Waaaaahhh almost Christmas!

How do you all celebrate? Do you get your presents Saturday or Sunday? And do you have a tree? Is there anything special you are cooking at christmas? Tell me everything!

I am still in hope for snow, its raining right now.. but.. only a few degrees colder... *crossing paws*

I'm so excited!! My nephew is finally old enough to understand what's going on!!! :D

We always have a big dinner with family on Christmas Eve and after that we will all open one gift(normally it's Christmas pajamas which is the best!), then we hang out. On Christmas day we always wake up early and see what "Santa" brought. The big presents aren't wrapped, so they are just out where everyone can see! This year I got my nephew a big trampoline and I have to set it up today and tomorrow! (He's two, so he won't be allowed to go outside where it will be set up until Christmas day!) After we look at all of the big stuff, we make this amazing breakfast casserole and coffee. I keep saying "we", but it's my mom, dad, sister, nephew, and me. We wait for our grandparents to come to our house with the presents they got for us and then we open up the rest of our presents. Normally after that we all take a nap and then wake up to look at/play with everything we got!

We have this amazing 9 foot tree which is covered with homemade ornaments that my sister and me(and now my nephew) have made when we were kids! It doesn't have a normal star, so it has a big red bow on top of it! There is also a pickle ornament... I've heard of the story behind it, but we never do anything with it.

I am about to get ready to go to the grocery store to buy everything for Christmas Eve dinner! We cook all day Christmas Eve and then eat that night! There is so much we cook that I can't even tell you half of it! XD
I have given up on it snowing! It's been a rather hot winter this year D:

Rabe oh yes, snow would be amazing q.q but it doesn't look like it's happening anytime soon here. We do raclette (in case anyone doesnt know what that is, there is basically a lot of food, cheese, meat etc and it looks like this: )

it's SOOOO tasty istg i love it so much, cause i'm such a picky eater and there i can eat whatever i want/like!

We also watch some movies together but hat's it. We cannot have a tree as our dog and our two cats would trash it within a minute or two XD but we have 2 tiny fake trees! And we exchange presents on saturday (germany hehehe) so yep, how about you rabe?

Macey i'm so jealous, i just have my mom and my dad XD my grandpas are both dead. My grandma on my mothers side of the family is living far away, my other grandma has alzheimers and doesn't remember any of us most of the time q.q i am an only child so i don't have anyone else.

@macey it's really really tasty! It's rather common here in germany (i think?) and it's really tasty as it cooks meat above and you can roast other things in the little things below (mostly you put cheese in there and bread and annanas and corn etc!

My christmas wont be that big this year, we cook something over the day and celebrate in the evening. Well yea, 24th, germany's christmas.
We had Raclette last year, but we cook something else this year. I guess potatoes, meat, some vegetables. But its fine for me, i will make Tapaz next week.
I bought my mom a terrestrial globe with light inside. I know, its not the normal kind of present someone would buy for a mom, but she told me she missed hers a while ago, because it got lost a few years ago, while moving into her new home. Besides that, i make "why-she-is-the-best"-mom cards, but i guess i said it a few pages back.

I know she has presents for me, too. I am excited what i will get. We didnt celebrate chistmas or other events usually, but i want christmas back for me and my mom. I dont have any siblings and yes, my grandparents arent here anymore, too. So its only my mom and me and my dogs :)

I plan a bigger event for next year, my mum and me were stupid the last days and both of us planned in a different way, so this year christmas isnt like i wanted it for us, because we both had other plans and now.. there is no plan left :/
I will buy a tree next year, but we decorate her apartment with lights, christmas decor and whatever glittery we find^^

And because the 24th wont be the best planned day this year, i will use the next week to celebrate it more. I guess i will make "Zimtsterne", they are reaaaally delicious :3


tbh i am a bit sad about these planning difficulties, but we make the best out of it and i am sure, i wont make the same mistakes next year^^ So it will be a good day anyways and hell yea, presents! I mean, yay! x)

I went crazy yesterday... i made a little harness for my dog, it has reindeer horns on it and i made little blades for the big present for my mom.
So today, when i visit her, i will decorate mr dog as reindeer and attach the present-sleigh to mr dog reindeer!
No worries, its just from the door to my mom, for like 5y ^^ After that, i am sure, he will kill the whole thing, but thats okay :D But just the imagination makes me giggle xD
