The Third Lioden Hybrid - The JaglionWhat is a Jaglion? A jaglion is the unlikely offspring produced from a male jaguar and a lioness. While seemingly bizarre and outlandish to many, jaglions are actually among one of the more recent hybrids to be successfully produced. Although they are bred less often (thankfully) than ligers and liligers, there are two jaglions, Tsunami and Jazhara, who were born at Bear Creek Sanctuary in 2006. The two are still alive to this day, although their parents have since been separated to prevent more accidental jaglions. The two creatures seem to be healthy, and sport a very unique appearance in comparison to leopons. http://www.bearcreeksanctuary.com/jaglions.htm - PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THESE PEOPLE DO NOT GENUINELY CARE FOR THESE ANIMALS, AND ARE NOT A TRUE SANCTUARY. DO NOT PLAN VISITS TO THEM SIMPLY BECAUSE I'M USING THEM AS AN EXAMPLE OF JAGLIONS.*** https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leopon How would they occur in Lioden? A good, valid question! After all, jaguars live in South America, not Africa. However, you know what other impossible hybrid is coming to Lioden in 2018? The tigon. UPDATE! A jaguar encounter was added in the December of 2017! This male jaguar is in search of a lioness to protect him. Maybe that lioness will do a little more than just protect him... Fun Jaglion Facts! 1. Male jaglions don't have a mane. At most, they have a little bit more fluff on their chests. *** More Info on Bear Creek Bear Creek allows visitors to handle cubs, which is both stressful and unhealthy for the cubs. These cubs are taken away from their mothers before they are weaned to be bottle-fed by visitors and staff while they are still "cute". Once these cubs grow up, they are often left in awful conditions. Along with that, their production of the Jaglions shows how careless they are towards conserving wildlife. Hybrids serve no conservation purposes. Cub handling is cruel. Do not support Bear Creek, and please, don't take this suggestion as me advocating for them. |

@ Roselron - I understand where you're coming from, in terms of spotting pattern, but jaguars and leopards actually have drastically different builds than jaguars! Jaguars are very stocky, with stronger jaws. The spotting pattern is even slightly different, if you look at the patterns on the two big cats! I appreciate your input, though. 0 players like this post! Like? |

I really like this idea but if they did add jaglions it would probably take a year or 2 :/ i support it though since i don't really mind waiting that long Jaglions are just so cute!0 players like this post! Like? |

Thank you for your support! I'm fully aware that it would take awhile for them to implement, since tigons aren't even out yet, but I still have faith that one day we might get our third possible hybrid announced ;P 0 players like this post! Like? |

I looked at the rejected suggestions and didn't see it marked as rejected :o Either way, perhaps they'd be willing to revisit jaglions if enough people show support? 0 players like this post! Like? |

Don't Jaguars live in Central/South America? Unless one *escapes* from a zoo in Kenya or Tanzania, this sounds highly unlikely. 0 players like this post! Like? |

If you read the post, I mentioned the rare possibility of a jaguar to escape from a zoo. Trust me, I'm not gonna even try to claim that jaguars live in Africa/Asia, lol. 0 players like this post! Like? |

I read/skimmed about 95% of the post. I must have missed that paragraph. It's a little too unlikely for me to support, I'm afraid. As rare as the Leopon is, it is at least somewhat more plausible. Lions run into leopards much more often than they would run into even an escaped zoo/rich person's pet Jacguar. It would be more likely, based on mutations/explore encounters we already have, than one day you log on to a notification that read 'that flirting leopardess you met a few months ago showed up at your border today, carrying a weird looking cub. She angrily said it you gave her that weird thing and she doesn't want it.' 0 players like this post! Like? |

Tigons are going to be added, and lions/tigons don't particularly meet many places in the wild. In fact, there are only a few places in Asia where their roaming ranges overlap, and even then, I'm not entirely sure, what with the human intervention. Tigons aren't exactly plausible, and lions and leopards would never reproduce naturally in the wild. 1 player likes this post! Like? |
