Just an adjustment to the Broodmother system, for the purpose of ease and realism.

I think, instead of individually assigning cubs to lionesses, Broodmothers should be able to come together and form a Creche similar to how Huntresses can come together and form a party. Lions do this in real life, with females taking care of unrelated cubs without prompting. This should be reflected in the game.

The Creche would function as an cave while not actually being one. The amount of cubs the Creche could hold would be dependent on how many assigned broodmothers there are. I, for example, have 20 broodmothers therefore my Creche would have 100 free spaces (with nurturing type lionesses adding extra spaces). All cubs would AUTOMATICALLY be creched, as I said before that lionesses do this without prompting. It is up to the player/king if they would rather protect cub A over cub B and manually take A out of the Creche.

Edit (2/23/17)

Another thing I was thinking about is the selling of under 5 month cubs. Like I said, Lionesses can and do take care of each other's cubs. Previously I stated the Creches would be free, but now I'm thinking they should be bought like any other cave and possibly be more expensive thanks to their functions. Anyway, the idea is that cubs under 5 months can be sold apart from their mothers but only to players who also have a Creche.

Creches would be fairly costly and would be purchased similarly to a normal cave.

Normal Cave: 5-10gb, 200 silver beetles, 10 L. Leaves and Rocks
Creche: 7-12gb, 350 silver beetles, 6 L. Leaves and Rocks

Broodmale

What's this? Another suggested use for submales? Indeed, indeed!
-The Broodmale slot is an optional perk of the Creche. Essentially, they are a male who can stat boost cubs by playing with them. Stat boosts would happen once a day and be automatic. This keeps the cub's mood high so the player doesn't have to worry about their younger pride members.
-Male slots would cost GB, maybe 5 and there would only be 1 male per creche.
-The amount of stats a male could give would be based on his own stats.
Males with 0-99 stats = No stat gain (essentially useless as a Broodmale)
Males with 100-199 stats = 1 stat gain for all cubs in the creche
Males with 200-299 stats = 1-2 stat gain for all cubs in creche
Males with 300-399 stats = 1-3 stat gain for all cubs in creche
Males with 400-499 stats = 1-4 stat gains for all cubs in creche
Males with 500-599 stats = 1-5 stat gains for all cubs in creche
Males with 600+ stats = 1-6 stat gains for all cubs in the creche.
-6 stats is the maximum numbers of stats possible for a cub to gain in a day, so don't waste your 1ks in a broodmale slot.
-The more cubs their are, the more spread thin the stat gains would be. This means higher stat gains (2+) come with a lower cub count (I'm thinking 30 cubs is low). It is possible to load over 100 cubs into a creche (provided you have the broodmothers for it), but the majority of them would only get 1 stats w/ one male. This encourages the buying of more creches.
-Broodmales cannot patrol however they can gain stats from the cubs they look after. This would be random and would appear at the top of their lion page as the follow: "In teaching the cubs of the pride, [Name] learned a little something about themselves. His [stat] has been increased by [1-3] points." The more cubs you have in the creche, the higher chance of stats increasing.
-Once you assign a Broodmale to be teacher, they will undergo a cooldown. They cannot be removed from their teaching position for 7 days, so choose carefully. This will also impact their mood, with the effect directly proportionate to the cubs in their care.
-Males also add an extra 5 slots for cubs.
- Only males with certain personalities can be good broodmales. Good, Kind, and Nuetral lions are effective, while snarky lions could lower the moods of the broodmothers (unless those broodmothers are also snarky). Evil lions would be harsh with cubs. They would produce more stats in the 4-6 range, but would also come with the risk of their cubs refusing to learn from them anymore.
---------------------------------
-There can be a maximum of 5 Creches.
-Im thinking this little "you can only have as many broodmothers as you do territory" thing lioden has going on is sorta ridiculous and needs to be change. Broodmothers should go by CUBS not territory.
Yes/No?

Support! I have a big pride and often have unprotected cubs because I'm just too lazy to go to the page of each individual broodmother.

Support! The only suggestion I have is that it may make more sense to have the cubs all be manually added- meaning the creche is automatically formed of all available broodmothers, but you still have the pick which cubs go in. I feel like that woud be a little more practical; but that's just my personal preference.

Why do you feel that would be more practical? You'd rather manually add a bunch of cubs instead of manually removing just a few from the Creche?

Well you don't always want to protect all the cubs you have,
in either case a "select all" button would be useful somewhere

For what purpose? Selecting them all selects the cubs you have no interest in protecting too. Maybe have a "Remove Checked Cubs" option and they would go to the unsorted/unprotected cave? It's manual, but still works en masse.

I do support, however, I think it would be better to manually put a cub in a Creche instead of it automatically going into it.

I feel it would be more practical because I often have far more cubs than I my broodmother's to cover, and have to sell/donate a good number of them in order to protect those I want to keep. So I would have to go through and manually sort them all anyway, which is even harder when some of them are being sent to a separate cave which will likely have a cooldown. It's better if it's left to me to move them around, imo.

Alright, fair enough.

Also, maybe there could be a little area where Majordomo's could be assigned? Like maybe ten of them, for temporary extra space. The MD themselves need to be fixed, imo. They should last more than just a day and the duration of their protection needs to be clearly explained in the item description. I remember buying 10 of these things only to find out that last one day B/

Maybe more permanent birds could be made? Or that a bought and assigned Majordomo would be paid an extra fee to permanently watch over the pride's cubs?

Wow, MDs only last one day? I didn't realize that; that's really unfortunate. Not really worth the money, then.

Yep, and you can only find out the hard way. Guess I shouldn't of assumed though, oh well.
