So I suppose I should post my own characters, no? Shrikecloud will be coming around later. Name: Pineheart/star age: 8 yrs sex: male gender: male Sexuality: Heterosexual Rank: Leader of Pineclan, former senior warrior of Frostclan Clan: Pineclan Personality: Pinestar appears to be an eternal altruist, determined to do the right thing and to help all people. However, his morality is very much based on authority and traditions, and tends to be black and white, rather than having a grey area. It's hard for him to consider that people come from many backgrounds, and what he considers right isn't always the absolute truth. Even still, he loves to be of service to anyone, in any role that allows him to participate in a meaningful, observable way. Such a quality makes him an loyal, devoted partner and friend. Pinestar is the type to respect hierarchy and teamwork, although he does not mind having authority for himself to keep things organized, stable and (what he believes is) happy for everyone under him. Pineheart will happily find time to chat with pretty much everyone and everyone. he'll happily position himself at the center of a social event, happy to find out the happenings of family and friends. In fact, he truly loves it. The warrior is empathetic in that way, he's there to listen and offer genuine support. He's warm and sensitive, and has no problem memorizing small details when the situation comes for it. However, he lives on social order and planning, and is awkward with spontaneous social events or open-ended activities. This also means that with the amount of effort he can put into planned social events, it can personally hurt him if ideas are rejected or if people aren't interested. If he makes the event, or object, and puts in so much time for it, then they should be interested, and it's their fault for not being so. It sometimes takes him a bit to know that disinterest isn't a spiteful comment against him, , but rather that such things just...aren't for them. Cats are very black and white, and grey perplexes him. Sometimes people disagree and may criticize him, and if it hurts, it's just a part of life. Criticism can even do someone good. Even still, he does his best to be a role model and do the best he can with his effort. Pineheart places quite a hefty importance on what is socially acceptable, at least for him, and can come across as a bit overbearing as he tries to maintain his social status. While it's not impossible to change his views, he's cautious of anything out of the norm for him and probably isn't as open-minded as some cats are. This, he argues, is okay, since he'll hardly interact with them. His views are fine, and have gotten him this far. Pinestar sticks to what he says, to the end, and there is hardly changing his opinion. He will do what should be or must be done in his eyes and can come across concurrently as incredibly passionate and deafeningly cold. Strengths: +Great sense of duty and routine. excellent with routine and/or mundane tasks, or day-to-day chores. This is especially true if it serves another person or creature. +Incredibly devoted. Pinestar does not do well with temporary relationships and will do his best to keep relationships intact. This makes him typically trustworthy, since he will hardly ever go back on his word. +Sensitive/empathetic/warm. Pineheart loves or cares deeply for how other people feel, and is more than happy to take care in avoiding hurting or offending someone with what he says or does(most of the time.). +Very organized, he thrives on planning and tidiness. +Strong team player and dedicated +Very social and does not mind speaking in front of large groups or being the center of attention, he gravitates towards social gatherings...and being at the center of them. And talking about his opinions. +Pineheart has an excellent memory and makes a great mediator. he has no problem calling back on his memory to help with arguments, or to soothe friends through social issues. Weaknesses: - Black/white morality. There is no grey area or in-between. A person is either good or bad based on their right or wrong decisions, no matter their motives...mostly(although he may make special exceptions for those he deems important/his close friends.). People should always make the Right Choice™, and if presented with a difficult choice...well, there's a third option. As a result, he tends to avoid 'Evil' people even if their actions are justified, long in the past, or were not even bad to begin with. Anyone who upholds authority and the rules will always be a good person, to him. It takes quite bit of effort for one to shift from Black to White in Pineheart's eyes. -he is very eager to preserve the status quo of...anything. A shift in social order unnerves him, because his definition of 'normal' doesn't really allow for much change. He is very cautious of what he perceives as tradition, as such it can take time before his style of 'tradition' is changed. -Pineheart cannot stand temporary connections, and perhaps takes relationships too seriously. whether they be sexual or simple friendships. Yes, he's lost friends throughout the years but it's difficult for him to comprehend why he, or anyone else, would only stay with another person for a short time. he's also, perhaps, a bit too dependent on social feedback and being alone too long can upset him. -As much as he has no problem with social gatherings, he really strives to be in the thick of things and feels like he's important in some way in the grand scheme of things. Pineheart loves to make people happy, but if he doesn't know if he is, then he starts to be on the mindset that he is useless. Appearance: (do not write a novel; yet be descriptive, it it is a picture, make sure it is one of an actual cat.) View post on imgur.comImage generated/Art belongs to Paleclaw @Deviantart Pineheart is fairly handsome but will hardly ever stick out into the crowd. His pelt is a warm brown color, marked with darker mackerel stripes across his entire body, and a small mark of white on his chest. His eyes are slightly almond-shaped, and are a murky hazel in color. He's strong and quite bulky for a cat his size, being average, and is much more suited for fighting than for hunting. He made a good warrior in Frostclan due to his ability to fight off rogues or other animals. Likes: -Dares -social gatherings -Feelings of importance -Children, despite not having his own. he often doted upon his siblings. Dislikes: -Although he likes children, he does not have a fondness for newborn kits. He find them too needy, though he understands why, and would rather just watch over the apprentices, who are capable of much more thought. -quick and temporary relationships -seeings wounds of others, despite being somewhat fascinated by his own if he has any. Point(s) of interest: -Pineheart is not the most adept of hunters Religious alignment: (Starclan/Lightclan/Neither) Starclan friends: -Shrikecloud; They have been friends for quite a while, and the two find they balance each other quite well. -Many of the cats that he is leading to start Pineclan enemies: -perceived enemies of Frostclan, even if many of them never plotted against him in the first place Relatives: -His mother and father were both chocolate tabbies, although his mother had slight white on her chest. He has three siblings, though his parents have since lost their lives due to age or disease: Cypressclaw(M), Browntail(M), Trasherstream(F)(deceased;hypothermia) Mate/Partner: N/A Kits: N/A History: (what led this cat to act the way they do? what's happened in their life? What have they learned, etc?) Pineheart has lived the life of a normal warrior for most of his life. He wasn't malformed as a kit, nor were his siblings, and his parents did not neglect him or die early. He was quite amiable when he was young and retains that quality into his older years, despite not being as inclusive as he was then. He was apprenticed to one of the clan's older warriors, Darkface, at the same time as his siblings. Here he learned not only how to fight and how to hunt, to varying degrees of success, but also many of his moral values which he keeps to this day. Hard work was key, and anyone who works hard enough would excel in the end. This was both good and bad, as Pineheart pushes himself as hard as he can, but tends to look down on cats who do not do the same. He easily graduated, and sat vigil with two of his siblings, as Browntail was held back slightly, and a few other new warriors. Pineheart desperatley wanted to prove himself to the other clanmembers that he was important and useful the moment he could, offering to go on patrols. He was first on the battlefield and the last one out if he could afford it, which often had him stuck in the medicine den for some pretty rash decisions. Shortly after being a warrior, he lost his sister to a particularly bad leafbare, and had him feeling like he should have done something to prevent her death. Shrikecloud, a new warrior, quickly came to comfort him. For moons, it seemed, she did everything with him to make sure that he was okay. Not only that, but she stayed by his side afterwardas they grew a blooming friendship. Some often jested that they were due to be mates, but Shrikecloud never found interest in toms, as Pineheart found out when he asked her to be his mate, perhaps due to social pressure. As he grew mentally and physically, Pineheart began to question the belief system the cats set up, especially hearing elders speak of an ancient system that apparently failed them. It confused him, one system going away and a very similar one rising in its place. While many cats followed the deities and their ancestors in Lightclan, Pineheart never shared the same sentiment. Of course, he was great at pretending to do so. He never told Shrikecloud or his other friends about it until he was years older. Slowly, he began to question Frostclan's leader's judgement, but never went to do anything major, until the most recent leaffall, when he finally opened up to his closest friends about it. He hinted at potentially leaving, how he thought he had seen starclan in his dreams, how much he wanted them to come with him. Some of his friends, he knew, would go just for the opportunity of power, others because they believed him, and others, like shrikecloud, who wanted to see him make it out alive and be by his side for it, and the silent cats who agreed simply due to the presence Pineheart held, even if they did not believe him. So, he planned silently, never allowed his cats to tell the leadership. His view of Frostclan changed, he saw them as cats who had forced upon him and other young cats illogical beliefs and it was his duty to do something about it. So the most recent leafbare, after all the movements were calculated, he made his leave, to break away from Frostclan and begin his own clan of cats. if you are rejected, or we run out of space, do you want to be put on the waiting list for later?: (Y/N) N/A Do you want this cat to be considered for a leadership position later on?: N/A How long have you been roleplaying, approximately?: about 6-7 years 0 players like this post!
