Per Xylax' advice, I am placing this observation of mine as a suggestion. I am sure I am not the only one who loves the brindle markings. But there is something that just keeps ruining it for me. The brindle markings are just too faded on the adult male lions, while the stripes stay visible and pretty on every other stage and on females in general. Look at this for example: Male vs Female: Now, as soon as you put them on a darker base, only the female's brindle marking is truly visible properly: Can there be a change? Could you please make the adult male's brindle markings stronger? The same problem applies to all other brindle colors. This marking would be awesome if it wasnt for how invisible it is on the adult males... --------------------- Q: But what if I like the faded look? A: There is always the option to play with the opacity to make it more faded. Just lower it and you should have your faded look. Q: I already have the brindle marking on my lion and I like it the way it is. A: The Marking Opacity Changer is only 1800SB at the Monkey Business. And since the change would only apply to the adult males, the modification would not affect a large quantity of lions on an account. SB is also super easy to get. Thank you. |

Let us make the right math. 1199 (1200) brindle males (please consider some of these are on inactive accounts) 50% likes old look. Opacity changer: 1800SB If change happens, they would need to spend 1800SB Γ 600 = 1080k Sb (771Gb) 50% likes bolder. Marking Applicator: 3GB + 1 wasted slot. If change doesn't happen, they need to spend 3Gb Γ 600 = 1800GB (2520k Sb) + 600 wasted slots. This seems about right. Edit: Look, I just merged two layers and my king looks so much better with it. There are even lines visible that were completely invisible before. Stylish, isnt it. 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 24/12/16 @ 16:41:35 by Axel (#6627) |

I wholy support @Lex: Removing a breed-only marking so I can add a custom is counter-productive if I want to keep a stud desirable. There can simply be a free Marking Opacity Changer per brindle mark (or manual Admin edit to avoid abuse of the offer) given to anyone that requests it if the change goes ahead. That way no slots or money is wasted on either side. I do also doubt most people with a brindle mark are going to have their game ruined by a marking edit, especially with the current ratio of support to no supports. I'm sure most will just go "oh, that's different" and be done with it, so edits are probably going to be about as much work for the mods/admins as when some people wanted their lionesses put back to infertile instead of 1% after the fert drop glitch. To add to the suggestion: I would want the marking more sharpened than anything (like on the females) so simply doubling it up rather having it re-done doesn't really cut it for me. Adult male is an anomaly with faded soft lines, and needs to be brought up to date. The recent addition of poses shows off the discrepancy quite a bit, and if the new male poses have a cleaner version like female poses then it's going to stick out like a sore thumb. 0 players like this post! I think some marks should be bosted cuz they look dull and gross on the males but amazing on the females. And not everyone has money to pay for gb, or have the luck or deco to sell to get the gb. plus I sure as heck don't want to waste space that I can be putting other marks on just to darken some other marks that are at 100% already 0 players like this post! I'm personally fine with this either way. I agree with MajestyCoal though; for some reason, the brindle marks on males in particular are kind of blurry and not as appealing as the brindles on females, and again, as they said, the poses really show this a lot. For some reason, this also applies to male and female dwarfs. The female ones have a very dark, thick brindle, but the male ones have a very light, softer brindle. A lot of markings actually seem to look better on the poses. It may have something to do with them having newer art that fits Xylax's improved art style, as the current normal male and female linearts have been there since the start of the game, yeah? 0 players like this post! Support! Markings should look the same on females as they do males, that is just common sense. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Support. My last king had brindle. And it was so dull, it was hardly even there. It made no change to his look. If changed, people who don't agree could send in a mod box ticket requesting a change in their opacity. Of course this would need to be done in a certain time frame(the request sent). As someone previously said, if a marking nerds two on top of each other to be seen properly, it needs a file edit. There's no reason for a marking to look differently on a male than it does on female. 0 players like this post! Like? |

I support. My main male Toa has Onyx Brindle and it just doesn't look as strong on him as it does his offspring. I'd love to see it darker so he looks more show-y. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Support - I find myself going to coat more than brindle very often because of this :/ As for people with it currently having to change opacities... Even cost aside, since this is only affecting male lions, who usually have all slots filled up anyways because people like customizing their kings, it'd be rather annoying having to waste one marking slot to make it more visible. 0 players like this post! Have you tried submitting it to the art bug board and seeing what happens? 0 players like this post! Like? |

It was submitted there but Xy locked it and suggested I submit it here, since it isnt a bug. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Perhaps, as a compromise, if Xylax were to do the tweaks that Axel has suggested , then it could be released as a new marking, 'brindle 2.' This would mean that everyone is happy - fans of the darker brindle mark suggested by Axel have a marking that they can put on their lions in place of two of the existing brindle markings, and fans of the more subtle marking (such as myself) don't have lions with a mark that is suddenly much darker! 0 players like this post! I guess it would depend on how many supports this suggestion gets. If the majority isnt happy with how the marking is at the moment, it would be cheaper of the playerbase to have the marking itself edited and have the others pay 1800SB for an opacity changer. Otherwise, you get tons of people having to pay GBs to add markings they already purchased once for GB. If the ratio of unsatisfied players stays this high, then an edit is more fortunate. 0 players like this post! Like? |
