Aaron had an amused expression on his face as Jo left the classroom in what looked like confusion. He turned his attention back to his laptop when he couldn't see her anymore and decided that he was done with the project, seeing as there were no corrections left. Just as he closed his laptop, he saw Dan walking in with, of course, a cheerleader on his arm. "Morning," I mumble taking out my phone. "Sore from yesterday's practice quarterback?" Dan asks as he walks to sit beside Aaron, leaving the cheerleader on the other side of the class. "Surprisingly not, I'm feeling good today, except for the rejection," I wink even though I didn't care much, I had a feeling she was going to say no. "Ooh what's her face rejected you? How do you feel because from the record books, that's a first." Aaron rolls his eyes at his friend's teasing, "I don't care, she is strong willed and I admire that about her." Aaron replies.

After leaving the library, Jo headed back to the classroom, knowing that the library visit hadn't done much to clear her mind. She would have stayed longer but knew class was about to begin and didn't want to be late. Walking to class, she had the same feeling in her gut that she'd had when Aaron first walked into her classroom and they had been assigned partners. It was as if the other day hadn't happened, and Jo was glad for that. She should never like a boy like Aaron Hert ever, not in a million years, so she had a feeling that this was for the best. As she was about to turn the corner to walk into the classroom, Jo heard talking and knew it was the same guy that had tried to ask her out at lunch. Dan. And it seemed as though they were talking about her. Her anger boiled, as her hands balled up into fists at her side. How dare they?! And then she heard what Aaron said about admiring her, and she felt herself get confused all over again, wondering who Aaron was really. She sighed before walking into the class, not making eye contact with either of the guys or the cheerleader across the room. Jo immediately put her stuff down before getting what she needed for her backpack, knowing she had a few more minutes till class started.

When Jo walked into class Aaron noticed she had a confused expression on her face, what is that about? When the bell rung Aaron opened his books and waited for the teacher to start. "Alright class, the project is due today and I expect you to hand it in now, if it's not done, that's an absolute zero. You had three days to complete it so there are no excuses. Let's start with you Aaron." The teacher glared at him from the front and gave him an expecting look. "I don't remember Dan being your partner?" He said with a leveled tone. "No actually Jo is my partner." Aaron points towards Jo who was sitting on the other side of the room. "Where is your project?" The teacher said with an exasperated breath. "I handed it in online, with detail to the bone. The model you wanted us to do is with Jo."

Once the teacher called on Aaron, Jo wanted to raise an eyebrow at him as if to say 'really'? Jo was never late with anything. Ever. That was one of her pepeeves, and that's how she preferred it. If anything, she would turn in her assignments early but never would she turn them in late. Jo stood up, the model in hand before she walked up to the teacher's desk and placed it there, realizing that there's was one of the bests, if not the absolute best. And Jo liked being able to say that because it took hard work to become the best, and that was exactly what Jo put into all of her assignments. Hard work. She made her way back to her desk, zipping her backpack up, as the teacher continued to call more partners up, none of their projects as good as Jo's and Aaron's, and that actually brought a smile to Jo's face before she looked up at his board, writing what they would need to know and what supplies they would have to get for the next project. And once again, it was a partner assignment. Except this time, he was letting them pick their partners. Jo felt a sigh leave her mouth, as she shook her head.

Aaron taps his pencil on his desk impatiently waiting for the teacher to be done his speech and when he was finally done, he got up from his desk and walked over to the sitting form of Jo. "Wanna be partners again? I think our first go was pretty good." Aaron motions to the model they made.

Once Jo had collected everything she needed off the board, she put her journal into her backpack, waiting as the teacher finished calling everything off the list. Once he finished, it was a few moments before Aaron had walked up to the table she sat at, by herself since Jo liked to be alone more than anything. And when he asked her that question, she raised an eyebrow at him, wondering why he even wanted to be her partner again before realizing it was probably due to the fact that she got straight A's, and he wanted more of that. She sighed before looking at him with narrowed eyes. "Who says I want to be your partner again?" she asks him, watching him, searching him, trying to find out what his answer would be.

"I never said that," Aaron sat down beside her, "I was just hoping that we could be partners again since we did so good together the first time, if we didn't get at least a 90 on the project, I don't know what will."

It wasn't hard for Jo to realize that Aaron was ranting a bit to her. It seemed like he was almost......nervous? Around her? She couldn't imagine why. Aaron could usually get any girl he wanted, but not Jo. She wondered if it bothered him that she had yet to jump into his arms and tell him that she loved him. Jo scoffed. She would never be one of those girls, and she had a feeling that Aaron knew that. "If I say yes, will you leave me alone for right now?" Jo looked at him and raised an eyebrow before a small smile began to tug on her lips, letting him know she was messing with him. Something she was capable of doing, just didnt do much.

Aaron half smiled half smirk at Jo's half joke that he didn't know could come out of her mouth. "I mean, it depends if you really want me to? This is partner work and we still have and hour left of class." He opened his books and flipped to a new page. "And plus-" he was interrupted when two big hands came down on his shoulder, looking behind him he saw Dan smirking down at him. "Hey!" Dan yelled in Aaron's ear practically making him half deaf. "What are you doing?" Aaron let out a low growl like noise. "I saw you too and I decided to join, it seems like it would be boring without me." Dan smiled almost proudly but Aaron just countered with an annoyed response. "This is partner work, I mean I don't want to speak for Jo but I don't think she wants to join."

"I wasn't asking." Dan walked in front of Aaron's and Jo's desks and rested his elbows on the flat surfaces. "I was stating that I'm joining, I asked the teacher, he said it was ok to have a group of three."

Aaron gritted his teeth and looked over to Jo.

When Jo heard Dan's voice, she immediately looked up, feeling a scowl come to her face. as she heard him invite himself into the group. She felt a low growl leave her mouth, too low for anyone else to hear before her eyes looked between Dan and Aaron, wondering if they had planned this. Her eyes looked at Aaron, narrowing, as she shook her head and looked at Dan. "If this is one of the plays in your playbook, you can leave me out of it. I do not like you and am not working with you." Jo picked up her stuff, preparing to move to a different place, to find a new partner or better yet just ask if she could work alone. Her dark blue glared right through Dan before she looked at Aaron, and there was a tinge of hurt. "Either of you."

Aaron grabbed her elbow lightly, careful not to squeeze too hard, "Wait," He started, then looked back at Dan, "find another partner Dan." then turned back to Jo when Dan brushed Aaron off his shoulder like a mosquito. "I didn't plan that Jo, when it comes to school work I leave my playbook out. I know you don't like me but I know for a fact that you liked what came out of us working together." Aaron pointed at the project and let Jo's elbow go. "Sorry." He muttered in a low voice secretly hoping she didn't hear, he never said sorry to anyone before but Jo was a first, and it surprised even him.
