I'm still working to clear out my pride. I still have plenty of rare markings with no heritage if anyone's interested. Prices aren't set in stone so I'm willing to take offers! I'm deciding on some simple designs since I'm waffling around the idea of breeding for a "Primal only" pride. I know females can't pass it on, but my plan is a small pride of NCL/Oasis females bred to a Primal male (with no heritage) and trying to get a male primal heir and at least 3 primal daughters for the next generation. Of course that means I have to do some inbreeding so I'm debating if I'll add in some outside females for fresh blood. 0 players like this post! Like? |

@Unicorn I'll always post here if there are any chased lionesses that don't fit either my project or those of friends, but I'm constantly claiming, so they either go to anyone who ask for them or they are sold at the TC. I'll try to remember you asked for those bases the next time I claim one, but right now I'm in the middle of examns and so my mind is set in another things. @Haidar The primal only pride sounds equal parts awesome and a pain to get to, specially without the help of items to rise the chances of passing the mutation; you'd either need outside help or inbreed. But yay, go for it! I'll be cheering 0 players like this post! Like? |

@Haidar I like the idea of a primal pride. c: Sounds like it's gonna take a lot of work but I'll be rooting for you. haha. And those lionesses are amazing. I wish you the best of luck with your goals. I can't wait to see what you accomplish! 0 players like this post! Like? |

@Haidar I'm also leaning towards a Primal only pride with a focus on stats. It makes it easy that I don't have to worry on the rest of my lions' appearances except for mutation :P @Unicorn I don't think I have any of those bases, but I usually do a huge purge of NCLs at the end of each day so I'll try to keep your desired bases in mind. 0 players like this post! @Berenos Yeah, bit of a pain, but a fun challenge! And it's about the only mutation I like that doesn't need special items to pass on. So it's actually kind of a fun challenge. My tentative plan is to make a nice male, get him 3-5 custom females, and the first Primal cub will be made male (if not born one) and kept as the future heir. and then next primal will be kept for the next generation, etc. And if I get an extra Primal, I'll sell it or maybe do a little raffle. If I don't get enough Primals for a "full" pride (male + at least 3 females), I'll just supplement with fresh blood from a nice Oasis female or two. 0 players like this post! Like? |

@Shin Yep, I definitely plan to work on stats ALONG with the Primal. I'm thinking I'll keep their markings simple/natural since I've never been much to worry about breeding for the market. So basically as long as the cub has Primal, it's "good enough" and if I get an extra, I'll raffle it off or sell. @Miso Soup Thanks! I normally don't, but I think I'll be breeding every heat just to maximize my chances for getting "enough" Primals (since the goal is at least four for each generation). 0 players like this post! @Haidar That exactly how I feel too. I'm thinking of picking a few random marking applicators and chucking them at each of my kept NCLs just to see what happens, but besides that, stats an primal is the game plan :) It helps that I have a spare primal applicator buried in case the mutation doesn't pass during this king's lifetime (which would make me cry). 0 players like this post! @Shin Yeah, I have one for my next king. I'm wavering if I want to use a stat replacer (since I have two heritage-less males) or just start allll the way from scratch with a rolled. I'm currently just tossing around simple/natural designs and kind of planning to basically make it like a "Smilodon Pride" for fun. The only thing that makes me sad is the females can't use poses so they'll all look basically the same, but that's all right! I think my goal will be a pretty custom base, a few markings (to keep it simple/natural) and maybe some "special Oasis" eye colors, such as Bronze, Earth, etc. for a touch extra challenge. So basically Primal + Special eyes + half-decent stats. 0 players like this post! Like? |

@Berenos I'm not 100% sure yet. I'm looking at groups that the "fail" colors still look pretty good with the mane color I pick. I'm kind of tossing around Sandy/Sandy (which looks pretty nice and countershaded even though genetically it's a solid), but I also really like Ducat. I'm actually open to ideas! 0 players like this post! Like? |

@Haidar I had the same struggle. I eventually opted to start with a rolled stats because why not? I'm not planning on using a stat replacer, but that's why I went ahead and used items to breed a cub (luckily male) to get ahead start on training and patrols while current king tries to pop out primal babies :P I think I've decided to throw a random marking applicator at my 5 foundation lionesses once each generation (or until I'm content with their markings) just to shake things up a bit. 0 players like this post! @Haidar How about a Russet King? It's available in Oasis, it looks awesome in primals, is countershaded special -so you could breed special bases with your king no matter the genetics of the ladies- and it'd fail to either savannah, dusty rose or pecan, which look awesome. It also has a mane base color :D Of course, russet is awesome so long as you like brownish lions, I guess. No, what are you saying? I wasn't planning on doing that myself before falling in love with the stupid golden bases, not at all... 0 players like this post! Like? |

@Shin True enough! If I'm not planning to stud to anyone (and I'm not so much except maybe clan members), I guess there's not much worry about stats. Honestly unless the male is leader board, they aren't really going to bring in too much SB if they're more natural-looking. Yeah, I definitely want the first primal to come early so I can do lots and lots of patrolling. 0 players like this post! Like? |
