It always seemed kind of odd to me that every lion has a way to earn xp except submales. I know they can get stat boosts from patrolling, but unless a sub is an heir his stats are pretty much useless and a lot of people keep more than one sub around. My thought was, aside from stat boosts, a sub could gain some amount of xp from patrolling in the same way lionesses gain it from hunting, and his level could determine the likelihood of bringing something back. He could also bring back slightly better things as his level gets higher. Of course this wouldn't apply to adols along for training since they already have the cub bar. Overall I feel like this would make the patrolling feature more engaging and give people more reason to invest time into it. I wouldn't suggest removing the stat boosts, since people do use patrolling to bump up the stats of their future kings, but an extra dynamic could make the whole process feel more rewarding and give people something to do with extra subs they keep around for aesthetics (or rp purposes or funsies or whatever other reasons). Other possibility is removing the stat boosts per patrol and granting extra stats as the sub levels up same as everything else, but I feel like that would disrupt peoples' playstyles and scheduling more than just keeping stat distribution the way it is and having other level-up benefits instead. Feedback, positive or negative, would be appreciated! |
