Ugh I just realized if you replace a G2 with a groupie to keep the markings, it wipes the mutation. ): I thought mutation was one of the things kept. Now I'm sad lol

Nope, but there are mutated groupies. Not all mutations, but some. And you can of youre use a MoD on the groupie as well if you want a mutation :)

Hello I’m new and forgot to make an introduction post so I’m doing it now! I’ve been kinda on an off lioden but now i think I’ll stick around a while lol.

I don’t have any set breeding plans I just want to make pretty lions and I really hope to breed muties especially pieds and currently have my first and only mutie Acromia!

So with all that being said I have a question: how do you guys keep your kings Heritageless? My king will retire in four days and I do have a Male that I bred that I would like to king but I’m not sure how to go about it or if i should at all.

Hey there, and welcome! If you're okay with your king not being heritageless or inbreeding is okay for your pride, then you can go ahead and king that male, no problem, as long as you bred him yourself. :)

As for maintaining a heritageless stud: during the May event you have the option to encounter male groupies. A lot of HM'ers hold onto one or two of these guys and when they replace a king, they then immediately heritage-replace that king with one of these groupies (replace their old king, but keep the old king's appearance). It's not required for HM—it's just nice if you want to stud your king out to other HM'ers.

Welcome.
We keep kings heritageless by replacing them with groupies. But your king doesn't have to be heritageless to play HM. It just means other HM players can't stud to him.
