Mottlefire | She-cat | Deputy | Jadeclan With a flick of her tail, Mottlefire dismissed what Bramblefur had said, "It's okay, I need to make sure everything's in order and okay. Especially while the clan is in mourning." Mottlefire had forgotten about the clan beside them causing trouble, especially when times were hard. It wasn't uncommon for them to cross into Jadeclan territory. She would need to set up some more border patrols to really make sure that no one came across. And if they did, they would know about it. "Very true, I will have to make sure that the patrols are doubled when prey becomes scarce. Perhaps even now. It's very much like them to ignore our warnings." she paused a moment, "but I think that as long as the prey is plenty, we don't have anything to worry about." Now that she thought about it, she had no idea what had killed her, nor when it had happened. She had no recollection of this happening. Had it happened when she was a kit or an apprentice, when everything went right over her head? Ooc: oops! well looks like I have some reading to do xDD Mottlefire | She-cat | Deputy | Jadeclan An icy shiver went down her spine as she remembered the story that her mother had told her about these creatures. Now being reminded of the beasts, she knew very well what Bramblefur was talking about. "Wow... not knowing what they are puts us in a serious disadvantage." she mused thoughtfully. Oh how Mottlefire wanted to ask what the patterns of attack where, and how all the cats had been killed - by the throat, by a snapped neck or back? - but she felt as though the topic was too raw for the warrior just after his grandmother died. "It seems as though everything has been depressing lately. We should try and find something to lighten everyone's mood. Bluefeathers kits certainly will help with that." she was once again reminded of her sharp desire to have kits of her own, but her duty to her clan lay above that now. 0 players like this post! Mottlefire | she-cat | Deputy | Jadeclan The new deputy nodded in agreement, she surely hoped that Bluefeathers would take them out soon. There was nothing better in the world than the innocence and the adorableness of kits. Without knowing it, they helped so many. Mottlefire laughed at the thought of Bramblefur playing moss ball with the five little fur balls. "You'll be taking on quite the challenge! There are five of them." she laughed. At his question, the laugh faded into a more serious look. That was, until he complimented her and her serious face turned into one of deep embarrassment mixed with a little bit of giddiness.. Glancing at her paws, she couldn't help but smile, "I have." she admitted, "But I'm afraid that it might take me longer than I thought. Being deputy now complicates it, but I've always and still plan on having some of my own. Plus, I think I've chased away all candidates. ooc: god he's too cute Mottlefire | She-cat | Deputy | Jadeclan It was obvious to everyone around them that Bramblefur was very passionate about kits. But to Mottlefire, this made him all too adorable. Although she looked forward to watching him play with them, her favorite part was being a mentor. That's what she really looked forward to, though probably from the view of a queen that was what she did not look forward to. "Share me? Please, we all know when I have kits everyone will be too preoccupied by cuteness overload to remember I was ever deputy." she joked, a pure of laughter rumbling in her throat. Continuing to purr, she shook her head, "No Bramblefur, it doesn't make you odd, it makes you more adorable." Sunstripe⎢Tom⎢Warrior⎢Jadeclan The tom nodded and his lips upturned into a grin. He looked at the prey pile and dipped his head,signaling he's going to get a little rest. He passed the leader and pricked his ears as he heard the world 'adorable'. He raised an eyebrow but continued on to his den. ((Mottle and Bramble sitting in a tree, C U D D L I N G. Love bards .3.)) Littlecloud|She-cat|Warrior|Jadeclan Littlecloud suppressed a sigh. Turning her head to the nursery, she knew that Bluefeather birthed kits, but she never really saw. Seeing as she had been left alone again the warrior stood. Making haste to the nursery, tilting her head at the blue queen who seemed to be happy with her kits. She gave a small smile, turning to leave before the "Clan Mother" spotted her, "Littlecloud! It's good to see you, come here dear." Littlecloud could only turn and near, she felt her ears grow hot with embarrassment. As the queen examined her a large smile on her face. "You've grown, and I remember acting like your mother when you were only an apprentice." she chuckled, Littlecloud sat tilting her head in a cheeky manner, "They did kinda shrug me off once I had a mentor." she muttered, and she really couldn't deny it. She could remember it so clearly, Bluefeather at first thought Littlecloud was being noticed but immediately began to notice her solitude. Bluefeather simply flicked an ear, "Well it certainly looks like your still stubborn to heed more wishes as ever." the queen joked, Littlecloud shifted, laughing slightly. Stilling when she felt the queens paw on her. "Rest Littlecloud. No worry should be sleeping out in the open cold with Leaf-Bare nearing." Bluefeather spoke. Littlecloud blinked, nodding before striding out of the nursery. She couldn't help but smile at the old memories she had, the queen came to her in much earlier times, what would Bluefeather do, tell the kits all the warriors and apprentices she treats like kits? Actually, scratch that, that would be hilarious. With sharp turns she entered the Warrior's den, flopping down on her nest which was more in the cover of shade. "I can only imagine a bunch of warriors throwing themselves on the ground in front of my paws mewling! What a sight that would be." she laughed, her eyes sparkling with happiness. All the previous thoughts of death and the beast were now gone. She couldn't help but feel herself grow hot at the sound of his pur. She looked towards Sunstripe when she saw him pad in and give her a meaningful raise of the eyebrow, and Littlecloud who padded towards the nursery. The sight of that reminded her that Bramblefur had not seen the kits. With a purr, she rose to her paws, "Come on goof-ball, let's take a look at these kits." Mottlefire took a few steps and then flicked her tail over his ear. Looking back, there was a grin on her face and her eyebrows were pulled up. 0 players like this post! Like? |

He looked around and sniffed some empty nests but noticed there were cats smell on all of them.
