For years you've been trapped in this small inadequate cage, forced to watch the time go by. Crowds of humans come by and stare and point, none of them caring about you beyond the colors of your fur. You've come to accept that you're going to die here, never to be free again.

Until the storm.

One night, snow begins to fall. This is far from unusual, however it doesn't stop like it did in years gone by. No, the snow continues to pile higher and higher, until the walls of your prison fail under the wet weight and crash to the ground. You're not the only one who notices this, judging by the shouts of your 'caretakers' and the roars and screeches of the other cats. Refusing to spend another moment in this hell, you leap through the hole left in your enclosure and disappear into the snowy landscape.

You are free, but your battle has only begun. These lands are harsh, and hold no sympathy for the unprepared. Starvation, icy cliffs and predators all threaten your survival out here. Will you be strong enough to survive your trek into the wilderness?

-RP Rules-
Site rules will always apply. If you don’t like them then you shouldn’t be roleplaying. If you disobey any of them, whether it is minor or major, you will be removed from the roleplay.

-Semi-Literate-
This role play is highly semi-literate. That means you must type at least one fleshed out paragraph if not more. You must also have somewhat good grammar and punctuation. No text-talk as it can sometimes be annoying and confusing. What you may understand, others might not. I will not allow text talk in OOC either. I also require that everyone roleplays in third person past tense.

-Realistic-
This means your cat can't have wings, or oddly colored eyes/fur. I only want realistic characters. This also means that certain species of cat will be at a disadvantage in the roleplay based on where they are found naturally! For example, a cheetah is not going to fare as well here as a tiger.

-OOC-
Please keep all OOC posts off of the roleplay thread!

-Crushes/Mates-
You can’t be your own crush or mate. If you are then you will be asked to change it. If you want to be your own crush/mate (and have a good reason for it) then pm me and we will talk about it. Most of the time, I will not allow it.

-Sex and Birthing-
Don’t be descriptive with either of them. No one wants to know what your characters are doing when they're together, alone. I can get the idea without the words and also there are younger members on this site that don’t need to be exposed to such things.

-Mary Sue/Gary Sue-
No one at all is perfect and everyone has flaws. Do not come as the most perfect character in the world. If you do then you might not be accepted, or will be kicked out. Just giving you a heads up before you do that kind of thing. On another note, absolutely ‘NO GOD MODDING OR POWERPLAYING.’ This means auto-hitting. Do not assume your strike will make its target. Please see the section on fights, hunts and litter sizes for more information.

-Pictures-
Please do not post images on every post, as it may slow down other members' computers.

-Activity-
If you join, you must be active. If you go one week without posting, you will receive a warning. If you reach two weeks, your character will be killed off. Please pm me if you will be away for longer than a week to avoid this!

-Characters-
There is a limit of three characters per person. Genders do not have to be even. Be sure you can meet the literacy requirements for every character you join with!

-Fights, hunts and litters-
Fights: Fights will be permitted to go on for six posts (three per combatant) before a winner is determined. A dice roll will then be performed to determine the severity of any injuries. Every fight carries a small risk of death for each character involved.

Hunts: A dice roll will be performed to determine the outcome of the hunt (failure or success). Then each participant will have a dice roll performed to determine the severity of any injuries. Every hunt carries a small risk of death for each character involved.

Litter Sizes: Litters will range from two to three cubs and will be determined by a dice roll.

Litter Mortality: When you have decided your female will be bred, pm me so that I can do a dice roll to determine the mother's mortality. Each litter carries a small risk of death, with the first litter having a slightly higher chance. If the mother dies, any cubs she has will die as well. You will know before breeding if your female will survive so that you can decide whether to proceed or not. If you decide not to breed her, you will have to wait six months in roleplay time (six weeks IRL) to try again.

When the litter is born, a dice roll will be performed for each cub to determine their mortality.
