You can think good markings are those you can only get through breeding, or applicators from Oasis or that are only available if you meet the requirements - like those purchasable only if you referred enought people to Lioden, or buyable during certain events... But I'm of the opinion that you should like the marking first and foremost, the other is secondary. Their rarity is only a plus if you're thinking about selling your cubs.

If thats the case, its going to run you a lot of GB seeing as the 'in' markings change often, and whenever new markings pop up they are extremely expensive. ^^ I'd normally just go with what you like in a stud, with a few 'popular' marks (Any of the vit #4+, mottled it seems, ect) as to not make you completely broke.
(Plus it usually takes quiet a large GB reserve in the first place for a breeding project of the magnitude you are suggesting/wanting, if a marking is popular or new it isn't that cheap sadly.)

Money shouldn't be a problem because I have lots of GB, Dwarves, GMOs, Gnawrocks, and even a Leopon I could spend. My king is my favorite part of the game so I really wish for a perfect one that everybody would love :D

I kind of want to stick to the red theme because even though ice stuff is more rare, I like the reds better I think. What sorts of markings should I try adding to him? I used a couple random marking applicators but they actually make him more ugly so I want to try different applicators.
