be a paw soon wont you? We might have to find you another... Mottlefire already has an apprentice... We'll find someone else brave enough to mentor you." He gave a light-hearted mrow of laughter. "Now then, if you all will excuse me there is something I need to do." He turned, and padded over to The Stump. Jumping up, he felt like he was in the right place. This was where he belonged. He let his call ring around the camp. "Let all those old enough to prowl the forest join here beneath The Stump." Stormstar used the words that Fallenstar had always used to call the clan together, and it felt right to hear the spoken again.

Bramblefur padded back into camp just in enough time to hear his new leader's call. Quickly dropping a vole off at the freshkill pile, the warrior made quick haste to sit down in front of The Stump. Sitting near Mottlefire he leaned over for a moment. "What is this about? Has he said yet?"
