So while blood testing our herd of goats today, I had a thought. Goats tend to follow a pattern of how many kids they have. A goat who has triplets is more likely to have large numbers of kids (3-4+) in future breedings, than a goat who repeatedly has twins. (Now of course there are exceptions to this.) Keep in mind that I don't know anything about coding, so this may just be too difficult to include (which is totally fine!); but I think it would be nice if lionesses who have 3+ cubs continue to follow that trend, and ones who have lower numbers continue to have low numbers. Such as; Lion ____ has one cub - for the remainder of breedings she will have 1-2 cubs. or Lion ____ has two/three cubs - for the remainder of breedings she will have 2/3/4 cubs. Doing this could increase value for lionesses who have high numbers of cubs? This is just a thought and it may be too hard coding wise, but I thought I'd see if it's supported. |

I don't support. I am not willing to have lionesses who will constantly have 1 cub pre breeding, to have only 1 or 2 cubs for the rest of there breeding life. 0 players like this post! Like? |

@Xylia, We're still debating and I'm still adding based on Quetzel's concerns, do you have anything to add? I already addressed 2 and 3, but I'll summarise: 2- Depending on your lionesses you might need less of those items OR it might not even affect you because you can choose to simply breed common genes and get roughly the same chances as now. Either way you can still sell your items, nobody is forcing you to breed the uncommon/very uncommon/rare genes I suggested (which are hypothetically the most different to the current system). People who breed those genes may even want to pay you more because they'll need the items more if they want to take risks. 3- Lions are still mammals and goats are mammals. They still work in the same way because all mammals share the same basic reproductive structures. 0 players like this post! Like? |

If the Komorebi is okay with it, I might make my own thread? My idea is a lot more in-depth than the original post and I feel like it makes a bit more sense than having it based off the randomness of whatever your lionesses first litter is. The original post is an observation of what genetics are doing behind the scenes after all 0 players like this post! Like? |

Responding to the post you made on the previous page Coal. Making certain cub passing genes more rare sounds really really annoying. Your idea for a system similar to personality changing masks makes sense and I agree with it. But I don't agree with your idea for keeping the rare ones rare. First of all, there is zero point in breeding lions to have a gene that makes them produce more lions. You're never gonna actually be breeding the lions you wanna breed. That system will make any "rare" gene become impossible to find really fast. Cause regardless of how desirable it may be, if you have an ncl looking cub with that gene, no one will want it anyway. I think no matter how many genes go into this, all it will be doing is complicating a system that works fine. The only reason for it I see is realism, but this is realism to the point of just being annoying. The economy is more important than the realism of the game, no matter what if this was added, the mods are still gonna have it where majority of the lionesses on the server only give birth to one cub. It wouldnt change anything in the big picture. 0 players like this post! Like? |

No support because of what Qetzel said and Buff Balls and GoPs are in the game for a reason! 0 players like this post! Like? |
