Aaron didn't really have a reason, he just wanted her to understand. "I guess you are the first person I have come across that I knew wouldn't go and blab it to everyone, things like this are hard to keep to yourself for so long, and I guess I can say you are different from everyone else I know."

Jo listened to his words and turned door to look at her hands that were now in her lap. She curled and unfurled them before she let her eyes wonder back to Aaron's face, as she wondered why Aaron had decided to tell her all of this information. She would hardly call themselves friends yet the conversation they'd had said otherwise. "What do you think we are?" Jo asks, her eyes wide and searching his as she awaited an answer.

"Acquaintances," Aaron said back, "I would like to be friends but..." He paused trying to find the correct words, "I don't think you'd like that. Plus you didn't believe me when I said my past was f'ed up so I'm hoping now you do, and I'm also hoping that you won't keep looking at me as if I were your enemy."

"I never said you were my enemy," Jo states, turning to look up at Aaron, wondering if she even wanted to be acquaintances with him. There were still so many things that she didn't understand and/or didn't like about him though she didn't ask. "And I don't have many friends," she tells him, her eyes looking, searching into his eyes. "That's how i like it."

"I'm sure one more couldn't hurt, after all, if I'm not mistaken, it would only bring your count up to three." Aaron didn't know why he even cared whether or not Jo was his friend but he did. "Plus, you are, after all, the first person I've ever talked to about this kind of thing." He sat back and put his hands on his lap, gazing at her response.

"I don't need more than two," Jo adds in quickly before looking at Aaron as he said she was the first person he had ever talked to about that sort of thing. "If i would have known you telling me would have made you like a puppy dog, following me around, I would have preferred you not tell me." She cracked a small grin before sighing in defeat. "Fine, i can use one more friend."

"I'm not a puppy dog, I'm more like a great dane." Aaron smiled at Jo and stood up, "So I'm guessing this means you wouldn't mind being my partner again?"

Jo shrugs, figuring it wasn't so bad to be partners with Aaron. After all, their last project had just slid by with an 'A' which was hard to get in that class because the teacher was so harsh. "But, no Dan!" Jo exclaims, shaking her head just thinking about the boy. "Offense to him, he's a dog."

Aaron chuckled and nodded, "Trust me, I had no intention to bring him along but should I be offended? You called me a dog in technicality." Aaron joked. "Are you busy Saturday afternoon? Unfortunately I have football practice after school tomorrow so we can't work then but we have all the time we need over the weekends."

Jo actually let out a small snort of laughter before she smiled and shook her head. "No," she answers, telling him he shouldn't be offended. "Puppies are cute and adorable. Everyone likes puppies. But some dogs are too mean and aggressive and people don't like them so technically nothing alike," Jo tells him, raising an eyebrow with a small grin on her face before she scrunched up her nose and shrugged her shoulders. "I was actually going to a football game Saturday," she tells him honestly.

Jo scrunched up her face before she stick out her tongue. "Yea, you are most defiantly not a puppy." And then Jo thought about her schedule for Saturday. She would be hanging out with her friends until the game which ended at seven. That was a late time to come over. "Why don't you just go to the game with me and then we can come back to your place?" She suggests.

Aaron smiled at her offer. "Would love to." He says taking out his phone and put the event down on his calendar. "Where and when would you like to meet? It's a pretty big campus."

"Game starts at five," Jo tells him, watching as he took out his phone, probably to record this down, and she began to wonder why she had invited him before shrugging it off, thinking that they were friends after all. Friends. Jo looked at Aaron. Never in a million years did she ever think she would be friends with someone like Aaron but she knew his story now. "We can meet up ay my place if you wish."

Aaron nodded and finished up his note for himself before tucking it into his pocket. "I'll be there at five then." He confirmed before putting his empty glass in the sink and walking back over to Jo.
