Darkness consumed the room. Penelope squinted to see through the inky black. She felt frightened and alone. Her breath quickened and her heart sped up. "Hello?" She called into the empty void. "Is anyone here?" Her voice echoed farther and farther. Was there really no one there? Was she really all alone?

"I'm here."

A voice so gentle and kind said behind her. She would know that voice anywhere. She turned to face a little boy. His dark brown hair dirty and knotted, brown eyes hazy and sad. Dried blood sat on his eyebrow, his eye was black and bruised. His lips drooped in a frown. He was so small and innocent. Her little brother's dirty face was looking up at her, tears making streaks in the soot. "Sammy," was all she was able to get out before he inurpted her.

"Why didn't you save me?" His lips quivered. "You promised we'd make it out. You promised I'd be okay."

Penelope felt tears prickle at her eyes. Her head shook in denial. "I tried Sam. I tried so hard to help you," her voice quiet and full of sorrow.

"You killed me!" The little boy screamed at her. "You killed me!" His fragile finger pointed at his sister in accusation. "Why did you let me die!" He continued, "Why did you let me die!"

Penelope's eyes snapped open. The alarm clock blared it's earsplitting noise. Her face was damp from her tears. She wiped them away and got out of bed. She took off her flannel pajama pants and white tank top to put on a crimson skirt, light brown top with wholes in the area of her biseps, and a pair of black combat boots. She put in a pair of diamond stud earnings she got from her dad, a few rings, and two bracelets. As she put on her make-up she tried to shake her dream. It was so real. Her brother's face was the same one that she had held when they were alone in the dark, hurt and changed. Penelope shook her head to remove the image from her head and forced the memories back into the dark corners of her mind so she wouldn't recall them in the near future.

The girl walked down the stairs into her kitchen. Her mother was sitting with her Half-Sister studying spelling words for the test in a few days. "Morning hun," her mom greeted her with a smile. Penelope raised her hand for a little wave and walked to the fridge. She grabbed the milk and set it on the counter. The pantry held the cereal that she wanted and the cupboard had the bowl. She poured herself a bowl of cereal and enjoyed each sugary bite. Until it got soggy and she decided to dump it out in the sink. After brushing her teeth, the teen grabbed her book bag and keys.

"Bye mom, love you," She called from the front door.

"Love you too," Her mother responded. Penelope went out of the door and headed to her car. The silver 2007 Mazda 6 was a gift for her 17th birthday. Ever since then she's felt both more free but also more restricted. Having a car made her have a job to pay for insurance and gas, but she enjoyed the ability to go places with out having to ask to borrow the car. She also didn't have to ride the bus. The normal five minute drive to school was expected. It wasn't winter so there was no snow, it wasn't spring so there wasn't mud, and it hadn't rained the night before so the roads were nice and dry. Her music was loud, she just played so she had something to district her from her thoughts.

Penelope parked in her normal spot. It was close to the front of the school so she didn't have to walk far. They had only been back to school for a month and a half but she felt like she had never left. At least this was her last year, then off to college, or so her mother and stepfather thought. The teen didn't know if she wanted to go to college or not, but what could she do if she didn't go? Probably work at McDonald's for the rest of her life. Penelope grabbed her bookbag and walked inside the school. She waved at people she knew, even some that she didn't, on her way to her locker. She opened the grey locker and started to unpack her bag, getting ready for the day to start.

Male||18||Healing

Scott slammed his hand down on the snooze button once more. The teen did not want to wake up this morning. He turned his back to the clock and shut his eyes. Not even a minute later his door slammed open. He jumped and sat straights up. "Scott! Get your lazy butt out of be!" His sister's shrill voice scolded.

"My god Amy, you scared the crap out of me," he responded, holding his hand to his bare chest. Amy gave her brother a tern look and closed the door behind her when she left. Scott pulled the covers off his legs and pushed himself off of his bed. Before doing anything else, he turned on the radio and started to sing along. He grabbed a grey shirt from his dresser and pulled it over his head. His brown hair messily fell over his face, he ran his fingers through the tangled mess to get it out of his eyes. Scott grabbed a pair of jeans and shoved his legs through. He wore a pair of black tennis shoes, turned off his music and walked out his door. But he forgot his phone so he walked back and grabbed it off his bedside table.

He went over to the bathroom. The door was shut and the bathroom fan was on. "Come on Amy, hurry up!" Scott yelled at his sister from the other side. She opened the door and walked out and down the stairs, but not without giving him the eye. He went I to the bathroom and did his hair and brushed his teeth. He got everything else settled before running down the stairs and grabbing an apple from the fruit bowl.

He was going to be late if he didn't leave now. Scott grabbed his black leather jacket and his book. Amy ho nked the horn from her car. "I'm coming, I'm coming," he grumbled under his breath before running out the door. It only took a few minutes to get to school. "Bye," He said to his sister before getting out of her car. She waved to him and went to find a place to park. He ran up to his locker to get situated for his first class of the day.

ANDREA SMITH
Andrea was practically dragging her legs behind her, today was not a good morning for her thanks to her brother splashing a tonne of water on her because she wouldn't wake up. The irony of it though, she controlled water and yet it bothered her when ever someone used it against her. She met up with Eros and gave him a big hug before stepping back. "Hey you." She said and smiled at his goofy grin."How was your summer?" He asked with a little nudge. "You just saw me yesterday goof ball, ready to get to class?" Eros smiles and nods his head. As they walked into their class they saw two people sitting at a table, and in any other occasion they would've thought it normal but in this, they could sense something was...off, about them. "You sense it too?" Eros muttered. "Yea, it's this weird pull, I don't know."

Penelope grabbed her book, pencil case, and notebook and headed to class. She sat at her seat that was situated on the far left right in the middle of the row. She was always early to class, earning her title as try hard. How else would you keep your parents at bay other than doing your work? She didn't know how kids who did nothing in class were able to hear themselves think over their parents lectures. Maybe their parents reciprocated their carefree attitude. The usual kids shuffled into class. The kid with the glasses who sat up front and answered every question right, the guy in the back who was always sleeping, and the ditzy brunette that sat with all of her friends. She rolled her eyes as the jock who was a known player sat right next to the ditz. Like a lion, picking off the weakest link. She thought to herself.

That was when two kids came into the room. A girl and a guy. They exchanged looks and they whispered something to each other. Penelope felt a weird feeling in her gut. Something was... off about those two. Maybe she was just imagining things. Her hands trembled slightly, causing her to drop her pencil. The clink of the pencil on the ground pulled her out of her trance. Had she been staring? She picked up her pencil. No, no, she was fine. But she couldn't shake that odd feeling she got from the two, like they knew something that she didn't or maybe they had something that she had. "You're rediculous," she said to herself under her breath. There was no way. No other human could possibly have powers like her.

Or could they?

Penelope shook her head to get rid of that thought. She was being crazy, paradoid even. Everyone who looks at you like that looks suspicious. They were probably just looking at her because they had never met or maybe they though she looked weird. The bell rung and all the seats were filled as the teacher began his lesson.

"Alright class," Mr. James announced "Open your text books..." Penelope blocked out the rest, she was unable to concentrate.

EROS KAPELLI

Eros walked down the hallways towards the cafeteria to meet Andrea at their normal lunch table, neither of them fancied that they had lockers on the other side of the school from each other but it wasn't like he could control people's minds. Ok he could but he chose not to use his powers unless he really needed to. He saw Andrea at the table looking down at her phone and frowning in confusion, as he walked up to her and placed his lunch bag down, he grabbed her phone and looked at the screen. "Ugh seriously? Could you be more creepy." Eros muttered. He handed her phone back to her when she just gave him a quick glare, "I'm not creepy, there's a reason why google exists." She fired back, "Nothing came up though." Andrea raised her eyebrow and cocked her head to the side, a sign that they both agreed on telling Eros that she wanted to say something to him, just not out loud. Eros sighed and sat down, crossing his fingers while focusing on her thoughts, do you think she could be...you know, one of us? Andrea thought in her mind. No, no way, that can't be possible, there aren't many left of 'us' out there. Most were killed in 'the hunt'. Eros said into her mind. Andrea just frowned looked down, but what if. Eros sighed and looked to the side to see the girl they were talking about walk in with another guy. Eros looked back as Andrea and gave him an expectant look. We have to find out she thought again. He just grunted in annoyance before looking over at the girl, focusing on digging into her mind.

"Ahh!" He cried out suddenly gripping his head when a sudden pain shot through it. Something is preventing me from looking in, I don't now what it is.. He held his head down while the pain subsided, that makes me curious as to what is going on. Andrea thought before taking her lunch out of her bag.

Scott had a normal morning. His first class was English, then math, and then study hall. He had already done all of his homework and was read for the rest of the day. He didn't ever pack his lunch so he head straight from his class to lunch room. He would have made it there earlier if he hadn't ran right into a girl almost causing her to fall over. "Oh, I'm so sorry, are you okay? I should have been watching where I was going," His concerned voice shown genuine intentions.

"I'm fine, its fine, it was my fault," She told him.

"How about you sit with me at lunch, so I can make it up to you," Scott added.

"No its fine, it happens all the time. I'm clubsy and..." She tried, but he interuped her.

"I insist," He could see her give up as she nodded in agreement. "What's your name?"

"Penelope, and your Skip right?" She responded.

"Its Scott, but you were close." He chuckled. The poor girl's face turned red, she pulled her hands over her mouth.

"I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to, I mean of course Skip isn't your name, I must have mistaken you for another tall dark haired guy," She shook her head. "I don't think you want to eat lunch with me now, do you?"

"Its fine," Scott told her as he opened the door to the lunch room. "After you."

"Thanks," She responded. Penelope sat down in her regular spot and started to unpack her lunch as Scott went to buy lunch. She felt this sharp pain in her temples as Scott sat down in front of her. She grunted softly as to not to alarm him. It was coming from something, or maybe something. She pulled her fingers to her temple as the pain started to subside.

"You okay?" Scott asked her.

"Yeah, I'm good," She said. Penelope let her eyes drift over to the two she saw in class this morning. The feeling in her gut returned, only to be stronger. Something was different about them. Scott turned his head to the two she looked at.

"Oh, I see," He said with a knowing smirk.

Penelope turned back to the teen in front of her. Her face moved to a puzzled look. "What?" She questioned.

He chuckled and smiled mischievously. "You've got a crush," He snickered. Penelope's eyes widened and her face turned even redder.

"No, no, no, no, no!" She shook her head vigorously. "That's not what it is," She took a bite of her sand which. There was no way. He is cute, Her mind told her Oh shut up, now is not the time. She scolded.

"Sure its not," Scott said with a smile. He started to eat his food, oblivious to anything else.

ANDREA SMITH (( And Eros ))
As Andrea continued to stare at the two people sitting at the table, her gut was still pulling in odd ways, it was definitely not fun. "Go and talk to them, make friends even, I'll go with if you want?" Eros interrupted her thoughts but Andrea was already planning to do so since there was still over half an hour of lunch left. "Ok, you sure you want to come?" Andrea checked. "Psh please, why wouldn't I." Eros smiled and got up too, bring his lunch with him.

"Hey. Um I noticed you in class today? I wanted to talk to you and maybe become friends but-" You are so lame Eros interrupted her sentence by talking into her mind, earning a scowl from her. Let me show you how it's done. Eros smirked and approached the girl, taking a seat beside her, "Eros Kapelli." He introduced himself before continuing, "and you may be...?"

Things between Penelope and Scott were quiet. Not because they were awkward but because they were eating. That's why hearing a girl's voice caused Penelope to jump slightly. She looked up to see the blue eyes stare back at her. The girl from across the room was standing right in front of her. Scott looked over at the girl standing next to him. He didn't really know her. He didn't even know if they had any classes together. He smiled, but before he could saw anything she was looking at someone else. They guy that was sitting over their came and sat right next to Penelope.

Penelope swallowed the bite of sand which in her mouth before answering Eros. "Not interested." She said, not even looking over at the boy sitting next to her. She moved her head to look at him. "But since you walked all the way over here," She paused, "It's Penelope. I'd say it's a pleasure, but..." She let her sentence trail off, she gave him a smile that said she was just kidding and chuckled, taking another bite of her sand which.

"I'm Scott, by the way," The boy announced to the small group. He felt something else was going on other than a chat to become friends. Some other motive for coming over.

EROS KAPELLI (( And Andrea ))
Eros glared at Penelope's sandwich before glancing at Scott who looked completely oblivious then at Andrea who had the same scowl on her face. Try again She thought in her mind to Eros. Eros sighed and focused on digging into Penelope's mind again but this time instead of piercing pain, he could see what she really was and it took every inch of him not to rear back in shock that Andrea was right. Manipulation of Vibration Eros said to Andrea in his mind. Andrea clenched her jaw before motioning to go. "I hope the vibrations don't get too strong." Eros whispers in Penelope's ear before smirking and getting out of his chair. "Nice to meet you Scott." Eros said before getting a glimpse in Scott's mind, and his heart nearly stopped for the second time today. "See you around guys." Eros ran and caught up to Andrea. That Scott guy is like us too. Eros tells Andrea. Four of us in one place at the same time? That's dangerous, why would they be here? Andrea replies back.

Penelope felt Eros' hot breath on her ear. Her spine tingled, the hair on her neck stood up. "I hope the vibrations aren't too strong for you." Echoed in her mind. She about choked on her sandwich, and quickly took a drink of her water. She coughed to clear her throat, but before she could say anything the two were leaving.

"Hold up, wait," Was all she could get out, hoping they would stay and tell her how they knew. Maybe the sentence was just a coincidence. There is no way that was on accident Penelope, and you know it, Her mind nagged.

Scott was shocked at how quickly Penelope reacted to Eros. He was quite confused. Some reason he felt like his privacy had been invaded, like someone knew his secrets. He felt exposed. He felt weird about the two that just showed up. Scott questioned whether they were normal or like him or not. He didn't know if anyone had survived or escaped Marcus. Had there been others like him? Why was this thought just now coming to him? He looked over at the strange pair in bewilderment, then turned back to Penelope. Could she be one of them too?

EROS KAPELLI (( And Andrea ))

Eros turned around a smirked, stopping and turning around Andrea as well, "Yes?" He asks crossing his arms. I think it worked. I told you to trust me Eros smiled and looked and Andrea who was smirking a bit too. Maybe I should trust you more often, what did you say to her anyways. Eros just shrugged then pointedly looked at Scott He has healing, also one of us Andrea scoffed and laughed, thinking Eros was joking but then her jaw dropped when Eros didn't laugh with her, Wait you are serious? She asks just to make sure. I don't joke Andre.

Penelope gave him a glare that said 'test me and you die' and beckoned Eros to come over to her with her hand. If anyone knew. What would happen to her family? Would they move? Would she be sent away somewhere? Would the government take her away and do things that she did t want to think about to her? These thoughts raced through her mind as her heart beat faster and faster. Her hands began to shake. She pulled them together and set them on her lap to hide the issue.

How long had it been? How long had it been since she lost control? Extreme emotions could cause her to lash out, using her powers. She would resonate with the frequency of everything around her. This could cause tremors, seizers in herself and others, and even cause things to burst or explode. Her hand shaking was the first sign. If her rage, nerves,or any strong emotion took hold of her body, she didn't want to think about what she would do.

Scott could see the tension, he could cut it with a knife. He probably wasn't the only one to see Penelope's hands tremble. Why was she so emotional all of a sudden? What can one person say that could turn her from perfectly normal to... this? Scott began to feel more and more anxious about this whole situation. He set his spoon down gently and set his hands down on the table. He didn't know how this situation would end.

(Sorry it took me so long. I was in a movie marathon with my mom of all the Back to the Futures. Then I had to clean.)

Eros walked towards Penelope and returned the glare that he was given. "What? Now you want to talk to me?" Andrea snickered beside Eros. Cock she stated but Eros just ignored her comment and leaned on the lunch table.

Penelope didn't let her eyes off Eros as he came closer to her. As soon as he stopped talking, she grabbed him by the shirt and pulled him so their noses were almost touching. Her face was stern and serious. She wasn't joking around. She moved her head so her mouth was close to his ear. "Tell me how you know," She paused to take a shaky breath, "Tell me how you know or else I'll cause your heart to resonate at a frequency that the tissue can't handle. This will cause your heart to explode in your chest. I could do it and not even flinch." She looked him in they eyes. "And if you think I'm joking, go ahead, don't tell me. You'll seriously regret it." She said through clenched teeth. Her icey blue eyes stared at the teen, ready for his reponce.

Eros smiled at her words, his eyes flickering to her lips before moving back up to her eyes. He liked a challenge and definitely didn't like losing, with a quick twitch of his fingers he completely froze her body in it's position and shutting off her powers, thanks to his 'triple T' powers, or as Andrea liked to call it. "Oh? Is that so? i dare you to try right now princess. I loooove a challenge."

Penelope felt a wave come over her body. She was unable to move. Her arms were locked in place, her hand frozen on Eros' shirt. Fire burned behind her eyes as anger flared in her stomach. Her teeth grinded together. A single word left her lips, "Coward." There was one trait she hated over any other, cowardice. Eros felt threaded by her. He obviously used whatever power he had to make sure she couldn't hurt him. He didn't want to face her, or maybe he was just an idiot. An idiot with a god complex.

Scott looked over at the blonde. Then he looked back at the two in front of him. And then back at the blonde. "Should we do something?" He whispered over at her in confusion.
