Private RP with 750 TheSeijun It had been a long, cold winter... There was nothing to show for it, as work had been slow, and Galin had been forced to find jobs in other places. His dearly beloved sister, whom was always so sickly, needed the money he provided so she could continue to get what medicines she needed. They were expensive, for the most part, and extremely difficult to get often times. Doing what he did had earned him a dark name, though he found it quite humorous. A soft snort was given, however, as Galin moved out. He was tall, much like an elf would be, but a bit more muscled. He had dark hair, cropped close to his skull to prevent it from being pulled on in a fight. Dark emerald eyes peered from his face, and he, overall, was a rather intimidating character. Frowning a bit, though, he sighed, and moved off. SOmeone had finally come to hire his services, and it was high and time he get some real good money rolling in... However, this one was going to take him some distance from his beloved sister, and she needed to be taken care of. Hopefully the person that he'd left her with was going to be good to her. He'd killed the last one... Shaking his head, though, he soon mounted up on his horse, and began to head towards the far west. It'd take him more towards where humans and elf kind lived, and he did not like either one.... The man, however, didn't realize that this journey would be a little different from the others. Crash. Shatter. The sounds that rang out into the night ripped through the silence like a dagger, and the mumbling of expletives and angry grunts followed suit. Numerous sets of running footsteps echoed down the cobblestone alley, laughter now bouncing off the walls. It was a group of three, a woman at the front and two rather disgruntled men on her heel. The woman, Yenearsira, an elf, was dressed in dark garments that hung close to her skin that let her fit right into the shadows. Her short silver hair framed her face, cut close on one side, and the other fell gracefully into lavender eyes. A smirk played on her lips as she ran, breaths coming in short, sharp pants. The two men behind her carried daggers, looks of anger flashing within their orbs. Yenearsira's black gloved hand held strands of silver beads, belonging to a local noble within the city. They had caught the elf's eye in court several days earlier, and she had decided to make them her own, or possibly sell them. Unfortunately, she'd lost poorly in a game earlier in the week, and she highly doubted she could swing the money from her family. With a grunt, Yenearsira attempted to increase her speed as she laid eyes on her mount ahead. She had managed to move several strides away from the two men in hot pursuit.. thankfully, they were human. Her hands wrestled quickly with the reins that were tied to a post in front of the tall, bay creature, who was pawing irritably. He knew his job. Throwing the reins over his neck, he piaffed several steps as the elf put a foot in the stirrup and threw herself over his back and spurred him forward. That was a closer call than she would have liked. 0 players like this post! Like? |

(So sorry this post is late. x.x Turns out, I had a lot of house work to do. Mom and dad decided it was time to get cleaning, and so I'm just finally able to get around to posting.) The poor woman was bound to get a startle when her horse nearly collided with the jet black stallion of Galin's. "Hey!" he snapped harshly. "Watch it! You're going to get someone hurt or killed!" The sneer that came out was rather venomous and cruel, his piercing eyes shifting beneath his hood, the shadows hiding most of his face. What on earth did this woman think it was she was doing? She was quite the klutz, in his personal opinion, and needed manners! Granted, he could use some manners himself.... He'd likely never gain any unless this odd darkness of his was, somehow, taken care of. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Yenearsira's eyes flashed wide as her gelding careened quickly away from a large black horse, pulling the reins so roughly they almost flew from her hands. Her body lurched forward painfully, nose almost slamming into the warm neck in front of her. "Dammit, Lyari!" The tone that rolled from her tone was angry and sharp, but she pulled herself up quickly in shock at the sound of another voice. She hadn't even noticed the reason her gelding had spooked.. well, or the person riding the beast. Angrily, Yenearsira reined Lyari around to face the man, taking notice of the hooded figure, but she was currently all adrenaline. The man could potentially be dangerous, she thought briefly, but it didn't matter. He was an ass. In no way could this possibly be her fault. That was just absurd. "Maybe if all of the riders around here are like you, they need to be! Knock some sense into you," Yenearsira's angry soprano ripped through the darkness at the man, her lavender eyes blazing with fury. Shouts and the sound of hooves rang out in the distance, and Yenearsira turned her head quickly to look in the direction from which they were coming. They had alerted the guards. With a smirk, she threw a look at the man. "Well, you've been seen with me now. Good luck!" She dug her spurred heels into the geldings side, turning him around and laughing as he shot forward. 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 12/01/17 @ 19:13:28 by TheSeijun (#750) |

Galin just sat there upon his horse, watching the other figures draw nearer. He didn't run like most folk would. Instead, he calmly dismounted his stallion, patting the beast's flank and waited there patiently. If these people were going to bother him...he'd have no troubles sending them packing, or even killing them. Spilling blood was something he did best, after all. "I do believe that, once we're done here, my faithful companion, we shall follow and pay that woman a visit... It'll be the last time she speaks to me that way..." he growled darkly. She seemed so high and mighty, thinking she could do no wrongs. He'd been simply moving along at a decent walk, his horse doing as he was told. She, however, had been fleeing like a bat out of Hades. So how on earth was he in the wrong? 0 players like this post! Like? |

"You! Boy!" Both men were practically panting as they pulled their horses to a stop in front of him, leaping off of their mounts. They looked around wildly, searching for Yenearsira, but finding only this stranger they had seen her stop next to. Drawing their swords, they released the reins of their horses as they regarded him coldly. "What do you have to do with that woman?" The man on the right questioned sharply, looking from him to the direction that the girl had run. "And where did she go?" His companion echoed. "She has at least fifty gold pieces worth in jewelry of ours." --- Yenearsira, once she was out of that section of town, let out a laugh as she sat back lightly on Lyari, and he instantly slowed to a trot, and then a fast walk. As he threw his head and snorted, she stretched a gloved hand down to pat him on the neck, turning the necklace over in the palm of her other hand. That was much more difficult than it should have been. Poor schmuck. He was in for it now.. but it was his fault. She quickly dismounted, handing Lyari over to a groom that worked for a local innkeeper. The front drinking hall was buzzing with excitement and noise, as she could hear from the outside. A great place to slink into the shadows. Walking inside, she removed her gloves, sliding them into her satchel along with the jewelry. No one paid her any attention as she moved to the back of the room and slid a chair out from under the table, sitting down to take in the environment. 0 players like this post! Like? |

"Boy? ... I do think you should speak a little more kindly to your elders..." he snorted, soon drawing his hood back. It was clear that he was a half elf from this now, and his eyes narrowed. "What is it to me if you cannot keep your grubby hands upon your own jewelry? And why should I care where it is she has gone? She is neither by business, nor my concern. However, if you continue to insist upon raising your pitiful swords at me, I shall have to kill you both, and leave you as a warning to all those who have dared to take out their rage against me..." Galin soon carefully pulled out his daggers, made by elvish hands. The feathered runes in them danced and glinted in what little light there was, and he just stood there, waiting for them to either withdraw, or attack him. "After all, you'd be foolish to come up against me... I am your better in combat... Galin's the name, and bounty hunting is the game, so unless you have business with me? I suggest moving along and chasing your little vixen." 0 players like this post! Like? |

Both sets of eyes widened as he drew his hood back and began to speak. What was their luck and dealing with elves, as of late? However, they would be as good as dead if they didn't come back with the jewelry.. and by now, she was long gone. So they might as well come back with some sort of elf head. They could say he had sold it or destroyed it. Nearing closer, they both lunged at him with their blades, one for his knees, and the other at his throat. (Feel free to kill them, or do whatever you wish to do with them, and I'll respond accordingly. (: ) ---- Quickly, a waitress walked to Yenearsira's table, a blush spread across her cheeks from the heat and energy in the room, especially under the attention of most of the men in the room. A knowing look touched her lips as she put in an order for an ale, running a hand quickly through her hair, and then a hand over her belt, making sure her sword was still there. She wasn't as skilled as most fighters, but she was fast, and if she did manage to hit an opponent, which was surprisingly rare, the elven female was skilled in the art of poison. She had always meant to find someone to teach her swordplay, but her father looked down upon it. She was a lady, not a fighter. When the girl brought her drink back, Yene pulled it quickly to her lips, taking a small swig as she stood. A group of humans was playing some form of dice game at a center table, and it looked fun. Setting her drink down on a table, she sat down on the lap of one of the men, earning a grunt of surprise. She leaned forward, eyeing the game, and then shot a glare at the man across from her. "Explain the game to me. I want to play." At first, her response was just a blank stare, which earned a few inebriated laughs from those watching the scene, but then the man began to explain the purpose of the game.. and about how it was a betting game. Welp. Thankfully, she had the necklace. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Galin's eyes narrowed slightly at this, and he soon just did a form of cartwheel towards the right, his horse bolting a few yards away to avoid getting damaged. "Still want to take my head do we? Well... Come on then. Try to hit me. You humans are pathetic and slow... So, I don't see this ending to well for you at the moment. Might I suggest going back to your mistress or master? Or perhaps running away with what dignity you will have left?" At this time, he was now ready to fight, and if they insisted? Oh, how he would go through with it. It seemed these morons had not heard of him.... 0 players like this post! Like? |

The second man went tumbling forward, chin smashing with a crack into the cobblestone below, a groan rolling from his throat. Blood dribbled down his lip, as he apparently had chomped down onto his tongue. Luckily, the other man had caught himself well, but threw a look of confusion at the strange half elf. The name sounded vaguely familiar, but he couldn't put any sort of finger on it. Probably just another criminal.. there were far too many around here. Extending an arm down to his companion, he dragged him up and backed away slowly, pulling himself onto his horse. "I don't care who you are, boy. But we don't want to die today. If you're out for blood, find that elf friend of yours. Aren't you half elves supposed to hate your elf counterparts?" He snorted, reining his horse and trotting off. The other man pulled himself painfully onto his horse and followed suit, throwing a glance back as they retreated. 0 players like this post! Like? |

"That's much more like it," Galin mused softly to himself, snickering a bit. He soon sheathed his blades, whistled for his horse. The stallion came trotting over, head bobbing and a hoof stamping. That was right, pitiful humans! They'd best run from his rider! "What a pitiful rumor... Hating my own elvish brothers and sisters?" Galin laughed at that, quite loudly, too. "Oh, no... No, no, no... I loathe them..." With that, he soon was upon his steed, and turned it around. Time to track that pretty little lady down, and show her what it meant to deal with him.... His bounty could wait. 0 players like this post! Like? |

OOC:// Bahaha the horse. "I win! Yenearsira's voice rang out through the tavern, her eyes alight with excitement. Well, either excitement, or the three ales she'd consumed in the last twenty minutes. She ran a hand through her hair, the grin on her face contagious. The man that was in her seat just fifteen minutes ago was now three chairs over, arms crossed with amusement. The one across the table, however, looked absolutely sorrowful as he pushed ten silver pieces across the table. Thankfully, she'd played this game many times before, though not that she'd tell them. With a tap of her heeled boot on the ground, she looked around for her next victim. "Who wants to play me next?" She called out, her voice as scary sounding as she could muster, which brought about a chain of laughter from onlookers. A man came down and sat in front of her, and the game begun.. though her mind wasn't quite in it this time. Boredom touched her vision as she glanced around, and then down at her now empty glass. What a day. 0 players like this post! Like? |

She'd likely hear the doors creak open to the tavern, and a hooded figure walked in. With how much ale she'd had to drink, it'd be hard to tell if she'd recognize him. Galin had b een about to pass this place before he'd seen her horse, and heard her rather annoying tone. His eyes darted about the room, and he soon approached the table where the woman sat. He merely stood there, watching the game. "...Play before have we?" he mused then to her in a soft tone, leaning down to whisper that to her ear. "I suggest you be outside in five minutes. Try to exit any other way than the front door, and I'll kill you where you stand befor eyou can even scream...." The tone was hushed, just enough so she could hear it. "I'll be waiting..." WIth that, he then left as silently as he'd come, knowing she'd do one of two things; bolt, or come out. And oh, how he was hoping she'd bolt.... 0 players like this post! Like? |

Despite her alcohol induced state, though currently only slightly inebriated, she heard the tavern door open.. Though probably only because of her scatter brained mindset were her eyes and ears wandering. However, she didn't see who it was, they had escaped her field of vision, as the man in front of her had cursed right before he came in. She'd won again, though her hands had done all the work. Well, that was lucky. This was the first time in awhile she hadn't lost everything she just stole. However, with a voice suddenly in her ear, a shiver ran down her spine. And not the good kind. Her eyes flashed towards the man at her back, the feeling of fear striking into her core. Adrenaline moved through her veins immediately, sobering her up very quickly. As she watched him leave, thoughts ran through her mind quickly. She knew every exist int he place.. and she had never seen or heard of the man.. so he probably didn't know the town. And she happened to know that there was a hatch leading to the roof. Once she saw him leave, she stood up, collecting the gazes of many drunk patrons. Grabbing her satchel off her chair, she moved quickly and quietly up the stairs, bursting into a room, much to a couple's dismay. With a curse, she pushed the hatch open quickly, pulling herself up and out. Once she was there, she knelt and closed the panel, slipping her gloves on. Sighing, she grasped the edge of the roof with a hand and lowered herself down quickly, absorbing the rather painful impact to her shoulder with a roll. She had to find her horse. 0 players like this post! Like? |

That she did, but she'd find Galin was standing right there next to the creature, stroking its neck and just holding to its reigns. The look upon his face was one of a strange calm, as if soem storm were brewing off in the distance. But then a strange exhaustion overcame him, if only briefly. His gaze then darted towards the shadows, eyes narrowing. "...Didn't I tell you not to try and escape? Just because I've not been here before does not mean I don't know my terrain... I study it, I have to... Now, come here, and we can have a nice, civil discussion... Or I can hunt you down and drag you back in your own blood. Which is it you prefer?" 0 players like this post! Yenearsira's eyes widened briefly, but she clenched her fists and her jaw, facing the man. Why did he come to find her? It was his fault that her horse had almost ran him over. He should have watched where he was going. Obviously, he had no common sense. "You did, but whether or not I listened is a different story. You don't know who I am, halfling. The roof hatch could be my front door for all you know." Her voice was steely as ever, and definitely gave the sense that she was way more confident than she felt. With a blink, she straightened up, running her hand yet again through her silver locks. Nervous habit, much? "What are you doing here, anyways? Don't you have other horses to run into?" Her voice was a pout now. 0 players like this post! Like? |
