Sam sat on the dirty motel bed looking blankly down at his hands. Their dad had just died and it was tearing Dean up. I mean don't get him wrong, Sam was upset to, but he was never as close to the man as Dean was. He didn't know what to do or how to comfort Dean, but he had to do something. Dean got in these self destructive cycles. Sam got up and went to the mini fridge. He pulled out a couple of beers and walked outside where Dean was standing. He didn't say a word and just handed his brother a beer.

Dean looked at his brother for a moment before taking the beer, he didn't know what to say to his brother mostly since he didn't trust himself not to have a go at his brother and knew he was still feeling that pain since he knew he'd been closer to their father then his brother had. Dean took a sip of the beer before sighing to himself. He was thinking a hunt could be the best thing at that moment.

He sipped at his beer for a few minutes in silence. He knew this was tricky territory with his brother. The last thing he needed was another broken nose. He instinctively flinched at the thought. What they needed was to get back on the road and get on a hunt. It helped Dean express his anger. Since his brother refused to ever talk about it with him. He pulled his phone out and began scrolling through news stories, trying to find one that stuck out as their type of thing.

"Hey Dean." He said nudging his brother and holding out the phone to him. It was a story about a few "accidental" deaths in a famous haunted tourist stop. "What do you think? Sound like our kind of thing?" He asked. It was a small town in Connecticut and would be a bit of a drive, but if there was anything Dean loved more than hunting, it was driving his baby.

Dean knew he'd need to handle his anger at the moment since he knew he shouldn't take his frustrations out on his younger brother and guessed that was something that he did happen to share with their father. He watched his brother for a moment before hearing what his brother said and nodded he guessed that it likely was going to be the best thing to do rather then sitting around moaning and getting mad, "Get some rest, we'll head out in the morning" Dean told him.

"You too Dean." He said patting his brother on the shoulder and giving him a concerned look. It would do Dean no good staying up all night dwelling. He lingered a moment, scanning over his brothers face before turning back into the motel. He downed his beer quickly and tossed it into the trash as he headed to his bed. He looked over the dirty sheets and frowned. It wasn't likely he would get much sleep. He hated this crappy motels they always stayed at. He sat at the foot of the bed and decided to do a bit more research on where they were heading.

Dean stayed outside for a little while longer to finish his beer before going back inside and over to his bed, he knew the motels weren't much of a choice to stay in since they didn't really have any place they could really stay at other then Bobby's place but he knew they couldn't always go to Bobby if problems came up. Dean didn't know if he was wanting to sleep since he didn't feel like it. Dean came over to his brother before taking his laptop away since he knew his brother should be getting some sleep.

Sam looked up with a what the hell look as Dean took his laptop away from him. He held his hands up as if he was demanding an answer. It wasn't like Dean was going to do any research. He quickly put his hands down though, deciding not to press his brother. Not right now at least. "Look Dean..." He started to say but trailed off and just shook his head. It wouldn't do any good trying to talk to him right now. He ran a hand through his long hair and let out a sigh. "It has been a rough few days." He finally said.

"Your meant to get sleeping Sam, we have to get up early tomorrow" Dean said to him hoping that they'd be able to just get some rest, Dean placed the laptop on the table before laying down on his bed and closed his eyes, he felt strangely tired and guessed he'd likely would end up getting some sleep since he hadn't been sleeping to well since their father's death. Dean was soon out like a light.

He rolled his eyes as Dean was out and soon could hear his soft snores. He smiled and flopped back into his bed. He put his hands behind his head and stared at the ceiling for awhile before his eyes finally closed slowly. He never slept well like his brother, who it seemed could sleep in anything. He did manage to drift off for a few hours before a nightmare brought him jolting awake. He groaned rubbing his face and looking over to his brother who, thankfully, was still asleep. He rolled out of bed quietly and headed to the bathroom to take a quick shower before they headed out.

Dean woke after his brother was up not knowing his brother had a nightmare, he normally would be woken by his brother's nightmares or his own nightmares. He slowly got up and heard the shower and guessed his brother was in there. Dean got up before going and getting them breakfast since he knew Sam was likely to be hungry and he was likely to take a shower after his brother got out.

He took his time. The morning was frigid and he was enjoying the warm water running over his skin. When he finally finished the bathroom was filled with steam. He wrapped a towel around his waste and ran a hand through his hair, smoothing out any tangles. He stepped out of the bathroom to find his clothes and groaned as the chilly air hit him. He ran to his bed and grabbed his clothes. He noticed Dean had been up a brought breakfast.

"Great, I'm starving." He said to Dean as he disappeared back into the bathroom for a minute to get dressed. He came back out wearing dark jeans, a red a navy plaid shirt. He tossed his hair again as he sat back on his bed to pull on his shoes. "How'd you sleep?" He asked in passing, shooting his brother a sideways glance.

"Better then most nights and you better not have used up all the hot water" Dean muttered as he gave his brother his breakfast before taking his clothes that he would be getting changed into, into the bathroom and went and showed. The shower wasn't as hot as he would have liked but it was better then nothing. He soon got out and dried himself and got dressed, he came out wearing a dark blue shirt with dark jeans. He got his shoes and jacket on knowing that they should get going. "You ready?" Dean asked him.

Sam had just finished eating as Dean came out. He got up and threw his trash away. "Yeah, let's go." He said pulling his jacket on. He slipped his laptop into his back and grabbed his phone off the table. He headed out to the impala and tossed his laptop in the backseat. He shifted his gun in the small of his back and slid into the passenger seat of the impala. He knew his place in the car.

Dean made sure they didn't leave any thing behind, he returned the motel room keys before getting into the driver's seat, he would make sure that his brother stayed safe since he knew it was still his job to protect his baby brother from harm. Dean started his baby up before driving to where they needed to get to.

Sam sat in silence for most of the drive. He was on his phone looking up more about this haunted attraction. For the most part it seemed like nothing more than a tourist trap, but these recent deaths made it suspicious. They resembled the death of the original owner a little to closely. So what changed? Nothing happened since the original deaths, but now it seemed, for 3 nights in a row, people were showing up dead. He furrowed his brows as he considered the options. He was lost in his own thoughts.
