I don't know if any of you feel the same way, but I've always felt that the current quest system is a little bland and unexciting. Sure, the challenges are fun to complete, but they could be developed to be more engaging and fun. Below are some ideas to improving the current quest's system. Connect multiple quests into a themed adventure:Right now, the quests are very simple. Complete a task and get a small reward. Quests could be revamped to be a variety of challenges or trials, which include a series of quests similar to the ones being used right now. The player would select a challenge and complete multiple quests to complete the challenge. Challenges/Trials and their quests could be themed like these examples: Skull Collector- find every kind of skull, find 100 skulls, etc. A Team- Have your lionesses hunt eery kind of animal, animals specific to a region, etc. Zone Master- Slay all animals in a zone, take blank number of steps in a zone, etc. Battle Boss- Win blank number of beetle battles, raise a beetle's states to blank, etc. Challenge themes could also include karma, personalities, patrolling, posting in chatter, etc. Add better rewards:Adding better rewards would make challenges worth the effort. There could be challenge exclusive rewards or rewards similar to the games. Rewards would be greater for more harder challenges. Rewards could also reflect the theme of the challenge. Better rewards could include titles, decors, Silver Beetles, etc. Introduce badges:These could be combined with the better rewards or be the only reward for completing a challenge. Badges would be small icons, similar to the lion emojis or the staff paws and be located on the den page or next to the player's name. Merge with Achievements:Because the new questing system is similar to the achievements, the two would be merged into one. The single action achievements (Ex: Pitter Patter, Scavenger, Fatality) would turn into tasks. Tasks can be completed at any time automatically. Unlike Quests, completing one task will unlock another task that is slightly harder. When the slightly harder task is completed, a harder task is unlocked, and the cycle continues. Completing a certain number of tasks will unlock a badge with the number on it. No prizes would be given for completing tasks. The achievements that require multiple actions (Ex: Challenger, Running out of space) would be converted into challenges. Recap:Here is a little summary of what the new system would look like. Quests and Multiple action Achievements would turn into Challenges: Complied of multiple quests with a theme. Reward and/or badge is given that reflects the theme. Single-action Achievements would turn into Tasks: One action that can be completed at any time automatically. Each task unlocks another task. Badges are given for completing a number of tasks. I would appreciate any criticism or additional ideas. |

Some of these sound a lot similar to achievements. Perhaps achievements could be changed to be quests with awards upon completion? 0 players like this post! Like? |

Thank you Smo! :D Now that I'm reading over my suggestion, I'm realizing it's kind of mixing with achievements. I might edit this to fit that or include achievements into this idea. I think it would also be really cool if, say for the harder achievements like the 100 quest one or better yet the Beetle Barmy and Master Achievements, you might even be rewarded an applicator. This doesn't need to be something super rare like the referral rewards, I'm just thinking like an RMA or maybe a Mane Changer or something. If the admins would want to use rare applicators, though, maybe it could use the more common even ones or have it's own or something? I think decor would be nice, but not everyone really likes decor, so maybe having the achievements reward items related to the achievement would be good? Like battle achievements reward lucky feet and explore achievements reward an energy item or something? 0 players like this post! Like? |
